I love reading your work, Alice! Terrific one-shot, my dear. I think it was a great idea to give the reader the knowledge that Draco and Hermione loved each other, but none of the details. You leave them for your readers. Draco's point of view felt very real to me. The background to their story could potentially be Jar of Hearts but, like you said, we could leave it to the readers imagination. I'm glad you felt Draco's POV was realistic - I tried to show him as conflicted whilst maintaining the familiar Malfoyisms (such as hating Ron). Alice! I just found this story! My stars, girl, I love the way you write. I know that all of us Draco-lovers out there enjoy writing him as dark and complicated but with a good heart buried somewhere inside. However, I think that we all know there's a distinct possibility that he's the shallow dickhead you just portrayed him to be. I feel as pathetic as Pansy, because I love him either way. Ohmigosh, girl! My chest was tight the entire chapter!! The tete-a-tetes between Draco and Hermione are deliciously tense, and at the same time, heartbreaking. I felt so badly for Draco as he heard of his role as a Death Eater and the one charged with Dumbledore's death- how horrifying it must be to learn of the kind of person he was.
