Hell's Bells by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

It was the worst news a father could receive: his son was marrying his worst enemy's daughter.

But for Draco Malfoy, being in the role of the reasonable parent was in itself a debacle as he tried to make the best of a bad situation. But when circumstances forced him to spend more time than he ever cared to with the most irritating Mudblood on the planet, he constantly questioned his sanity, as well as that of his son.

However, Draco might have come to realise that things change, as well as people. Is Hermione Granger Weasley the mad bint he remembered, or were they both a little different this time around?

Just found your story- fantastic! Ok, Astoria's "bitch torch" made me laugh out loud!! And ohhhhhh shit, Ron just walked in!!! Can't wait for the next chapter! : )

Author's Response:

Character angst for the amusement of audiences holds a special place in my heart, especially for Draco. Glad you like it. Update will come soon-ish.

The Mark of the Death Eater by Thestral Wings

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy was born a pureblood. He was raised in a prestigious wizarding family wholly devoted to Lord Voldemort, and he was taught to revere the Dark Lord alone. At 16, Draco offers himself to the service of the Dark Lord. This is the story of the young Death Eater.

How I LOVE fics that get inside my favorite character's head-my fic is similar, but it's Draco resisting the Mark. Your work is brilliantly descriptive and I love how it patches up the missing parts of the story we know. You had better add another chapter! :)

Author's Response: You have no idea how much your review meant to me when I read it. A closet fanfic writer, I had to leave the room, shut the door behind me, and jump up and down where no one would see me and wonder what had gotten into me. The funny thing is that I recognized your name as soon as I saw it as I've been following Eyes Wide Open since Chapter one first posted. I remember thinking, "Wow! This is so different from my version of Draco's story!" But I was nonetheless intrigued and continue to be. And, yes, I will post another chapter. Since no one knows I do this, it's been difficult to write over the summer with my kids constantly looking over my shoulder. They head back to school next week, and the first thing I want to do is sit and write. I have five or six more chapters already written ... they just aren't chapter 3. Please let me know what you think as The Mark of the Death Eater unfolds. And thank you, thank you, thank you!

Peace Be With You by rachelll176

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: After a painful final parting, Hermione is scarred by Draco's duty to fight with Lord Voldemort. Years later, in a place of resolution, can the two find the strength to wish the other peace and offer forgiveness?
Reviewer: Melina Malfoy Signed

Ohhh, what a beautiful one-shot! I grew up Catholic, so mixing in the Sign of Peace and Matthew's Gospel was particularly endearing to me.
You have a lovely way of constructing your sentences; your words paint vivid pictures.

Hope you'll write another story soon! :)

Author's Response: Thank you, I really appreciate that! I did too and I remember sitting in church one Sunday listening to all of the readings and thinking they could inspire a lot of forgiveness, and then after I left I transferred all of that into this topic! I'm working on a chaptered fic as well but have yet to get it accepted...I'm workin' on it.

The Abduction of Persephone by lucilla_pauie

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Anniversaries always trigger memories. When Hermione, Harry and Ron were captured and brought to Malfoy Manor, Draco refused to name them. As the Battle commenced, he never attempted to harm them. This is why. He was functioning under an idea that refused to quit, an idea that had recently been reinforced, the idea that he could admire - even adore - a certain Mudblood.

Written for the Tenth Anniversary of the Draco/Hermione ship.

Oh, delicious! I'm reading both stories simultaneously- pieces of the puzzle appearing in delightfully agonizing slowness (actually, not slow at all, since you update frequently- thank you for that!!). Interesting how differently you write each story- this one is much more cryptic, much less straightforward than C & T. Can't wait for more! :)

Author's Response: Thank you, dear Stefanie!

Masks by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Key events of "The Resilient" seen through the eyes of Draco Malfoy. One-shot, spoilers abound. Again: do NOT read if you haven't read "The Resilient" yet. You have been warned. :)
Reviewer: Melina Malfoy Signed
Date: 06/03/11 Title: Chapter 1: Masks

Loved Aversion. Loved Resilient. Now equally love Masks! So nice to see those few moments in the story from Draco's p.o.v. His character was such a contradiction in thoughts and behaviors that getting in his head a bit was really cathartic. Write more stories, you brilliant person, you!!! :)

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I definitely enjoyed writing it! Thanks so much for reading!!

I'm really loving your story! It's nice to see Draco a little less suave; he's quite endearing this way! Your view of him 5 years post-war is very believable, and I can't wait to see what happens between him and Astoria! Great job!! :D

Author's Response: Hello Melina!

I am glad you like the story so far. Hope you'll enjoy the rest. :)

Summary: Hermione always wondered why she had stayed with him. Why, after everything he had done, she didn't run away.

Ooooh, did Draco slip her the love potion? And why would he do it, if it was him? Hmmmmm...

I'm really interested to see where you're going to take this story- my only advice would be to take your time with the plot; no need to rush through any action, enjoy it, let it simmer in our brains!

Good job- looking forward to the next chapter!! :)

Author's Response: Thank you for the review!! I do actually have a lot of this story plotted out, but I'm taking my time and making sure the plot isn't cliched, flows, and makes sense. -- Sara

OMG!! Ron was pissed!! I can understand that, and it's so like him not to let her get a word in edgewise when he's upset. Poor Hermione. I'm so glad she has Ginny and Harry! Charlie is missing- oh no! More please, and soon! Great great job! :)

Take Me In by rachelll176

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Lucius Malfoy was killed in the Final Battle, with his one wish firmly carried out. He made sure that his son Draco, would be loyal to and see the rise of the Dark Lord. The problem? Harry defeated Voldemort.

Having been locked inside his own head for a year, Draco Malfoy participated in a fictionalized battle. When he comes out of it, he's in St. Mungo's. He's learned about his condition...but it's a lot to wrap his head around.

Draco's told that he is part of a program titled Healer-To-Home. He will go live in a witch or wizard's household for as many months as the experiment will allow. He doesn't know with whom he's going to be matched with, and he's not sure he wants to...

Hermione Granger, from the good of her heart, agrees to participate in the cooperative experiment. Healer-To-Home will ensure that someone benefits from the program. Hermione knows that the patient's healing will happen better if they are surrounded in memories, but she doen't quite know how that should work. She also hasn't received the patient's name after months of learning the details of his specific 'injuries'.

Something is developing between patient and home-Healer. Is it just hormones of adolescents on the brink of adult-hood, or is it true love?

Very interesting so far! I hope your chappies get validated- I know it can be difficult. I can't wait to read more!! :)

Author's Response: Thanks, I've been trying for a year to get this validated! We'll see what happens next.

Yay- another chapter! This is such an interesting concept; I can't wait to see where you're going to take this story! And I love me some Draco!! :)

Author's Response: I <3 Draco&Hermione. The inclusion of the epilogue in DH2 depressed me, I was saying out oud, "Not happening. Not real. It's not real. They must be having an affair." There is no Hermione and Ron ;)

This was an awesome chapter! Glad Hermione came to the party, loved the description of Malfoy Manor (toddler Draco's broom heehee), big ol' kiss at midnight. Ahhhh. But what, pray tell, did he talk about with Goyle? Hmmm....

Author's Response: The plot grows thicker! You'll find out eventually, around chapter 30. Thanks for the review, Jenny

It was so sweet when Draco held his beautiful son- and then you hit me in the chest with a Bludger. I'm still recovering. Wow, sweetie. Very dark fic, but enthralling.

Author's Response: Thank you; it is very dark at times with a heaviness throughout. But I'm glad you can still enjoy it.
