Finding Her Voice by Belledeg

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Harper Riley is one of the most gifted young witches of her generation. However, since the traumatic events of the Battle of Hogwarts, she has not spoken a single word. Her Muggle parents were killed, along with her two wizarding brothers, and she is on the run from her squib guardian, a sinful and harsh man with a strong hatred of magic.

Harry Potter is recently married and settled, however, his life seems to take on another dramatic turn when he and Ginny find Harper. Her refusal to speak makes things a lot harder for them to discover how to help her. Luckily, Harry knows someone who owes him a favour. Someone who he and Ginny may not like, but they trust. Someone whose profession is to help those who suffer from the Battle of Hogwarts, no matter their story…

If anyone can get her talking again, it’s Blaise.

"I don't want to forget that night...but I don't want to remember it either."

A Blaise Zabini/Original Character romance

This story has the characters: Blaise Zabini, Harper Riley, Jimmy Peakes, Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Weasley, Isabella Zabini, Draco Malfoy, Dennis Creevey, Leonard Wilkes, Theodore Nott and Minerva McGonagall plus many more.

‘Whatever happened to that white owl he was so wretchedly fond of?’ he muttered.

Haha. DH reference.

‘You’ve trusted people before, Harry,’ murmured Ginny.

Harry didn’t stop to consider which of the numerous examples of trust gone wrong she was referring to.

I can only think of one example of this. (The half blood prince book thing.) Are there more?

Awesome chapter.

Author's Response: Poor Hedwig. As for trust, I mean like Moody/Crouch. And he never turned Tom Riddle's diary in right away.

Moments by ahattab33

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

Have you ever thought about those moments that really defined your life? The ones that were pivotal, life-altering? They can be as obvious as your wedding day, as defining as the birth of your child...or as small as a moment in time, as subtle as a glance between one person and another.

The greatest moments of our lives can sometimes be the shortest and simplest of them all.

A missing moment from the Half-Blood Prince and part of the "Moments" series.

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Eden LaNuit is not like other students at Hogwarts. She is reminded of that fact each and every Wednesday. But will her differences keep her from friendship, reconnecting with long lost family, and her feelings for a boy named Neville?
Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed

She already looked too much like her mother.

Love that line.

Wow. Fun. I'm kinda depressed that the mom died, but this is really well written. I'm already excited to konw what happens next. I hope you update soon!

Daddy's Little Girl by Sagen

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: In every little girl’s life there is someone special –a role model. In Lily Evans’ it was her father.
Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed
Date: 07/24/09 Title: Chapter 1: Daddy's Little Girl

Wow, this is a really sweet and original story. I do have a couple of nitpicks, though:

Lily,’ her father cooed shaking her lightly.

There should be a comma after cooed.

He sat her down his eyes twinkling.

should be a comma after down.

"Here, Lily, this is yours it’s from Daddy."

This is a run on sentence.

‘Yes, Lily. It is today,’ her father told her looking down at her.

there should be a comma after her.

Your main trouble seems to be with forgetting commas.

This is really good. Great 1st story!

Peace Out.

Author's Response: Thanks for the help. I changed them. :)

The Sleeping Beauty Ward by MorganRay

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Once upon a time, there was a young witch who fell under an old and terrible curse. At least everyone thought it was a curse because the truth was, no one knew what caused the “Sleeping Beauty Sickness.” It was a rare and strange, but it was famous enough that the Muggles even told stories about how these bewitched girls would wake, but every wizard knew the truth: no one ever woke up. They laid in a coma, aging slowly, until they died. When the child of a famous pureblood family falls ill, she is entrusted to Saint Mungo’s hospital, and instead of a stone tower, is given her own Ward, which becomes a place of scandal and horror.

Duuuuuuuuude! Where was I when the second chapter of this was updated? Oh well. :-)

ANYwho....

Abigail drops her quill, and an ink line darts across the page like a swift, jagged wound.

That sounds cool.

although the bone chilling shrieks still seems to linger in the air like ghostly finger prints.

You rock at similes.

Like bullets, the droplets of water slam against the window pane of the room where Morticia Gregel rests.

:-)

Its mouth opens to reveal a mauling pit of darkness before it flings itself down on the helpless Healer.

