The Noble And Most Ancient House Of Longbottom by KarasAunty

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Frank and Alice Longbottom display the honour and nobility that made them so popular in the Wizarding World and moved a stunned society to lash out in anger after the vicious attack which incapacitated them. Warning: Rated for profanity and violence (not sex). UK English.

Whoa.
I'm speechless.
This was great. I've been looking for a fanfic that described this, I don't know why though.
You did amazing, you are a great writter. You portrayed Alice's and Frank's courage so beautifully. I was crying nearly at the end.
I loved it.
Good job.

-Ronnie.

Author's Response:

Hello IckleRonnieX,

Oh, I am really glad you liked it. It's the darkest fic I've ever written and I was a bit hesitant to tackle it (because of the depressing subject matter). HP characters don't really seem to talk much about Frank's and Alice's ordeal. And no wonder, I suppose. What they experienced is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

Still, it seems a pity that they're only depicted in the books as Neville's tragic parents - figures to pity - when they used to be held in such high regard by the Wizarding world. Perhaps they still are, but their triumphs now seem to have been over-shadowed by the fate that befell them, and now they're more famous for being Crucio-ed into insanity than the fact that they fought and defied the most feared Dark Lord (ever) three times (and survived every encounter). They were one of the most successful Auror teams of their generation, and I wanted to show how they may have earned that reputation.

And why Neville and his Gran are so proud of them.

Thanks very much for R & R-ing this fic. I was beginning to think nobody liked it and wondered where I might have stuffed up, but you've restored my faith in it!

The Resilient by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary: Sequel to "An Aversion to Change."

It's Voldemort's world now: a world of corruption, betrayal, greed, and violence. A world of evil thoughts and evil deeds, where no one can be trusted, especially those closest to you.

But through it all, there must be strength. There must exist those who will stand up to totalitarian rule, who will say no when others submit, who must survive despite their condition. There must exist the resilient.

Eventual Draco/Hermione with plenty of plot. Very dark, so read at your own risk!

I am so glad you updated! This chapter was great, as usual. I kind of knew Draco was going to be there! :p

update soon, please!

Author's Response: Haha, yeah, it was time for him to make an appearance. :) Thanks for the review!

Sixteen Going On Seventeen by KarasAunty

Author's Response:

Hello Ronnie,

holy Creamola foam - a SECOND review for the same fic? I am not worthy!!

But I love you for it nonetheless!

I'm thrilled to bits you enjoyed it as much a second time around - that's exactly what I like to hear :o)

Oh gods, this was great. I laughed, you are very talented! Your poetry is great!

Ronnie

Author's Response:

Hello Ronnie,

Thanks!

I love the Sound of Music. It has so many great songs just begging for a tweak or two... Their merry tunes make some of the darkest moments of HP seem hysterically funny (to me anyway - but then, I am a bit of a nutter).

Thanks for the kind words & for R & R-ing. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it!

I promised a review. And here it is.

Annalise... I didn't like this, you know? I LOVED IT. You are such a talented writer, seriously. The wording you used in this one-shot was beautiful it made me want to cry and I am not even joking. I also love the line "It is all beautiful to you, everything". It is such a pretty line and, like Julia said, it added a rhythm to the fic. Amazing.

Like I told you before (or I think I did), I was a little confused at first of what and who this was about, but I slowly began to understand when you mentioned the heat and the atmosphere but it finally hit me like a ton of bricks that it was about Hermione and that she was in Australia because of the kangaroos >.<

I still can't get over it. The words you chose are gorgeous. Wow. Wow. Wow.

I absolutely adored this, Annalise :) Now, I shall get going. I love you and I loved this. :D

Author's Response: Thank you to no end, Ronnie, seriously. Your review made me smile from ear to ear! I am incredibly happy you loved it so much! And thanks a milllion for the amazing review!!!! *tacklesquishes* ~ Annalise x :)

Dust in the Wind by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

Dominique Weasley took a summer job at Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes with the hope to stake her first claim of independence. All she really wanted was to be able to pay for her Yule Ball gown on her own, but one fateful day, someone strolled into the shop and turned her world upside down.

Scorpius Malfoy was sweet, confident, and completely gorgeous, but Dominique knew that he was off-limits as her cousin’s ex-boyfriend. The more she tried to push him away, though, the more she questioned her resolve to do the right thing.

This is ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor of Ravenclaw House, and this is my submission for the Fiction Junction ‘I Challenge Thee’ prompt

Jess, wow. This was amazing. I loved this. I've never read Dominique/Scorpius but this was so good!

Yeah. I just wanted to say that :p

Ronnie

Author's Response:

Wow, thank you so much!

Truthfully, I just wrote this one in about four hours for the Fiction Junction 'I Challenge Thee,' but the response for this has been amazing. I guess it's because Rose/Scorpius and Lily/Scorpius are all fairly common, but Dominique is a seldom explored character. I wasn't even sure if this story would crack 100 reads and two reviews, but I'm tickled to say that, due to popular demand, I've written a parallel piece for the Great Hall Challenge, which will further explore this story both before, during and after. The marvelous Apurva has it now. :)

Anyway, thanks for leaving a review, and I am so glad that you liked the story. Take care and happy writing!

Jess

But Given Unsought by MagEd

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The seven women who loved Harry Potter.
Reviewer: IckleRonnieX Signed
Date: 04/05/10 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Uhm. Wow. I cried during Molly's part, so hard, and didn't stop until I finished Lily's. Harry's "I have a family" statement was so beautiful (it even brought tears to my eyes as I wrote it) and so powerful... I really did love this.

Lily's part was so amazing! And LiLu's was wonderful. I couldn't stop crying because it made Harry's statement become stronger, even.

The whole thing was simply great. I loved the concept (which was what caught my eye) but the way you wrote it was most wonderful... You never fail to blow me away with your stories. You're so effin talented!

Keep up with the amazing job, because I am seriously looking forward to something else from you!

Ronnie

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have to confess -- I got so into it while writing, I even teared up a little myself! I'm glad you liked it :)

Oohh, Paige! I'm sooo glad to see the sequel of this, finally! Though I vagely remember what the other one was about :/ I read it a long time ago. Curse my horrible memory!

Anyway, I really am glad. I'll be following this closely. It sounds amazing!

Hope you update soon,
Ronnie

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for being glad to see the sequel. It's been five months since the last chapter of Our Little Secret posted. You could always reread when you get the chance, ;) , or listen to it. The mermuggle Faerie Dust just read the first chapter for the 130th episode of audiofictions. Her Scorpius doesn't sound like the one in my head (naturally, heh) but her Rose is very well done. :)
