Hey! My name is Chris. I'm sixteen years old, a Sophomore in High School once it starts, and I love to run. Harry Potter is probably my favorite book series ever, and I love writing fanfiction when I get the time. (Which unfortunately isn't very often and when I do it's in a notebook, not on here.)
I used to be more into humor fics, but I'm starting to read L/J more. I read Marauder Era fics a lot, too. I'm obsessed with the Marauders and Lily Evans. I loved the Phoenix movie, but I could still make a very long list of things I didn't like about it. I was crushed that they cut out Snape's Worst Memory, but then again, if they wouldn't have I would have been more dissappointed that Sirius and James weren't cute.
I love my friends. I can trust several of them with just about anything. I trust them more than it is probably a good idea to trust most people. They could blackmail me if they wanted to. Luckily, they don't. I really appreciate how comfortable some of my guy friends and I are. They'll lean over and whisper "she's hot!" without a second thought about it. I really appreciate it when their next comment is "but her skirt is too short." They resect me, and vise-versa. I know they'd respect me enough to tell me if MY shorts were a little too short.
As far as boks, other than HP, I love, love, LOVE the Left Behind and Left Behind serieses. They're the awesomest ever :) I'm always reading something, but that's my thing right now :)
My favorite Movie (debaitably) after the Phoenix and GoF would have to be the Pirates of the Carribean (The Black Pearl). The second one was great and I totally loved it, but the 1st was just better. Also, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom... They are amazing. Haha.
I love Contemporary Christian and Country music. Casting Crowns is with no doubt my favorite band in the history of the universe, and Jeremy Camp is a close second.
I've gotta live in the smallest town in Ohio, and our K-12 school is really little. This year I'm running track and cross country again. CC is the awesomest sport ever in the history of awesome sports. I love how close we all are on the team.
I play trumpet in the marching band and I'm in the Science Olympiad, which pretty much makes me the biggest geek ever, but I'm okay with that. At least most of my friends are on the teams.
Random fact about me- I spelled my name wrong on the morning of the spelling bee last year.
BOOKS & MOVIES
Did you cry when Sirius died? Almost. I had a huge bloody blister looking thing on my lip from chewing on it and it wouldn't go away for a couple weeks.
What about Dumbledore? I was devastated. Ditto the lip thing that nobody wanted to know.
Do you like the movies as much as the books? No, but I loved the GoF and Phoenix movies.
Hottest HP actor? Tom Felton and Robert Pattinson.
What scene did they leave out in the movie you wish they hadn't? I can never decide if I wanted them to cut Snape's Worst Memory or not becuase it's my favorite scene in book 5 and maybe even in the first 6 books, but I havent sen it yet (anxious for the DVD to come out!), so I can't make that call yet. **My DVD doesn't have special features... does anyone else's??
Favorite movie moment? Hermione just being annoying in the 1st one. Or Ron just being an idiot. That's always fun :) Then maybe after the 2nd task in the Gof. Hermione was really funny there, too :)
Least favorite movie moment? Whenever Dumbledore is there after the first 2 movies. It's not just a differant actor, they made him a hippie. Gag me. I mean, he has jingle bells in his beard, and you can hear them when he talks.
Favorite character in movie? Today it is Alan Rickman as Snape. (That might change tomorrow, I can never decide.) I'm a little nervous about him in the DH movie though. I just can't picture him in (spoiler!) his death scene ("Look at me") or sobbing in Dumbledore's office, devistated over Lily's death. I hope he'll suprise me and pull it off wonderfully. :)
Favorite Movie? Mmmmm... I'd have to say Phoenix. I loved it so much :)
Right now, I'm writing my 1st fic- "Hard to Find, Difficult to Leave, Impossible to Forget". I suprized myself by writing a romance fic (It's L/J). I never do stuff like that. I'm such a tomboy. :) It took me ages to finally be satisfied with the way my 1st chapter ended up, but I'm getting there. My life is incredibly hectic, but it's summer, so my schedule is slowed down a little. I'll try to type up the rest of it quicker than I have been :) Oh, and thank you to my wonderful beta, Emily. She's so awesome :) Thanks so much, Emmi :)
Well, that was practically a book right there :) I'll shut up for now :)
*trying not to cry* That was great! I loved it! But it was terribly sad... :( *sniffle* Loved it :)
That was SOOO funny!!! I SOOOO cannot wait for the sequel!!! 10!!!
