I am a Navy Mom and still have a teenage daugher still in high school. When my kids were younger they told me repeatedly that I had to read the HP books. I resisted till I took them to see the first movie. I've been a fan since that day! I've read and re-read the books and can't wait for the next one!
Thanks for taking the time to read my stories! I hope you enjoy them!
April showers bring May...hassles? Bridesmaid blues and big trouble from small favours complicate Tonks' life when all she wants is to bring her love for Remus into full bloom.
This is great! I love the movie Ten Things I Hate About You, and I have to tell you that I have been filling in the rest of that limerick you started... Drunken Tonks is awesome! When are you going to have a drunken Remus?
Author's Response: If you ever finish the limerick, email me, LOL! Drunken Remus will come out and play next fic, when he makes the mistake of keeping Sirius company on a binge night. :D
How witty! This was very funny!
Author's Response: Thank you
Sequel to More than a Feeling
*Chapter 10 is 'A Wedding and a Funeral'*
You know, it shows a real talent to be able to write a character that the reader truly loathes.... an you certainly hit that mark with Bellatrix!
As always... loved this chapter... now... on with the next!
Author's Response: Bellatrix and that baby-voice taunting of hers makes a non-violent type like me want to go Buffy and kick the crap out of her in Muggle duelling! LOL Thank you for the compliment. :)
My affinity to the journal compels me to keep it at hand. I, too, am rather shabby, and yet there are pages of my life still unwritten.... Remus reflects on his life and love for Tonks in a companion fic to Moonlight and Shadow that parallels chapter nine onward.
I think this is going to be perfectly scrummy!
Author's Response: Elspeth! You\'re on MNFF! Does this mean you\'ve finished your epilogue to A Sirius Dilemma and just submitted it? If not, you\'re the second one I\'ll hit up to get writing!
Albus Dumbledore is a man of many secrets. One of them is his secret identity as an advice columnist, the Wise Wizard. When he coerces Snape to fill in, readers discover the Sagacious Sorcerer answering their queries would be better named Snarky Severus!
This story is Adorable! I love the names you came up with... and have to wonder where you ever thought up "Dotty Debbie"! I do love the idea that Snape would be Snarky enough to send fake Hogwarts letters to poor unsuspecting American Girls... I wonder what would happen if one of them sent her picture and he fell in love at first sight! LOL
Author's Response: Don\'t tell, but I have this crazy reader pal...lol.
I know what would be happening if I ever read he fell in love at first sight with an American girl....I\'d be reading a bloody Mary Sue story, and it had better be a parody or I\'d scream! :D
Ginny looks forward to her birthday the way other kids count down to Christmas. This year, when she blows out the candles, will her birthday wish come true?
Ah, my friend, this was like a sweet summer breeze that brings fond memories to mind! I'm feeling the need to go back and read "A Tale of Two Matchmakers'! If you remember, that was the fic you were writing when we started emailing back and forth!
Author's Response: Ah yes, I remember it well..... *imagines the music from Gigi* :D I have to say, everyone who read the original post was fab for overlooking the new writer errors, and you\'ve been fab ever since! I love you man! Woman. Amiga!
How totally sweet! Sirius needed a bit of cheering up that didn't come from a bottle! I loved the window shopping and him telling Cami that Buckbeak would be jealous of a broomstick!
Author's Response: Aw, you reviewed on two sites! If I didn\'t already heart you for being a wonderful person, I\'d heart you for that. :)
You've captured the spirit of a woman deeply in love with her man, but still independent enough to stand on her own. Eris being willing to give up her life to follow Snape but not willing to follow the Dark Lord is an excellent way to capture the essence of the relationship you have created between the two. Excellent story!
Author's Response: You\'re the kind of person it\'s a joy to write for--sensitive, smart, and thoughtful, taking the time not only to read, but to encourage in a review. Thank you so much! ♥♥♥
If you're lost, you can look, and you will find me.... After Tonks finds a Time-Turner in a 'suitcase of memories,' a stumble leads to a trip back to 1976. When she goes to Hogwarts to ask Dumbledore for help, she finds Remus.
I really like this story and the whole concept of it! Tonks loving Remus no matter what and wanting to see him and be with him despite his age or the fact that he didn't know her was, as always, an exceptionally good read!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you for that wonderful review! She does love him for all that he is....whenever he is, too! :D
I have to admit I've wondered what it was about Ted Tonks that would make a pure-blood fall for him... guess now I know!
