I am a 17-year-old male. I absolutely LOVE J.K. Rowling's writing style and her amazing ability to create complex, believable characters and plots. I am very much influenced and inspired by her writings, and dream of becoming a great novelist, just like her.

There's a story here for most everybody with a bit of imagination. For fluffy, clean romance, read "Woes of a Midget Owl." For more G-rated fun, read "Buckbeak's Ferret Dinner" or "Voldemort: A Fable." "Under the Emerald Spell Light" is for those who appreciate tragedy. For teens and more mature audiences I have written "Heat" and other stories that don't appear on this site. Or, if you're very flexible, you may read them all!

Read my novel-length fic, "The Scarlett Letter", on ffnet and fictionalley.

Coming in January (I'm too busy to post until then): "Dumbledore, Please Explain Your Twisted Logic!" A comedy of dramatic proportions, literally. Stay posted, because I'll soon put up a plot summary and more info. I've already started writing it.

I try to write the most creative stories possible, though just as well-written to match it up. Tell me if I've succeeded or not!

Drowning in Defeat by LostMaeblleshire

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: "If you wanted to drown yourself," she commented casually, "you'd have had better luck staying out on the pitch." A missing moment, just after Gryffindor loses the Quidditch match in PoA, in which Katie Bell attempts to cheer up a forlorn Oliver Wood.

Heehee, you're on this site, too! I found you on accident while looking through the "Other Pairings" section, which is where quite a few of my fics are located. Just wanted to say hi. Very good story, by the way, as I said in my review at HPFF :)

Author's Response: ZOMG, Islander, you\'re here as well? I just decided to test Mugglenet out for size, and I\'ve been quickly discovering that there are a lot of HPFF authors (and ff.net ones) on here as well! It\'s good to see a familar name!

Oh, this was so very very sad!! Especially at the end! The last line and the last stanza were so, so touching! This is a very good poem. I found it because I had written some of my own poems and wanted to check out some others. Thank you for writing this; it's always been hard to find a truly good poet

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I\'m glad you liked the last line, I think it truly sums up so much of Cedric\'s life. It\'s always good to hear from a fellow poet, so thanks again!

Very, very great job with free verse. I often find free verse poems hard/boring to read, and not just in fanfiction but also in literature. But you did a very good job in holding my interest with this one. Very well crafted. I wrote my own free verse poem called "Voldemort: A Fable", and it's on this site. But I'm actually more of a sonnet writer (I did a more recent poem entitled "Sirius's Azkaban"). I know I'm being an absolutely sucker to ask you, but I'd be quite grateful if you read them :) Once again, I wanted to say I really liked this poem. It is very honest and to the point and is a wonderful portayal of Lily's emotions.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Poems can be boring or so coated in symoblism that it becomes work to read them. I\'m so glad that I captured your interest. I really tried to portray a more vulnerable side to Lily, but not lose the fact that she did at one time hate James and I\'m so glad that you got that! I\'m going to go read your poems right now. Thank you for reviewing! :)

Wow, this was a powerful poem! Lily had some very good points in this work free verse. Great job, I loved it!

Author's Response: Thank you! I originally wrote this poem about something else totally unrelated to Potter fic, but then I realized that if I modified it a bit I could make it work . . . so I did. I\'m so glad you liked it!

Hi! I haven't checked up on this story for a while, but here it is, and it's growing quite nicely! My favorite things so far are Alice's attempts and peacemaking and Lily's little conversation about Petunia and Vernon.

Oh, and I can't wait for Lily's nurse stuff to come into play! And what in the world is that plan that Alice and Madison have? Update soon, please!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! Ah, the plan. Well, it\'s grown into a much larger thing than I had first anticipated. The next chapter is already written and finishes that conversation I cut off. I really hope I don\'t deflate everyone\'s expectations . . . but I\'m the author. What I say . . . write . . . goes! Thanks for the review! I\'ll post the next chapter as soon as the queue opens up (the day after tomorrow). :)

Wow, this is a really great poem, especially the last line! You did a wonderful job conveying the feelings. And now you make me wonder who's telling this poem! I guess that's what imagination is for.

I would go and read "Tenacity of Love" right now, seeing as the other chapters seem to be working and getting reviews now. But I have to work on a research paper and call some peoples on the phone (to arrange something for piano and to get stuff for my research paper). So I promise to read it sometime soon. Oh, and review. That, of course, is a given. ;)

Author's Response: lol. Thank you! I intended it to be about Lily and James (if you read the summary it says as much), but you\'re right, it could apply to other couples as well. I didn\'t like this poem for a long time, but then I read it over and added the last verse, and the very last line, and now I really like it. I had to completely repost The Tenacity of Love (grrrrr) but now it is up and running, and people seem to like it so yay. Reviews are one of my greatest joy and I am so happy that you give me them, thank you! :)

Ooh, this is a really interesting little poem! What a wonderful way to describe exhaustion. But one must wonder. . . if the poem isn't about Lily/James, then who is it? Which person is so exhausted? Or should I come up with that on my own?:D

Author's Response: Thank you. The last line is my favourite one. What I meant was, it isn\'t specifically about Lily or James. Who you want it to be is entirely up to you! ;)

Great poem, especially the last line--I loved it! Interestingly enough, I also did a Sirius in Azkaban poem, a sonnet, that was coincidentally nominated for the Quicksilver Quill Awards (but it didn't get to be runner-up or winner like yours did). The thought of what Sirius must have went through in Azkaban is enough to make me cry.
