Hello! I'm Alyssa. I joined this site just after I turned thirteen and I'm still here. Well, I'm here off and on.
Mugglenet is where I read my first fanfic, and it's where I tried submitting my first story. I met some of my best friends here.
This is just a great place.
I don't write very often, and when I do it's short. That'll never change, so never expect anything more than a one shot from me.

Love Conquers by dumbly_dorr
Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: If you're looking for the usual James-loves-Lily-but-Lily-hates-James storyline, then this isn't it. The thing is, Lily doesn't hate James at all, he can just be annoying at the best of times. As she comes to realise why she doesn't hate him, it leads to the famous love we all know about. Set against the backdrop of a warring magical world where nothing is certain, can James and Lily hold onto each other and fight?
UPDATE August 08: It's FINISHED! Thank you so much to all those who have read and reviewed this story, I have loved your support. i hope there are still people out there who are willing to read it. Keep an eye out for more stories by me! UPDATE February '08: I have changed the chapter names of some of the 'Defied' chapters, to make this fit and to make it more plausible, as I see the 'thrice defying' of Voldemort as happening when James and Lily are part of the Order of the Phoenix.
UPDATE 20th September: I have altered my facts in the chapter 'Once Defied' as I made mistakes in the ages of James and Lily. It didn't matter so much in this chapter but had annoying repercusions for future chapters. It should all now be correct.

I love this whole story so freaking much. The first time I read this I cried at the end. And now I read it a second time because I love it so much, I cried again. You did an amazing job on all of this, especally the end, and I love it.

I really love this story. It was very interesting.
In the begining of the story when she said that someone was outside, it remined me of one of the Alien vs. Preditor movies. Anyways. In the story, it was very interesting. It was never boring. I was very entertained.
I love the idea for this story. It has tons of things mixed into it, which makes it really good. The ending is amazing. That's probably the best part.

“No, that’s too obvious; it has to be more… I dunno… less obvious.”
That line there is probably my favorite line that I've read. It's so Sirius! It's also very funny. I really like how you start every section thing with them trying to find a way to get back at Crane. I really love how Remus stands up to Crane, too. I just really like this chapter.
Author's Response: I completely forgot about that line, but now that you mention it, it really is something Sirius would say. Yeah this chapter was very pro-revenge where Crane was concerned. Yep, Remus finally got up the nerve to stand up to him and it paid off for the moment. Thanks for reading!

Ohh, I feel bad for Flitwick. His sister shouldn't have died. That Ravenclaw is very stupid but funny. I liked the whole Whomping Willow part. I also like Sirius's idea for Crane. I wish they chose that one to do.
Author's Response: I know, I felt bad doing that to Flitwick, but it had to be done unfortunately. Yeah the Ravenclaw is pretty stupid, but I needed to put in that bit since Remus mentions it in POA. I think Sirius's idea is still the pulling Crane up by his knickers thing? He gets a new idea eventually. Thanks for reading!

I'm glad that they finally got back at Crane. It was a really good plan. I also like how you say Lily stops talking to James. It's nothing big, but it's still there.

I'm going to attempt to review every chapter, so here it goes. I really like how the story starts out in the different Marauders perspective. It was cool to see everybodys view on the matter. I like how they call Remus Mr. Sleepy.
Author's Response: That was something I really wanted to do - start the story off with them separate and have them come together at the end of the chapter. There's another chapter sort of like that with the different perspectives later on. Ha, I forgot they called Remus that. Thanks for reading!

I also like this chapter. It's not really cliched or however you say it and it was fun to read. I always like reading about when people got sorted. I also like Frank. Something about him is so happy and cheerful. Is this story through all of their years like a couple chapters per year? I know I could read and find out aventually, but I just thought I would ask anyway.