Author's Response: He\'s sexy, he enjoy\'s life, he\'s sexy....I\'m sure Andromeda could fill a slam book with the reasons, lol.
When Snape catches her in a compromising position and revokes Hogsmeade privileges, Tonks sees red. She plans payback and discovers that while revenge is supposedly a dish best served cold, it tastes even better hot.
*Not the usual 'Don't Stand so Close to Me' variety romance.*
I always love the way you portray Tonks, and even though I KNOW she belongs with Remus, this story was great! I do like the way you have Snape willing to relax and be romantic in private... very Slytherin of you!
Author's Response: Yay, you read this story too! Remus and Tonks are my OTP, but these stories rose from the thought of what if, instead of Evan, it was Snape who was her first love?
Severus wasn't a white knight content to be ennobled by the purity of his affection. He felt more like a black knight, greedy to possess his lady fair. Although he was willing to terrorise peasants and burn villages to complete his quest, could he slay the dragon of pride to make a romantic gesture?
Wow, as much as I believe that Tonks belongs with Remus. . . this story is excellent! You write with an amazing depth of detail... it's almost bewitching!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! Did you read the first story? I hope you found it equally bewitching! :)
Valentine's Day, 1996. Grimmauld Place is far from Tahiti, but with a Polynesian dancer costume, some sand, and a tropical dinner for two, Cami finds it's easier to create a romantic atmosphere than fit what she loves about Sirius onto a Valentine card.
This makes me wish I had a wizard boyfriend that could make a tropical beach in the middle of winter so I could dress up and dance for him!
I wonder what my husband would think if he knew that? LOL
Author's Response: He\'d probably say \"Isn\'t working magic for you in the bedroom enough, witch?\" :D And then you could say one of our favorite lines from The Princess Bride. \"I\'m not a witch, I\'m your wife!\" LOL
Thanks for reviewing on two sites. I\'m doubly honored!
Loss is a suitcase fastened with string tightly knotted.... Remus prepares to leave Grimmauld Place.
Short, sweet, and to the point...
I Liked It!
Author's Response: Thank you kindly, ma\'am! ^_^
Precious to me, cute as can be.... Tonks was supposed to be with Teddy at her mother's. Why couldn't she stand waiting? What caused her to look 'anguished'? Not a deathfic, just a possible explanation of why Tonks 'sped off' to find Remus.
Anyone who doesn't understand a mother doing whatever's necessary to protect her child probably doesn't have children of their own.
I'd like to think that, in the wonderful universe of R/T you have created, that Tonks might just be slightly influenced by "The Wolf" she shares with Remus during the full moon.
Think about it... anyone ever try to threaten a wolf's pups?
I think you've done an excellent job!
Author's Response: Thank you!
I can understand why she would rush into danger to fight for her husband and son, but my personal belief is that Tonks would have protected Teddy best beside his cot, not on the battlefield. Would a mother wolf catch the scent of a strange, potentially dangerous wolf and run out of the cave and across a field to confront the potential threat, or would she stand guard at the mouth of the cave, ready to rip the jugular out of whatever tried to attack?
No one stole from Scorpius Malfoy unless he allowed it.
*A Scorpius/Rose Halloween story*
Great Halloween Treat! Scorpius seems very sweet under a tough exterior... I bet you have great plans for this particular pair!
I think Edgar is abso-bloody-lutely adorable!
Author's Response: I heart you for liking Edgar! Cronies are a sickle a dozen, but a friend is priceless (especially when he's a cunning Slytherin, lol).
Hugo doesn't remember the last time Aunt Muriel came to stay, but Rose does...
LOL How CUTE!!!
Author's Response: Hugo probably won't find it so, but experience is the best teacher. :D
Mousey brown to vividest pink, Nymphadora Tonks is known for colour. Her wedding and honeymoon are no exception.
You certainly know how to paint a picture with words!
Author's Response:
Thank you for saying that! I wanted you to "see" images, like photographs in a wedding album....except the sexy bits, lol.
Lovely tribute to a fantastic actor! I'm glad I decided to take a walk down memory lane and found that you are still writing!!!
Author's Response: Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I decided to check reviews (they don't send email alerts anymore)! Seeing your name made my day! I hope you and your family are happy and well. Thank you so much for taking the trip down memory lane and visiting the site! :)
