The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Author's Response: I think the main reason why Dramione fics are so popular is because of their witty bickering :) Not to mention the whole 'opposites attract' theory XD Lol I don't know one person who actually likes Jessie...of course I like her for the fact that she creates all this drama and basically brings Draco and Hermione closer through this whole process, but yeah...She's a character we all love to hate hahahaha...! :DDDDDDDD FINALLY! I've been waiting forever for this chapter, which was completely awesome as always. :D I thought you portrayed Harry very nicely. It showed his reasons for leaving Hermione behind, and I think that is what he would do if something like this had occurred. Couldn't help but notice how you said that if someone "favorited" you (lol, a new word! XD) they would get an e-mail when you updated. I've had this story on my favorite list since you published it, yet I still don't get any e-mails. :( Any ideas why?
Author's Response: Huh, that's totally weird. I have no idea why that's happening. Maybe make sure that your e-mail isn't blocking them? Sometimes I get school e-mails forwarded straight to my spam folder...::shrugs:: Could be that. Hope you get it figured out, though!

FINALLY! FINALLYFINALLYFINALLY! Hermione is finally back with Draco! I mean, yeah, she's still a servant or whatnot, but I'm hoping her situation will improve somewhat. This story is so dark and gloomy, I'm looking forward to a happy ending right now. XD I have to say, the whole idea that Hermione and others are being treated so terribly is starting to get to me. I hope those were your intentions, to leave the reader disgusted with how Voldemort's supporters are treating everyone. GAH! I have no idea where you are heading with this, but please, continue updating as soon as possible! Chapter 12 please!
