Life's a joke...
If you can't tell by the fact that I started MNFF after all seven books were out, I have a serious obsession with Harry Potter. Although you could call it a Sirius obsession. I love anything marauder (well, as long as it's mostly canon), but I like the trio as well. Oh, and some of my least favorite words in the entire world are Peter and Pettigrew put together, or just Wormtail. Happy reading!
Hmmm... although I doubt that at this point anyone is waiting with bated breath to see what I write, I just finished a short chaptered fic about the Marauders and their lifelong experience with death, if that makes any sense. I'm having trouble getting anything validated at the moment, probably because I'm vain enough to think that I can edit my own work, but then again, that's all my fault. I might try to get a song-inspired fic about a certain Marauder with monthly issues up here soon.... but of course I'd never forger about Sirius! I also just did a one-shot about him and flight (think motorbike, not Quidditch) but that'll take a while to get up.
... but at least we're still laughing!
Well, you may not like it, but I sure do! Not only do yo embody the true spirits of all the marauders, you also had me cracking up from the giant squid incident until the end. Can't wait to see the last chapter!
Author's Response: Aw thanks. The last chapter is in the queue as I speak (well, type) so hopefully you'll see it soon *crosses fingers* Thank you for the review!
I have to say, I found this absolutely brilliant. I've always wondered (haven't we all) what possessed Sirius to tell Snape, and I think your version fits perfectly. Then, the way Sirius reacts to what has happened is amazing as well; his concern for Regulus, his bitterness, his absolute assurance in Snape's cowardice. Whether he's deluding himself or not, the writing shows it all.The beginning of the end.
I also loved James's reaction.
Um, right. reviews aren't just to rave, are they? suggestions... well, I love what you've done with this fic. Your characterization is amazing. Sorry this is so useless... I really don't have anything to fix. Maybe, on your quotes, don't use the same word twice in a row, as in asked or said? I think I saw that a couple of times... but I know it's hard. Anyways, with something that small, shows what I know. Good luck, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you like it, and I appreciate the advice:)
and it keeps getting better! :) they are all so perfectly characterized and understandable; remus's anger, sirius's guilt and caring, james's support for remus, peter being peter. and the last line... don't mention it. really. don't. lol ok i'm not making any sense, so i'll stop now. good job!
Okay, so I don't do reviews--and honestly can't remember the last time I even logged in--but obviously I'm giving you one right now. The point? This was actually hilarious, as well as touching and well written, even if you never intended it to be. And I don't ship this either, and haven't even seen it before. Very interesting!! And a great way to waste a couple of minutes--I'm walking away (virtually that is) thinking they weren't a waste. Self amusement can have very good results, yeah?
Author's Response: Oh! I seriously love your review. :) It's great to know that you enjoyed my joke that much. Yes, self-amusement does tend to give good results at times.
