Hey! My name is Chris. I'm sixteen years old, a Sophomore in High School once it starts, and I love to run. Harry Potter is probably my favorite book series ever, and I love writing fanfiction when I get the time. (Which unfortunately isn't very often and when I do it's in a notebook, not on here.)
I used to be more into humor fics, but I'm starting to read L/J more. I read Marauder Era fics a lot, too. I'm obsessed with the Marauders and Lily Evans. I loved the Phoenix movie, but I could still make a very long list of things I didn't like about it. I was crushed that they cut out Snape's Worst Memory, but then again, if they wouldn't have I would have been more dissappointed that Sirius and James weren't cute.
I love my friends. I can trust several of them with just about anything. I trust them more than it is probably a good idea to trust most people. They could blackmail me if they wanted to. Luckily, they don't. I really appreciate how comfortable some of my guy friends and I are. They'll lean over and whisper "she's hot!" without a second thought about it. I really appreciate it when their next comment is "but her skirt is too short." They resect me, and vise-versa. I know they'd respect me enough to tell me if MY shorts were a little too short.
As far as boks, other than HP, I love, love, LOVE the Left Behind and Left Behind serieses. They're the awesomest ever :) I'm always reading something, but that's my thing right now :)
My favorite Movie (debaitably) after the Phoenix and GoF would have to be the Pirates of the Carribean (The Black Pearl). The second one was great and I totally loved it, but the 1st was just better. Also, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom... They are amazing. Haha.
I love Contemporary Christian and Country music. Casting Crowns is with no doubt my favorite band in the history of the universe, and Jeremy Camp is a close second.
I've gotta live in the smallest town in Ohio, and our K-12 school is really little. This year I'm running track and cross country again. CC is the awesomest sport ever in the history of awesome sports. I love how close we all are on the team.
I play trumpet in the marching band and I'm in the Science Olympiad, which pretty much makes me the biggest geek ever, but I'm okay with that. At least most of my friends are on the teams.
Random fact about me- I spelled my name wrong on the morning of the spelling bee last year.
BOOKS & MOVIES
Did you cry when Sirius died? Almost. I had a huge bloody blister looking thing on my lip from chewing on it and it wouldn't go away for a couple weeks.
What about Dumbledore? I was devastated. Ditto the lip thing that nobody wanted to know.
Do you like the movies as much as the books? No, but I loved the GoF and Phoenix movies.
Hottest HP actor? Tom Felton and Robert Pattinson.
What scene did they leave out in the movie you wish they hadn't? I can never decide if I wanted them to cut Snape's Worst Memory or not becuase it's my favorite scene in book 5 and maybe even in the first 6 books, but I havent sen it yet (anxious for the DVD to come out!), so I can't make that call yet. **My DVD doesn't have special features... does anyone else's??
Favorite movie moment? Hermione just being annoying in the 1st one. Or Ron just being an idiot. That's always fun :) Then maybe after the 2nd task in the Gof. Hermione was really funny there, too :)
Least favorite movie moment? Whenever Dumbledore is there after the first 2 movies. It's not just a differant actor, they made him a hippie. Gag me. I mean, he has jingle bells in his beard, and you can hear them when he talks.
Favorite character in movie? Today it is Alan Rickman as Snape. (That might change tomorrow, I can never decide.) I'm a little nervous about him in the DH movie though. I just can't picture him in (spoiler!) his death scene ("Look at me") or sobbing in Dumbledore's office, devistated over Lily's death. I hope he'll suprise me and pull it off wonderfully. :)
Favorite Movie? Mmmmm... I'd have to say Phoenix. I loved it so much :)
Right now, I'm writing my 1st fic- "Hard to Find, Difficult to Leave, Impossible to Forget". I suprized myself by writing a romance fic (It's L/J). I never do stuff like that. I'm such a tomboy. :) It took me ages to finally be satisfied with the way my 1st chapter ended up, but I'm getting there. My life is incredibly hectic, but it's summer, so my schedule is slowed down a little. I'll try to type up the rest of it quicker than I have been :) Oh, and thank you to my wonderful beta, Emily. She's so awesome :) Thanks so much, Emmi :)
Well, that was practically a book right there :) I'll shut up for now :)
Aw, I've read this before, but it's a dull, hot summer morning, and I needed something to do, so here I am :) I loved how you had Harry just sleeping through this whole thing- well, I mena, that part's obvious, but that showed me that Harry's jsut oblivious to what's going on between them all of the time and that probably will not change.
Author's Response: haha yes he is. glad you still like it :)
Aaaaawwww! That was so sweet!! I really enjoyed that, thanks!! You really captured both of their characters really well. Definitly one of my favorite fics ever! :)
Author's Response: omg, thank you!!! favorite EVER?? you\'re soo sweet!! i tried to make ron & hermione believable so I\'m really happy you think i did!! thanks a bazillion, chris!
