Imaginary by Potter

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: COMPLETE!

Remus Lupin has always been different, ever since he was bitten by a werewolf and forced to live his life with the curse. He had no friends and never expected to have any until he started Hogwarts. But even once he entered school his wish didn't come true, until his third year. Remus would soon learn that with every good comes something equally bad.

Excerpt from Chapter Nineteen:

“What do you want, Lupin?” he asked exasperatedly.

“You hate me, don’t you?” Remus said in a friendly manner, as though he and Snape had been best friends since infancy.

“Gee, what tipped you off?” Snape retorted sarcastically.

“Then you would love to see me get hurt, wouldn’t you?”

“Well yes, I would enjoy that.”

“Especially if it was of my own doing?”

“That would make it even more amusing.”

“Then would you do me the favor of telling Larry Wilkins that I’d like to meet him out by the greenhouses at ten o’ clock tonight?”

I started this today and couldn't tear myself away from it. Very good writing and keeping people in character. Wilkins is quite a scary character...I'm curious to read more about him :)

Author's Response: Wow 10 chapters in one day, I can't do that when I read this. Then again, I can't do that with anything I write. I really loved writing this story so I'm glad you're enjoying it. Wilkins was so much fun to write. Thanks for reading!

Wow, great story, I've never thought of anything like it, and thank Merlin Wilkins was defeated in the end! I don't know if I would be able to stand it if he wasn't...Great job at keeping everyone in character, especially the Marauders. The plot is so original, I don't know how you came up with it! Great story, very fun reading.

Author's Response: This story actually came from a strange dream I had. It kind all of spiraled after that and this was the result of it. Oh Wilkins had to be defeated! He isn't allowed to survive :) Thanks for reading!

Ooo fantastic writer, your writing is amazing. I wish Peter could've been more loyal to his friends! You don't deserve them Peter!
Great writing, keep it up =)

Author's Response: Yeah but if Peter had been loyal to his friends we wouldn't have the HP series, would we? :) Thanks for reading!

Once again another great chapter :) Peter's making me nervous, I wish the Marauder's realized what was happening to him before it was too late.
I love the ending of this chapter, poor Remus, at least they all get a happy Christmas together :)

Author's Response: Peter's only going to get stranger in the next few chapters before it all ends. There's 4 chapters left to be posted and by chapter 94, Peter will really be making you nervous. Thaks for reading!

I just found this site about two weeks ago and so far your story is the best one I've read. I love your take on Lupin, I never thought of him like that until I read this and now he's become one of my favorite characters.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks! Lupin's my favorite character so he gets a lot of attention in this story, so I'm glad you like my interpretation of him. Thanks for reading!

Marauders to the End- Year One by armagod679

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: This is the story of the rat, the stag, the werewolf, and the dog. They met by fate and were bound by a secret. Hopes, fears, love, tears, great and small, Marauders all. Their years at Hogwarts will always live on in infamy, although so many people say different things. Here is the frivolous first year of the tale of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs.

I think my favorite part in this is the poem about Sirius and Remus, it really stood out to me and I just think it's so utterly perfect.

The nitpick I have is the last line of this chapter, "It was bleeding as much as Sirius had bled in his entire life." It seemed a bit...extravagant for something that wasn't really that bad. I'd imagine that Sirius had definitely done worse things to get worse punishments, so saying that was the most he'd ever bled seemed a bit odd.

Well done in making Sirius's mother give me the willies...she is definitely not someone I'd like for a mum, VERY eerie and cruel.

You may have noticed I'm sort of stalking your page...it's four o' clock in the morning, so as I struggle to keep my eyes open, congratulations on being my procrastination towards sleep. Also, you have a lot of good fics, so I am very glad I stumbled across them.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the story. That last line was written five or six years ago-- I was a kid. Now go to sleep.

