I have to thank my best friend for turning me on to Harry Potter. My favorite character is Remus Lupin, so if I ever get around to posting fanfiction, it will probably be about him and his friends.

Where to begin? I have been following this story for about 9 months now and just finally became a member of mugglenet--now I can tell you that this is my favorite story! I love the way it's written, full of things both funny and sad.
You make me really feel what the characters are feeling and thinking. I get really wrapped up in the story. You did well with Peter, I felt sorry for him but he is weak and I'll hate when he turns traitor. I love your Lily, and James has just the perfect amount of cheerfulness, luck, and goodness (and a bit of arrogance of course). And Sirius...is Sirius! Nothing more to say! Most of all though, I loved the way you wrote Remus. He's my favorite character to read about. With him especially I felt every bit of pain, humor, and happiness. Keep it up! You Want To Make a Memory is the winner of the QSQ awards in my book!

Author's Response: Wow thanks! That's something that's really important to me when I read - feeling what the characters are - so I try to put that in my writing. Ooh Peter... you do want to feel sorry for him, but trust me, in time you'll just hate him completely. I'm never sure how I write Lily and James so it's great to hear that you like them! Ha, Sirius is just Sirius and that's good enough. Remus is my favorite so he does get a lot of attention. Aww, thanks! Glad you like it!

Veils by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It is the night before Petunia Evans' wedding. As she stares at herself in the mirror, she is satisfied with her appearance. The dress is perfect, cleverly cut to give her curves, and she looks like a dream. Yes, the dress is perfection ... but what of the veil?

She has promised Vernon and his formidable mother that she will wear the Dursley veil. It is an antique. A family heirloom.

It is hideous.

What she needs is a miracle to rid her of the ugly thing ... or perhaps a touch of magic.

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry in the Weddings Challenge - prompt Big Weddings - in the Great Hall Challenge over at the MNFF beta boards.

Thank you to Samarie (Hopeful_Song) and Kara (Karaley Dargen) for beta'ing this.

Disclaimer: I'm not JK Rowling. I doubt anyone is surprised by that.

Holy Moroley and all things Padfoot! This won the QSQ for Best Marauder Era story. Thank you!

Great story! I like the way you portrayed Petunia, Lily, and James. And Sirius, *lol* He probably had a blast with that little trick. I wonder how things would be different if Petunia was a witch too...

Author's Response: I imagine she wouldn't have been jealous of Lily, but would probably have been a right show -off. I imagine her to be like Percy at his worst ... and not a Gryffindor. Thanks for the review. ~Carole~
