Very nice story so far. Well written, well chosen moments and you captured the characters just right. Can't wait for the next chapter :)

Author's Response: Well thank you! Characterization is very important to me, and I'm glad you like the moments I chose to write. I'll do my best not to make you wait too long for an update :)

Quite frankly this one of the best missing moments fan fiction I have ever read, if not the best. Great work!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing :) Wow. That means a lot so thank you so much :)

I will start by saying congratulations on writing this amazing missing moments fan fiction, it is truly the best one I have ever read. I have loved reading this story so much that I have a bit sad that it is over, but I have loved every part of it (including this ending).
I must say I am a horrible fan fiction reader because I never take the time to review (and when I say never I really mean never). This is however the third time, if i am not mistaken, that I have reviewed this particular story and I think that, to some extent, shows you how much I have loved reading your work.
I am not sure I can put into words everything I love about this story, but I will try. For starters most authors seem to find the first books, when Ron and Hermione's "strange" relationship is not so obvious, unimportant. I for one think it is fantastic that you included every book. Everything you have written could have easily been in the books. Your attention to detail is amazing and you have actually made me see some of the characters in a different light. Even though I didn't review it, chapter 15 Road to Redemption, was probably the chapter that impressed me the most because I, unlike most of the Harry Potter fans, have always had a very Hermionish opinion about Luna (I must confess that I have always wondered why she was sorted into Ravenclaw) and you showed me another side of her that really makes sense, and that makes her a better character.
You have clearly put a lot of work into writing this and I think the best way to say everything I want to say is thank you!

Oh one last think, are you only a Ron/Hermione shipper or can we expect more cannon based fan-fiction from you?

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing! And thank you so much for the kind words! Haha, don't feel too bad. I used to be the same, but you make up for it with great reviews so that's something. I guess the reason I started with them becoming friends is because that is what their story is - two best friends finding each other. Ah, I'm really happy about that! Luna is one of my favourite characters so I wanted to show her not as the weird one who says funny things, but as a smart and weird person who says funny things. So yeah, to have 'converted' someone makes me very proud. Anyway, thank you so much for the reviews and I am glad you enjoyed this :). R/Hr are my beloved OTP so I'd say about 75-80% of the stuff I write is based on them but I do write other canon based stuff.

If I keep reviewing your work you'll probably start to consider me some kind of stalker but I think this needs to be said: you understand each of J.K. Rowling's characters so well that everything you write just seems to fit in perfectly in the HP world. You understand the flaws and the nuances in every character and you use that, which I think is a gift, to produce these wonderful fanfics. I'm so glad I have had a chance to read them and I look forward to reading your future work :)

Author's Response: Haha, no, it's fine! Tis all very much appreciated. Thank you so much for saying all of that. I truly believe a character's flaws are just as important as their strengths and playing around with them is just as much fun. Haha, I dunno about gift - product of constant re-reading of the books maybe. Anyway, thank you so much for all of the reviews and hopefully my future fics won't disappoint!

Harry Potter books are the only ones that can make me laugh and cry. I will never forgive J.K. Rowling for killing Fred (I would have killed Percy but she's the genius so I really can't complain).
I really liked this fanfic and I normally don't read sad stories like this one. If you hadn't put in the giraffe part I would have started crying so thank you for that. It really made me laugh.
On a final note, I think the warnings are a bit exaggerated, especially the "substance abuse" one.

Author's Response: It was just all the more tragic with it being Fred. My money was in Molly personally and afterwards I really didn't know if I was happy that I was wrong or not. Haha, giraffes make everything better. Yeah, I'm always a bit worried about the warnings on here - does it count if it's only mentioned? - so I play it safer rather than sorry. Anyhoo, I'm glad you liked this :)

The Longest Start by HalfASlug

Summary: It's the longest start but the end's not too far away... It took Ron and Hermione years to finally get together but after just eighteen months everything is starting to crumble around them.

Hello, it'm me again. After Seven Simple Years I decided that I would read all of your fanfics, especially those that are about Ron and Hermione. This chapter is a bit too sweet for my taste but I'm guessing everything will go downhill from here. Can't wait to read the rest :)

Author's Response: Hello! Thanks for reading my other stuff! Yeah, this is a bit kind of extremely fluffy, but the rest of it goes downhill, I promise. Well, in happiness, hopefully not in any other way. So yeah, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest!

Hello again! I trust your judgement so I'm assuming that you are going to make this right. Maybe Ron was dreaming the whole time, I don't know, but you can't really break them up!! Also although Ron is the jealous type, I really don't see him actually accusing Hermione of cheating on him...

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! And thank you for trusting me! I know how much people (don't) love cheating!Hermione. Haha, yeah, Ron hit his head on the way there and everything is a hallucination brought on by concussion The next chapter should clear this up. It is a stretch for Ron to make that accusation, but this has been months of him thinking she prefers spending time with him. I don't think Ron believed it at all, but you know Weasleys and their tempers. Anyway, thank you again for reviewing!