More than Meets the Eye by lilybobily7

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: First problem: James Potter is Head Boy. Second problem: Why is he acting so different? The James Potter that Lily Evans knows is arrogant and conceited and loves Quidditch and bullying his “inferiors” with an unimaginable passion. This year he’s kind and charming and much more, shall we dare say it…mature. He is also much more distant than he has ever been in all her years at Hogwarts. In her seventh year, Lily finds out that there is much more to James Potter than meets the eye and together they set out on the long and precarious road to each other’s hearts.

I can't wait to see what will happen next, how far are you planning to write? Past Hogwarts?

Author's Response: thanks for reviewing! umm...i haven't decided yet how far i'm going to write. probably until the end of the school year at hogwarts (mainly because i've been working on this story for so long). but, i'm not sure yet. ~Julia~

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! Thanks! :)

'Till I Die by PineappleDaquiri

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Ron, Hermione, and Harry move into a Parisian flat the summer after their final year. Hermione deals with University, Ron struggles with the working world, and Harry learns about some news nobody expected. Mostly Ron's POV.

R/Hr & H/G.

Rated Professors for safety and later chapters.

*** I started this story before DH came out. For that reason it's AU. However, I've tried to make it as close to the details as possible, so you'll find there are canon details in this story. Thank you all so much for your amazing and encouraging reviews (and your PATIENCE with me!), I appreciate every single one :)

Wow, this really is quite wonderful characterization. Ron is one of the hardest characters to write well, but you capture him almost perfectly! Hermione and Harry are great, and the plot is good too. This really is quite fantastic, keep it up.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear I'm capturing him well, he is quite difficult. :)

From the Ground, Up. by Hermiones Kneazle

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

Careful with keeping Ron in character, you seem to be doing a good job but once in a while there are just little slip ups.

LOVE all your description. It's fantastic.

Between the Snoring and the Seemingly Imminent Death by A H

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Between the Snoring and the Seemingly Imminent Death is a short one-shot inspired by the passage in Deathly Hallows in which Harry awakes on the first morning in Grimmauld Place, noticing that perhaps Ron and Hermione's hands had been together during the night. This story--for I shall spare you the unnecessarily long title again--is about what happened during that night, when Ron and Hermione know that the next few months of their lives are not going to be easy, for the moments that are under the most pressure are undoubtedly the ones we most feel confessions are necessary.

Loved this story, one of the fanfics that actually really captures Ron, and didn't overdo Ron and Hermione's romance. Very cute, and a bit sad(in a sad it's in the middle of a war way, not in a sad lame way.) This is really well written.

Of Journals by Darkness Enshrouds

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: These are just a collection of one-shots I wrote out of boredom one day. Each story involves a journal, but that is the only thing they have in common. The stories are slightly random, don’t necessarily fit into any timeline, but I tried to stay true to the characters.

I hope you enjoy.

This was really brilliant. I loved it, fantastic description and dialogue, I'm moving onto Part 2 right now. I'm hoping it'll be just as good.

Author's Response: lol I hope so too! I must admit...out of all the stories I've written, this one isn't one my favorites. I still like it, don't get me wrong, but there's just something...I keep rereading it, hoping the perfect fix will jump out at me, but so far, no luck. Maybe it'll get edited down the road when I have an epiphany :P

Loved the Fred and George one, very funny, their dearest ambitions. And I liked the first one too, I see it mostly as Ron and Hermione, but also a bit as someone with Rose Weasley perhaps.

Author's Response: I had a hard time coming up with strange things for their ambitions. It IS Fred and George, so they're capable of anything, but it's hard to not go completely overboard. :P

Fred and George's Busy Day by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
WINNER of the BEST GENERAL story – Quicksilver Quills Awards 2010.
In the weeks and months after their eldest brother’s wedding Fred and George Weasley continued to run their business. Two decent honest and respectable businessmen, they had no involvement at all in any illicit conduct. They certainly didn’t get involved in any anti-Voldemort activities. Definitely not. No. Not them. Never. They wouldn’t. Honestly.

Love this so far, you write the characters well, Fred and George's humour isn't overdone or corny. I'm intrigued what will happen next, keep doing a great job!

Author's Response: Fred and George are fighting a war, they can't afford to overdo the humour. Next, the epilogue.