Your calling Hufflepuffs "puffs" nearly killed me, but I'll be okay. Mind, kind, mind, and kind rhyme? :) Your sorting hat song was awkward, but I can't imagine that it was easy to write. I liked that you mentioned the Ressurection Stone. It pulled this together with the series for me.
Author's Response: um . . . as far as I am aware, mind and kind do rhyme!! Maybe we have different accents. Ah, I tried really hard on the Sorting Hat song, but I am no poet. Glad you like the fic!
I can see harry out at Muggle shops, jsut trying to get away from being noticed. I liked that you mentioned that. "I have heard the story of that both from him and also from Bill when he got drunk one family gathering and told all the kids about the last battle." Haha!! Bill is the only Weasley I can see doing that, too :) You crack me up. :) And I love that Hermione gave Teddy a copy of "Hogwarts, A History"!!
Author's Response: Lol, yes, to all of those. Glad you liked this chapter!
Why is Slughorn still teaching??? Isn't he quite old?? He taught Lily and James. Haha. He's been teaching for at least fifty years. But it's your story, so do what you want. :) I also don't think that Harry would have downplayed Dermot's being terrible so much to Teddy. He went through it with Snape, and even though he's forgiven Snape now, he wouldn't forget how miserable he made him in school. *repeat of history*
Author's Response: Well, Dumbledore was teaching at the age of 150, I think Slughorn can manage. ;) Well, you\'ll see Harry being guilty about it later on . . .
Vicky? EW!! Sorry, but... I love the name Victoire. Please don't use icky nicknames. It hurts me.
Author's Response: Better than Mione. ;)
Please kill Edith.
Author's Response: No, there are more important people to kill. ;)
Aw, I like the name Albus Severus. I like it a lot. If it wasn't a Harry Potter character's name, I'd totally name my son Albus. :)
Author's Response: . . . poor child. :p
Wow. That's all I can say. That was a really excellent story! You really summed up Remus's charater well for me. Thanks for letting me enjoy reading this!! This is definitly one of my favorite fics ever.
-Chris
Aaw, I haven't come this close to crying reading something since the DH last summer. Thanks so much for writing this and helping me to understand how I feel. And actually, it wasn;t the second part that got me as much as the first. My friend's grandfather died the other week. Thank you for writing this.
Author's Response: I\'m so sorry about your friend\'s grandfather. Interesting that the first part affected you more... thank you so much for your thoughtful review.
This is such an excellent story! My only issue with it is that I've been at my computer for three hours reading it when I should be packing for a mini-trip tomorrow... Oh well. Thanks for writing this :) I really like your writing style!!
Aw, this was sad. But sweet. I enjoyed it very much, thank you for saving me from boredom and going over my limit on text messaging. I'd love to see a sequel to this!! If you could let me know if you write one, I'd be very greatful :)
-Chris
Author's Response: i will :)
Wait. I feel stupid. We used to be penpals, didn't we? Haha.
Author's Response: oh yeah!! lol good times..
Aw, this is sweet!! I love Remus and Tonks!!! Thanks for writing this well... I haven't had time to read FanFition for ages with school and track, and I'm addicted again :)
-Chris
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I love them too! I am so glad that people don\'t hate this!
Aw, I know, it's terrible when no one has anything "bad" to say. I hate that. I'll look closer next time, I promise! :)
-Chris
Author's Response: Hey thanks. Seriously, nothing bad? That makes me feel good...
Aw!!! I love this!! I love your word choices :) Nice piece!!!
Author's Response: Thank you! Word choice was very important to me while writing this, so I\'m glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing!
"...She would kiss my tears and my scars, hold my hand when I panicked. Lily would make me get out of the house and go to the grocery with her for spaghetti and milk. James would rag the hell out of me until I got ‘normal’, and whack the side of my bony, pale arm until it bruised- but in a satisfying, best-friend sort of way. " I liked this paragraph. I've actually journaled something similar to this about my firends when I was having a rough time. This is un poco (a little) depressing, but written well!
Author's Response: thank you.
Aw, you totally should write Lily's response :) I would totally love that!! Please :)
Author's Response: I\'m thinking I probably won\'t...but I\'m so glad you liked it and thanks for reviewing!
Aw, cute peom :) Our English teacher made us write sonnets, so I know it's not easy. English (Shakspearean) sonnets generally take the rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF GG, not GHGH. What form did you take with this? Or is it your own? Curious :)
Author's Response: ... I really have no idea what you\'re talking about. *looks sheepish* I wasn\'t really thinking about form-- I just tries to keep the same pattern going throughout the whole thing. I haven\'t really paid attention to types of poems, so i guess it\'s my own invention. ;) Thanks for reviewing!
