Harry Potter and the Year of the Dragon~~ Chapter 14 is up!! I will try my hardest to get the next chapter up before the end of the week. As per reviewer request, expect a little love!

Just a quick note on Year of the Dragon: I am looking at wrapping this story up in a few more chapters (five or so). Then I will be doing a third part that will fit in nicely between Year of the Dragon and Hogwarts: The Next Generation, making this a four part series. I hope you'll all stick with me!

Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor by Huskers
Rated: •Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, a blond Weasley. It's Harry's sixth year. Voldemort is back, yet strangely quiet. A second prophecy. This is my version of what happens next. The whole book is written, along with all of year seven. I will post as fast as I can get the chapters past the moderators.
Story is now complete. Look for the sequel, I will be posting the first chapter tonight 6-2-05, and it usually takes 4-5 days for the mods to approve it. The title of the sequel is, Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind.
Date: 06/02/05 Title: Chapter 2: Surprise Party
I liked this chapter better than the last. The Quidditch Game and the surprise party were great. I DO have one question....when you had Hermione Accio Harry and Ginny's wands, you said Ron caught them. In the next paragraph you had Ginny threatening the twins with her wand. At exactly what point did she get it back from Ron? You didn't say. Anyways, Fred and George are two of my favorite characters and I think you did a great job portraying them. I could totally see them running behind Harry and Ginny singing K-I-S-S-I-N-G, very funny. I loved the part with Ron faking not knowing answers just to get Hermione's help. I'll be glad for her to just decide one way or the other, I don't like her feeling that way about both of her best friends at once. Hope she picks Ron.

I have to say it was very upsetting to see Ginny hurt so terribly!! I hope she won't be so bad off for too long. Ron certainly has developed in your story. He's gone from a sometimes daft but lovable character to someone who is strong and courageous (he's definately my fave next to the Weasley twins. I'm glad to see you've put him in a positive light). I've read too many stories where people have either made Ron a complete dunce, or made him do terrible ooc things to further a relationship with Hermione and someone else (usually Harry or Draco). I believe that all in all you've stuck to canon throughout your story, and that's great!
Author's Response: Yes, Ginny really is hurt badly. I agree with you completely about Ron. So many fan fic authors turn him into a dunce. JKR has created a character who is brave, loyal and strong. I think, we are going to see a much more mature Ron in book 6 and 7 out of JKR. I didn't do anything with it, but the attack that he suffered from the brains and what happened to Hermione, I believe will have a big affect on him. I did my best to mature the characters yet stick in canon with them. I think, I may have gotten them to the maturity level I wanted a little to fast, but it is to late to change it now.

All I can say is........super! Your battle sequence was really intense, and you did a good job going from each person and describing how everyone did their part in the battle. I hope if I ever do a fic with a large scale battle scene that I can at least do half as good as you did.
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I had a lot of fun writing this scene. I can tell you the end battle of book 7 is bigger and I think better. Take your time when you write yours, it is not easy, but I have read your stuff, and you have the ability.

Very good chapter, I liked the addition of Dobby. I must say that I'm a little disappointed that Hermione hasn't made a choice yet. Hope it happens soon (and I hope she picks Ron; anything else just wouldn't seem right). I also hope that whenever she chooses, the one she doesn't choose isn't bitter. I would hate to see bad feelings come between the inseperable trio.
Author's Response: A choice already? You are in too much of a hurry. It is a long story, tension has to build more, and we just got our first indications of Harry liking Hermione. Bad feelings? It is the inseperable trio correct?

YAYYYY!!! I finally finished!!! And Ginny and Harry are getting married! (I'm doing a dance around my house). Such a great story. *stops dancing* That was the last chapter, wasn't it? Darn, now I'm going to have to wait for your sequel. Hope you have it up and running soon, you are a terrific writer!

BTW, I KNEW Harry had to be with Ginny. Sorry, just had to get that little bit in before resigning myself to the fact that you are done with this story. Okay, don't know how I did it, but I guess I hit the submit button one too many times when reviewing for chapter 2. AHHHHHH!!! And to respond to your response on my review for chapter one, I was just a bit confused by her conflicting emotions over Ron and Harry. Hadn't read that angle before, so it was a new concept for me. I didn't mean that it made my head spin in a bad way, just confused me (I'm told I get confused easily though!)
Author's Response: I see the confusion. You have to remember this is not JKR, and the feelings are really new for Hermione. We are just getting to see them for the first time. Also, it is total fabrication and departure from canon on my part. But think about it for a while. This is a girl who's two best friends are boys. I don't think there is any way in the real world that she would not have at least looked twice at Harry. I also think there is no way that Harry wouldn't have looked twice at Hermione. It would almost be unnatural for them not to.

Okay, even though they haven't spoken as much as Harry or Hermione's, I definately like Ron's voices the best. And how awesome for him to be able to do wandless magic. It seems as though you've done something special with all four of the main characters, very nice. Unfortunately, your chapters are so long that I will now have to take a break. I will try to review more of them before the day is over. I am enjoying your story.
Author's Response: Personally, I'm most fond of Hermione's second voice. I think it is easily the one with the most personality. Yes, I have given all four of these characters something special. I did warn you, the chapters are long.