Only one chapter left? :( Oh, how sad! Well, this is awesome!!!!! Sirius can be quite stupid, sometimes :)
Author's Response: I know it's sad. And, yes, Sirius can be stupid, but maybe it's just that he's trying to be cool. Who knows? Well, I guess I do, since I'm the author of this fiction, but I didn't really notice him acting stupid so I suppose I'll type up an intelligent, yet clouded answer. Hope that helps!
Wow! That was awesome!!! Update!!! Please? I love this! 10!
excerpt:
Even when you rumple your hair.
I hate that I’ve come to expect,
That life without you I can’t bear.
(Inspired by Kat's poem in 10 Things I Hate About You )
Oh, I LOVED that!!!!!!! I'm adding it to my favorites!! :)
My name IS Christine :) I like Chris much better, though, and have been trying to get people to call me that for ages. Anyway...
I'm shocked that you wrote a Tonks/Lupin fanfic 4 months before the HBP came out :)
I wold have never guessed that, because Lupin is 36 or 37, and even if Tonks waited 2 or 3 years after Hogwarts to start auror taining, she is at most 24. So there is anywhere from a 12 to 16 year age differance between them. I love math :)
Anyhow, this is cool, and I enjoyed it a lot. See you!
-Chris
Author's Response: Christine. Reminds me of Phantom of the Opera. Woo! I was equally shocked when I read HBP, and, well, stuff. Yeah. I started shipping R/T a little after OotP; I found the pairing, and at first I was like, "Er, ew," but that quickly turned to "OMG PERFECT." Wow, it took me ages to figure out how old Tonks was, lol, but no matter what I did, the age difference never got too much smaller. Still, hey, it's cute. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thankee for the review!
Sad! Sad, sad, sad, not cool! No, really, I loved that, and I love that song :) I thought we only listened to courtry music in Ohio and Kentucky and Tennessee :)
:) Oh, how cute!! I love it!! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so so so much!
*Lower lip trembles* That was really sad. *Sniffle* I loved that, it was great... adn really sad :( *Sniffle* But it was great, I loved it :) In a sad sort of way :(
Ron comes across Ginny's diary, four years after the war has ended.
EDIT: 1000 reads!Aaaaw! I absolutly LOVED it!! It was sad... But really sweet! Thanks so much for writing this.
...Sorry, but I'm not in love with this. I'm not a huge H/G person, though. No offense. I guess this is alright- it's not horrible.
Author's Response: hey, that\'s totally cool. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. if you have any pointers, just let me know, okay?
This really should be catagorised as dark, but I still enjoyed it. I hate to think about Ron dying. But I thankfully don't think he will.
Yay, I didn't cry. I feel horrible and bad after reading this, but, wow. That really was cool.
Author's Response: Yeah, I was debating: "Dark or H/G? Dark or H/G? Where should it go?!" But, as I tend to stick to the romance section, I went with the latter. The thought of Ron dying made me sort of shrivel up. And w00t, you didn't cry! Join the club. ;) And thanks for the review!
That was so cool! I depise Peter Pettegrew. Congrats on being Featured Fic!
Woah, it's like da-ja-vu. I think I've already read this before I signed up, I review everything I read :) anyhow, this is cute and funny, keep writing.
Author's Response: Yes sir! lol
"You can’t decide if you want it to work out or not, because if it does, you’ll be happy for them, but you’ll hate them, and if it doesn’t, you’ll be happy for yourself, but you’ll hate yourself. And, you know, it’s not like things won’t go back to normal, but they’ll never be the same" Yes, that DOES make sense. It's helping me sort out MY crazy life, at least :) I really love this story! Keep writing! I can't wait for the next chapter!!
Author's Response: Thanks. I'm so happy I could help!
*laughs* Sirius reminds me of myself, I HATE it whan I cry. I feel sappy and over-emotional. :)
"You, on the other hand, became friends with him about fifty-four hours ago!" Hee, hee, I thought I was the only math geek who calculated EXACTLY how long people have been friends, and/or going out :) I love this!
Finally! I hate it when people are mad at each-other!!!
But doesn't this make you think of Kentucky? Can you still marry your cousin there? I'm not sure, you used to be able to. I live in Ohio, so I'm not 100% sure.
Author's Response: Only if you aren't able to have kids. If you want more info about the states where you can marry your cousin go to this link: http://www.cousincouples.com/info/states.shtml
Author's Response: Actually, sorry, that was wrong, you can't marry your cousin at all in Kentucky. You can in California though, which is where I live... *shrugs*
This is great, Remus had to take the knife away from James for fear that he might hurt somebody... typical :)
