I've been sorted in Ravenclaw, and my fellow members of the House of Blue and Bronze have been exceptionally welcoming so far. I'm also certified by PI as a beta reader.

I finally found inspiration to write something of my own, and posted here at MNFF, as well as over at SIYE (under the same name).

Besides reading fanfiction (which I've recently gotten back into), I enjoy playing my trumpet and working with drum and bugle corps. I'm currently a music teacher, recently graduated from university.
...And that's about as much detail as I feel comfortable putting on the internet for just anyone to read. If you want to know more about me, just ask. I'm always glad to make a new friend.

Lastly, thanks to everyone here for putting up such wonderful stories to read! I really hope that you'll check out my story ("What's Your Favorite Color?") and let me know what you think.

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

Perhaps you've guessed, based on my recent reviews, but I've been rereading your stories in chronological order. I do hope this one picks up again. I'm not sure if I recognized it the first time I read this, but the last year times, I noticed a rather large clue early on, and I'm anxious to see if I'm right. Your writing is engaging and the world you've created is well thought out and comprehensive. Your Auror cases make think they could make a good procedural show from that premise.

Out of the Blue by Secret Marauder 90

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This story weaves the tale of James and Lily from the day they met right up to their final days at Hogwarts. The issues, the resolution, her realization, and the decision.

I realize this is rather old, but I don't feel like eleven-year-olds would be quite this brazen about their attraction to the opposite sex.

Now and Forever by Northumbrian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The centenary of the Battle of Hogwarts is less than a year away, and the Wizarding world continues to move forward. Modernisation requires change, and some things must be swept aside in the name of progress. Buildings can be demolished and statues, even statues of deceased heroes like Harry Potter, can be relocated. Can’t they?

And just like that, I've finished all your stories. They're a fun read, and this story (long the rear) makes great use of the comprehensive world you've helped to create. I'm not sure I'd want to read anything (chronologically) past this. The interviews were close to perfect, in terms of capturing the characterization of each person.
Although it would not be hard to believe Susan would get married, divorced, then remarried, her inconsistent last names have been a source of confusion for me. But that is a (very) small - and largely unimportant - detail.

M.I.T.: Entente Cordiale by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: A strange and seemingly inexplicable death in London's West End brings an unlikely collection of individuals together. Can Aurors Creevey and Cresswell, and Detective Chief Inspector Wood make any sense of the crime?

I loved it. The storyline was great, but the ending felt a little rushed. But I really like the idea of Bobbie finally getting a replacement.

Looking for Lily by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It is 1980, and a lot of people are looking for Lily Potter. Who will find her first?

I don't know why it took me so long to find this particular tale, but I liked it. I've never thought before about what Severus might have done to protect Lily, after giving Riddle the prophecy.

The Moon and the Sea by FloreatCastellum

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: On a cold autumn night, a dark-haired young man wakes his family to take them on an adventure.

A really nice story. With just a tinge of sadness at the end, knowing (as we do) what's about to happen next.

Author's Response: Thank you!

The Pretty Witch by Elisabeth McNight

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Elisabeth McNight is a young, ambitious, pure-blooded witch. When she receives her first Hogwarts letter, she's thrilled to be following in her parents' footsteps, particularly her dad who was a Ravenclaw. This is her adventures throughout her first year.

I'm intrigued, if nothing else. This could be fun, and I want to see where it goes.

A Ship to Wreck by FloreatCastellum

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: And good God, under starry skies we are lost
And into the breach we got tossed
And the water's coming in fast!

And oh my love remind me, what was it that I said?
I can't help but pull the earth around me, to make my bed
And oh my love remind me, what was it that I did?
Did I drink too much?
Am I losing touch?
Did I build this ship to wreck?

This was wonderfully written. I loved it.

The Aurors by FloreatCastellum

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: The last thing Harry Potter wants is to be lumped with a trainee, especially not one that idolises him. As he guides her through the realities of being an overworked Auror and tentatively settles into adult life with Ginny, a dark plot brews on the horizon...

I had a bad feeling about Dennis, but I couldn't put my finger on why. Which is, I think, exactly what one hopes to feel in hindsight of a revelation like this one. Well done.

Author's Response: Thank you!

An appropriate (and, I assume, portentous) ending thought. Can't wait to see severe this goes.

Author's Response: Thank you! :)
