I am a senior citizen that somehow got addicted to a boy wizard and his enchanting world. I had NEVER written anything besides letters prior to this. I hope my feeble efforts amuse and entertain you.
I hadn't realized that you had updated here and not 'the other site'. I surely do miss the 'enlarge font' option here, but will gladly cross my eyes to finish this great story.
Well, of course, we would assume it was Hurtmore, not Goldspur, given the name. But of course, no good deed goes unpunished and they had to have gotten in trouble. That was pretty gutsy of Harry...good timing too.
It's got to be Roderick....Harp...groove...spider....? Yup, Please? That was a very intense chapter. All of it was wonderful. Nighty night...see ya tomorrow. Sure wish you had the 'enlarge font' here.
Thank you so much for that background information. Although you described everything well enough that it all made perfect sense, the additional 'facts' made it even more interesting. Wonderful story...great creativity!
Oh this is delightful! I am so enjoying it. Lime Green!!! The poor lads just can't help themselves. Snape is going through all kinds a psychological hell, so glad 'Dad' paid a visit.
Well, I just read the other reviews and they said everything I wanted to...probably better, actually. So this is a short one. I'm so glad Roderick was there too!
Oh, I could absolutely feel Snape's rage and disgust at being in the werewolf's debt. Obviously he can never admit it to himself. Remus was more wise than ever to acknowledge it. Great chapter!
Well, it only took me five tries to leave a review this time...so, I guess things are better. I have tried before, but have given up in total frustration! Well, to recap: I love your story! Incisive review, so far, huh? I am not so sure Tonks/Remus are necessarily Platonic. This was wonderful "I know I’m clumsy and a terror to innocent furniture and do daft things with my hair, and I know you said I scare you.” I really look forward to your updates, and look forward to when I can review when I read them. You are a wonderful author.
I am really enjoying your story. Great premise and excellent charaters and dialog. Do you realize how hard it is to fight the log-out problems to actually leave a review. I am curious why you haven't responded to any I've seen. I look forward to reading more, even if you are a recluse....just keep posting!
Author's Response: Nah, not a recluse, just terribly impatient! I do try and reply to reviews sometimes but more often than not I get repeatedly kicked out by the aforementioned log in troubles and I lose patience and give up trying! Today is the first time I've ever managed to log in on the first try! Glad you're enjoying the fic. :)
Well, I can see from other reviews that you have never gone back to add spaces between paragraphs and lines of dialogue. It really does make it hard to read, especially since this site doesn't have a 'larger font' option. It would be a kindness to do so. Just click on 'edit'. Otherwise it is a great story...if the spacing problem continues, I don't know how much more of it I can read though.
My apologies. I just had a really rotten day and decided to escape. I sat here and selfishly read your whole story without leaving a review until now. If fiction is written for us to escape, you have done a wonderful job of it. I really enjoyed the story. Your characters were canon, and I loved how Neville grew. Delightful, and thank you for the respite from real life.
That was a DELIGHTFUL chapter. Not fluff. I have loved the whole story so far and look forward to the rest. Love the interpersonal relationships you have built and the depth of the characters. Excellent job!
As others have said...I have read the 'Will' chapter in MANY fics but this was extremely well done...especially his last line! I would have reviewed earlier but this dang site keeps giving me the Avara Kadavra!
LOL! I know the feeling! I once wrote a seven chapter story that ended up twenty-four. I had to fight the site failings, but needed to leave another review. This is a wonderful story and so very well written. I am really enjoying it. Even though it was posted so long ago, I felt the need to tell you. Better late than never.
Ron's hour in the spotlight (pardon the pun) was brilliant! And the verses quoted to make Harry the protector were beautiful and thrilling. Excellent job!
Really wonderful story. I especially enjoyed the 'protector' idea. It explains so much of how DD knew what was going on in school. Thank you so much for the entertainment!
I must say that this is one of the best fics I have read. I really enjoy your writing style. Especially if this was a first effort, it must come naturally. Your descriptions are really great...you even do 'torture' well! I'm happily off to the sequel. Thanks for such a good read.
this is lovely...she ought to 'whup' him in more ways than one...and I do believe she is going to start in the next chapter!
Oh, my Gawd...I laughed til I cried "Their sweaty tummies made funny squelching sounds when they pulled apart, and all of their jiggly bits jiggled." Yup.. that is real...not this glamorous, homogenized idealized image that most writers depict. That was the FIRST real sex scene I have ever read and it was delightful! Gosh, I hope this isn't too much for a review...I'll edit a bit.
Author's Response: This is so very very good to hear, so thank you, Wiccan! A bit of reality was my goal.
I really should remember that this site doesn't tell you which chapter the review is for...so Ch 20...loved the research (Eleanor is a fav of mine) and references. Absolutely adore the relationship you are building and look forward to the revelations coming up. Tomorrow...it's late and I am crashing. Thanks for such a fun read!