I have to say I rather liked this chapter. You did a great job with the new prophecy, can't wait to see the rest of it. And of course I was happy to see Ron's voices back, noticed he even got a third one. You definately show a lot of creativity in your writing.
Author's Response: Glad you liked it. It is one of the most important chapters in both of the books that I have written. It sets the table for the fact that Harry is going to have help fighting Voldemort, wether he likes it or not.

Glad to see Hagrid join the ranks of Dumbledore's Army. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of your story plays out. I'm very curious about the two other people in the prophecy. I'd say I have an idea of who they are, but then you'd surprise me by making it someone else completely.
Author's Response: Well, you have a lot of reading to do to find out who both of the other two in the prophecy are. And no, I won't tell you.

Yes, I do have to agree with Czarina, I'm a true Ron/Hermione fan, but I'm just going to keep reading and see how it all turns out. BTW, you mentioned a lot in your chapter about Ginny turning someone's hair green. I think that would be great (if you didn't do it in this one, maybe the next). It really seems like something she would do!
Author's Response: Honestly, I'm a R/HR fan also. That doesn't mean I put them together in this story. As for Ginny turning someones hair green, yes, she does do that. Opps, I mean she would do it. Oh hell, the cats out of the bag and someone gets themselves a head of green hair in the next chapter.

Okay, I'm glad you put the green hair thing in after all :) Anyways, terrific descriptions of all the quidditch action! And it definately seems as though maybe Ginny is feeling something other than brotherly/sisterly love for Harry. I know, I know, I'll just have to keep reading!
Author's Response: Ask, and you shall recieve. Green hair delivered as promised. As for Ginny's love for Harry and his for her, I'm telling you brother/sister. At least that is what they keep telling me to write.

Of course, I absolutely love this chapter! Thank you so much for sticking with the Ron/Hermione relationship that even JKR herself has hinted at! I'd also like to say that it was a clever idea to include a spell in your story that people can use to make their own wands unresponsive to them, even temporarily. I have some reviews to respond to, but will be back before the evening is over to review more of your chapters. Your story just gets more interesting as it goes!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the R/HR ending to the love triangle. Honestly, it could go no other way. JKR has hinted at it too much for me not to do it. Now, as far as Harry's love interest, there are a number of possibilities from JKR. The top two candidates are Ginny and Luna. Glad you like the unresponsive wand spell. It is a lot of fun to play with new spells. It is not easy to come up with them, and you really have to be careful not to do to many, and to find some way of making the magic work. To tell you the truth, I'm glad you'll be slowing down on the reviews for the night. I can't keep up with my responses.

Okay, you can tell me whatever you want, and I do realize there are many options for who Harry will end up with, but I still say I see something going on, at least on Ginny's part. And what can I say? If I'm wrong, I'll spend an entire day walking around backwards! The potions class was a scream, anytime an author throws in hijinx with Malfoy it's funny! I also like that you had them put Snape's wand out of comission, I think it would have even put the real Snape in a tizzy.
Author's Response: Just not going to give up on Ginny are you? It is fun to see the little ferret get picked on once in a while. And the concept of taking out Snape's wand, well it just had to be done.

Okay, this'll be my last review for the night. I think that this chapter makes the voices thing and all they are capable of a little easier to understand. I'm glad that Ginny talked about it with Hermione, then Ron and Harry. Sounds like she was DEFINATELY not letting herself get enough rest. Just wanted to say that I'm enjoying this story the more it progresses, and when I finally get to the end, I'll be looking forward to your sequel.
Author's Response: What? your giving up, what kind of devoted fan goes to bed when there are still pages left to turn? Yes, you are getting to see what the voices make possible. It isn't so much that they make you powerful. The voices are seperate from that, but they allow you to do so much more with your power, and they accelerate your learning process. Yes, Ginny had pushed herself beyond what even the voices would allow, the question is, what was it that she found but would not work. Glad you are enjoying the story and I look foreward to hearing from you again soon.

OH NO!! This is the last review I can do for you!!! Excellent, excellent chapter! I thought making something that was the reverse of a howler was quite clever. And yay for Neville.....so much bad stuff happens to him, he deserves a little good stuff. I will be hoping for a quick update!! (BTW, chapter 11 of Caves of Concealment is up!)

The whole ball was awesome, as was the way you described everyone's attire. The chapter title had me confused though, I expected Charlie and Ellie to announce a wedding date :) Anyways, I'm glad it finally got validated and I'll look forward to your next excellent chapter!!!!
Author's Response: I'm soooo glad this finally went up! I must apologize because the chapter was named deliberately. I spent hours trying to think of a really good name for it and when i came up with engagement i nearly fell out my chair. I figured it was the perfect name to get people's brains buzzing!