AAAAAWWW! Poor Abigail! And where did that firey demon thingy come from?

Great chapter. :-)

Author's Response: "You rock at similies" is the best line I think I've ever gotten in a review. :)

Journey by inspirations

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

Birthdays... when you're a kid, you just can't wait for them. You reach a certain age, though, when you wish they'd go away for various reasons. Mostly, because it means you're getting old. Some families are too enthusiastic about birthdays, however, and you really can't get away from the fact you're a year older. Ever.

This is inspirations of Hufflepuff writing for the 'Life Begins at Forty' challenge. :) This placed second in 'Life Begins at 40'!

Aw, this is so sweet! This story is great insight into how George must have been feeling after his twin died. I think it's very cute (in a good way) and well written. But the part that takes the cake is Fred's epitaph. I LOVE IT!

Awesome Job. :-)

Author's Response: Aww, thanks for a lovely review, H_T!

Just Hugo by inspirations

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

‘Maybe Hufflepuff? Your loyalty is overpowering....’

‘No, I’m a Gryffindor. I have to be a Gryffindor!’

This is a story about Hugo Weasley. He's overshadowed by his vast family, but that doesn't stop him from being his own person. He's a Gryffindor just like the rest, but he doesn't understand the how or why. This is a story about Hugo Weasley, and how he discovered that he was a true Gryffindor.

Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed
Date: 08/21/09 Title: Chapter 1: Just Hugo

Aww! I love this!

Minor nitpicks:

I thought I heard a sneer as I left. Stupid Malfoy

Isn't a sneer a facial expression? And that sentence should have some end punctuation.

Anywho, This story is really well written, and I love the premise. I don't see a whole lot of Hugo-centric stories. Lots of Rose and Albuses, though. :-)

H_T

Author's Response: Thanks! And yes, a sneer can be a facial expression, but it can be used to represent a sound as well, I think. Hm, Rose and Albus are popular next-gen characters. In fact, of all the Trio's children, Hugo is probably the one least written in FF. Huh. I hadn't realised. >.> Thanks for the review again! xx

Grant Me the Serenity by Apollonious

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

The Life and Lies of Rita Skeeter (As Uncovered by Hermione Granger) by thechocolatefrog

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: I, Hermione Granger, have decided to uncover the past of Rita Skeeter. How did she become the notorious gossip columnist that she is today? What motivates her to twist the truth into outlandish scandals? Who is the real Rita Skeeter?
Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed
Date: 08/13/09 Title: Chapter 1: Prologue - A Forward from Hermione Granger

SWEETNESS! This is such a cool idea!!! I love how you have Hermione turning the tables on Rita. Muahahahahaha! Ha!

Awwsome prologue, waiting for more.

One minor nitpick:

During my fourth year, I targeted due to this friendship.

Should be a "was" between I and Targeted.

Hope you update soon! Awesome job!

Summary: Dean Thomas knows he has to leave his family, and the warmth of home... but can he face saying goodbye to them?
Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed
Date: 08/16/09 Title: Chapter 1: Dean

Awesome job. I like the premise of this story, Dean's characterizatin, and the characterization of his family. I also like how you leave a sort or air of mystery at the end, because the reader has no idea where Dean ends up, or what will happen to him until the part mentioned in DH. good job. :-)

Author's Response: Thanks for reading! (:

The Marauder's Map - A Beginning by Karaley Dargen

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: On a lazy Saturday afternoon in their fifth year, two of the Marauders are staying inside talking – while the other two are outside and get an idea. Why not make a map of Hogwarts? It would certainly make their nightly wanderings easier, and who knows what could be done with a piece of parchment...

This is Karaley Dargen of Gryffindor writing for the final in the MWPP class on the beta boards.
Reviewer: Hermiones_Therapist Signed

I like this story.

I love how you delve more into Remus's character, and that Peter (gasp!) is the one that comes up with the idea. I think this is well characterized, well written, and if you ever wrote a WIP about this, I'll read it. :-)

Nice One.

H_T.

Author's Response: Oh I feel so bad that I'm only replying to this review now... Thank you so much for it – especially as you were really quick :D

I'm really glad that you liked Remus and Peter, and that Peter didn't seem too over the top. Thanks again!
