Savage Relations by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Teddy Lupin has a great life. He is newly married to the love of his life, Victoire Weasley, with a baby on the way. He has a large and devoted - if unorthodox - family who he loves and who loves him. And most important, he has never known the fear and uncertainty of war.

But that all changes in the blink of an eye when he stumbles upon a piece of information that nobody was meant to find. Kidnapped and lost, Teddy will experience first hand what his godfather gave everything over two decades before to keep him from, and he will have to find trust in himself and in those most would label his enemies, as from the outside, the ones he loves race against time and prejudice to face a threat that was long ago foretold.

First reveiw! :D
Ooooh. Interesting. I don't think I've ever seen a veiw of the Wizarding World quite like this. I liked the little thing about him being sort of in love with Hermione. It was, I think, an interesting twist, and made me wonder if he was going to fall in love with Hermione again and leave Mandy. Fun to read.

I did find it a bit odd that Rob would be thinking about Hermione still after so many years, however. But I really like the story!
Megan :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing so quickly! I'm glad you liked his perspective, I had always wondered what it would be like to be a Muggle and someone from your class to just disappear. I had Rob still thinking about Hermione because she was mysterious. That's why I made it clear that it was over the time that he didn't see her that he became more interested in her. I wanted it to be that he sort of thinks of her occasionally, because his mind likes order and he wants everything to be logical. I hope that makes sense, but I understand that you thought it was a bit odd too. Thanks for reviewing!

Eeeelllizzzzaaaabbbeeettthhh!!!! I love your poem. :D My favorite lines are probably

"He sat there, day after day, with only his thoughts for company.
Thoughts and memories...
Of people.
Places.
Times."
It's just so crisp and to the point. The whole poem is. Very impactful.
:D Megan

Author's Response: Thank you for my first review ever!!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. The first line that you mentioned: "He sat there, day after day, with only his thoughts for company." was the line that I thought of that got me started on this poem!

Awesome. I love the part abot the rain, especially the last line-- "It should have been raining." It just gives the whole prologue an ominousous feeling it wouldn't have otherwise.

Author's Response: Thanks Megan! That was the mood I was aiming for, so I'm glad that's what you took away from it. :)

The Aliens by Midnight Storm

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The Second Wizarding War is at its peak. What does it look like to an observant seven-year-old Muggle boy?
Aliens are invading, I know they are. Aliens that use sticks to hurt and kill people.

Wahhhhhh! Poor little kid. I wonder... He can see witches and wizards. Does that mean he's a wizard? My only concrit is that I wonder if he's able to make tea and read the paper yet. But otherwise, great story! It's a very good snapshot of what life is like for Muggles under Voldemort's reign. I think you could take this and make a good chaptered fic with the boy a little bit older and this scene perhaps a flashback. (That is, if you think Voldy won in this story. I'm not sure what the plot would be if you keep Harry triumphant.)

Author's Response: I see what you mean about the reading and tea, but he's a really observant kid. Glad you enjoyed it! ~Midnight Storm

Waaaahhhhhh!!!!
Poor George. Poor Fred. You did a great job on this-- just the right amount of heart-rending emotion. I think you got everyone's reactions down really well. I nearly cried, and I never do that.

Author's Response: :D Thank you so much! I feel honoured that I nearly made you cry.

Unspeakable by C_A_Campbell, Northumbrian

Summary: Unspeakable, Michael Corner, is researching time, events, and probabilities. While testing his newly-invented RANDOM system, he stumbles upon an unspeakable possibility. Former supporters of Voldemort, all acquitted for their crimes, are dying of so-called natural causes. Intrigued by the possibility that these events might be connected, Michael investigates farther. But what he discovers will test him and raise questions that all his probabilities cannot answer for him.

What is justice? And what is unspeakable cruelty?