You scared me for a second! But nice ending; can't wait for the next chapter :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! These two arguing can be very scary. Glad you liked the ending though and I hope you enjoy the next chapter :)

The Ron hitting his head on the way there and everything being a hallucination brought on by concussion version was a lot funnier (just kidding) but I really like this version too. For starters Ron (who is never right) is right and Patrick is an pompous delusional idiot who gets hexed (yey!). I really like how you worked around Hermione's thoughts :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! Nah, Concussed!Ron would have been funnier, tbf. One of the ideas that started this story was "What if Ron was right?" actually. And I'm happy that Patrick getting hexed went down well because he did deserve it. Thank you! I hope you like the rest of the story :)

Morning After by HalfASlug

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Seamus Finnigan always had the best birthday parties and Hermione remembered all of the ones that she had attended - until his twenty-first. Trio friendship fic.
Reviewer: tonks58 Signed
Date: 04/03/13 Title: Chapter 1: one-shot

I laughed so hard, I almost fell out of my chair! You should consider moving this to humor fics. And the ending! Neville passed out naked on the kitchen table? Hilarious. I really want to ask what happened but that will probably ruin the whole mysterious side of the story... Keep up the good work! :D

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! I was really on the fence as to where to put it to be honest. Yeah, it is definitely one of those where the possibility of it being anything is funnier than anything I could come up with so the mystery will stay. Thanks again for reading!

Floating Feathers to Foulweather Friends by HalfASlug

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: 31st October, 2001. Hermione, at the end of an average day at work, remembers a not-so-average day she had ten years ago that changed her life in every way. Trio friendship fic.

After Seven Simple Years I swore I would stop reviewing your stories because I was sure you would start thinking of me as a stalker but every time you write one of these amazing stories I just can't resist.
As always you capture the characters perfectly. That is what I love most about your stories. The characters almost seem real! You can tell they have flaws, you don't hide them away.
Hermione will always be insecure (I just loved the sentence "A woman with fashionable, yet professional, robes, a haircut she didn't completely hate and a life the buck-toothed, frizzy-haired, socially awkward girl she used to be was scared she would never have"), brainy and a bit uptight (I can imagine the look she gave Ron when he said something about them getting drunk), but she loves her two boys unconditionally and values their friendship above anything else. I have always related with Hermione's character because I am like her in a lot of ways, and I think your Hermione is perfect. In this story you show her more emotional side, but in Morning After, for instance, you show her "crazy" side which I strongly believe in.
And Ron is well, Ron... The part where he thought that he had forgotten their anniversary and then managed to get the date wrong was hilarious and very Ron! He can say the wrong thing most of the times but when it counts he's always there for Hermione (and Harry of course). That's another thing I love in your stories. The relationship between Ron and Hermione is perfect! Not fairytale perfect but you capture their dynamic of love-hate perfectly; they may fight but in the end they love each other and that's what matters. I also think the "not in front of Harry rule" is essential to keep their relationship from overpowering the whole trio's dynamics; it just makes sense.
Last but not least the Harry and Ron acting like 5 year-old's is not only believable but very funny. I really liked the names Ron calls Harry (The Prat Who Lived, Died and Came Back Again Just to Confuse Us All was my favorite) and I think they show a more mature Ron - he's not jealous of Harry like he was when he was younger.
I feel like I've been rambling for quite some time so I should probably stop... One last thing I swear, this was best ending ever!

"How did I end up with you two?" she sighed when they had finished.
"I think it was something about a feather," Harry replied, "Ron's people skills and Professor McGonagall not being sure of what the correct procedure is when dealing with three first years, a mountain troll and a destroyed girls' toilets."
Ron frowned down at Hermione. "I'm still not over you losing us those five house points, you know."
"Yeah," agreed Harry grumpily, "thanks, Hermione."
"Oh, grow up."

Well best ending so far because you tend to outdo yourself... Can't wait for the next story!!

Author's Response: Haha, don't worry about looking like stalker. Go nuts. Although I draw the line at camping out in my front garden. Anyway, thank you so much for the review! Seriously, I'm skipping inside. Anyway, yes, I love writing their flaws because that's what makes them them really. Same with Ron and Hermione. If they were the perfect fairytale couple they would be boring. And, y'know, there's more jokes if everyone says the wrong thing at the wrong time and acts like children. Haha, Hermione has a crazy side, no matter how much she would deny it. It's not until you really think about it that you realise how weird the circumstances of the beginning of their friendship was. And house points are a big deal, although she probably more than made them back. Thank you for saying so! I hope I don't disappoint :)

I've said this many times, but you have this amazing talent - you capture the characters personalities perfectly... JK Rowing would be proud to read your work.

P.S.: "I was... cleaning windows?" Best line ever!!
