Name?: Delaney

Age?: 18

Which House are you in?: Ravenclaw. I belong there, but I have Slytherin tendencies. *cough*

Which HP book was your favorite book?: DH. It was different, but still managed to finish the story brilliantly. It delved more into everyone’s characters, and Harry was at his best.

Are you active on the MNFF forums? Yes. I’m a member of SPEW. On hiatus at the moment. I barely have time to check my e-mail anymore...

Have you written for any other site?: Yes. I write for FIA (Fire and Ice Archives; dracoandginny.com) with this penname.

Talk about your stories and series a bit please?

Draco/Ginny chaptered stories:
1. 7 Years
Status: WIP
I would love to continue writing this. I’ve planned and partly written the next few chapters, so we’ll see what happens.
2. A Shadow of Trust
Status: On Hiatus
I really liked this story when I was writing it, and I wish I could keep going with it. I don’t know, though. It’s been a while since I’ve been inspired for this one.
3. Why Do I Love You?
Status: On Permanent Hiatus
Originally, I wrote about ten chapters of this story. If I can get around to editing them, I’ll keep posting to it, because there were people who liked it.

Draco/Ginny one-shots:
1. Suddenly Love
Status: Complete
I have to admit that this story was rushed and incomplete until Periwinkle (Anna) left me a SPEW review for it and Jenna boosted my confidence about it. They helped this story very much, and now I’m actually fond of it.
2. Conceit & Contempt
Status: Complete
I was kind of playing with the notion that Draco and Ginny have a traditional love-hate relationship, like Darcy and Lizzy in Pride and Prejudice. I was honestly just experimenting, so don’t take it too seriously.

I have written a lot more stories that would fit in this category, but they’re not up here. Mostly lj-ed, some just for friends.

James/Lily:
1. Apology of a Completed Soul
Status: Completed one-shot
This is one of my favourite stories of mine. I would describe it as ‘touching,’ but that’s for you to decide.

Others
1. Reformation
Status: Complete, one-shot
I like this one, if only for the coincidence that I seem to have managed to get into Draco’s head before I actually knew him.
2. A Little Fall of Rain
Status: Complete, one-shot
And here I’m in Ginny’s head. Odd. Anyway, this is nice because it’s from someone else’s PoV, and yet features Ginny in a rather vulnerable position, so she’s sharing.
3. Sinful Reunion
Status: Complete, one-shot
This story does have its merits. It uses thevault (Jenna)’s Siobhan, and takes place in Sins-verse, immediately post-chapter 12. It’s an interesting take on Siobhan’s position, I think.
4. Illuminating Indecision
Status: Complete, one-shot
This was for a SPEW swap, and features Blaise’s choice during the war.
5. Regret
Status: Complete, poem
What I like about this poem is (besides the water) that it doesn’t really have to be Ginny, it could be anyone in her position, regretting anything. I heart sestinas.

Any stories coming up? Yes, actually. Over the summer I got really involved in a story that's a kind of exploration of Slytherin cunning, told from the PoV of Blaise Zabini. I really just need the inspiration to post it.

How can anyone contact you? My email address is up there. Contact me that way. Or PM me on the forums. Same username. Email address once again is horsegirllane [at] sbcglobal [dot] net

Oh, and reviews? Excellent stuff. But be serious. Happy reading!

Wait.. so can we or can we not tell when Bellatrix is smiling? It describes the movements of her mouth, but she is wearing a mask.

“Why did you tell your master” — he laid careful emphasis on the words — “I was the greatest threat to his power? You know it’s a lie!” This was an amazing twist! Voldemort got it from Bella, all along.

Whew, that was a near escape! Can't wait to read the rest!

Jocelyn’s pace quickened. There was still time to keep that particular promise. Poor Jocelyn! You've really accentuated her dilemma well. She's feeling guily about ever letting Sirius go.

Its sad that Sirius keeps getting angry with Jocelyn to try and protect her. That's a brilliant way to portray Sirius, though! It makes the reader feel even sadder for Jocelyn. Sirius can't seem to get past his worry to understand that Jocelyn isn't going to let him run away on his own.

Then, as they argue, Jocelyn questions that Sirius actually cares for her while Sirius, probably, is asking the same question. The way you stay open to everyone's POV is very interesting.

He saw everything in that look: her hurt, her confusion, her pain… but mostly, her rejection. This sentence is so sad! I just have one little picky suggestion. It makes it sound like it's Jocelyn that's doing the rejecting, is all...

What a powerful chapter! Sirius and Jocelyn just seem to keep going in circles with their relationship. It makes it even sadder that we know how it ends! Great job, and I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thanks! About the sentence where you say \"It makes it sound like it\'s Jocelyn that\'s doing the rejecting\": that\'s intentional, because Jocelyn is doing the rejecting. Thanks again!

Poor, dear Sirius! I feel terrible for him. And he has to lose Jocelyn again. It's so sad. This was an excellent chapter! I loved that Jocelyn and Sirius finally got to talk things through! Even though the ending was sad. Excellent writing, and one more chapter!

Sirius watched her go, feeling that the great pain in his chest had lessened slightly. Dear Lily. I'm going to miss everyone! And Hogwarts. This chapter is so poignantly written, it makes the READER miss Hogwarts!

“Isn’t she beautiful?” James breathed.

Sirius was gazing at Jocelyn nestled under Hector’s arm.

“Yes,” he whispered. “Yes, she is.”

Did you MEAN to make us cry? *sighs from the unrequietedness*

Wow, so you knew this was the first fanfiction I read... EVER. Back in chapter eight or something! Isn't that wild? Thank you! For all of it!

It was the perfect solution to James's effort to convince Sirius that Lily walked in right then. I love her... you've written her very well. I also like it when Jocelyn thinks about how she feels about Lily's change. yay...

another amazing chapter...all those characters at the funeral!!! they are really well written and researched! awesome job...when oh when are lily and james going to come around?

It's sad that James has to endure worry about Sirius. Can't wait to read more!

I can barely hope to contest with some of the reviews you've been getting... honestly, it's hard to ramble about the little perfections of a story for that long. Anyway... I like how you added Lily's sadness and frustration to the end there. It makes her character more rounded. I think that Jocelyn needs to be more receptive, just like Sirius does. If only they could exchange their thoughts! Great job!

She cares what Sirius thinks! *jumps up and down* That means he just needs to tell her what he feels! I, once again, jealously admire your character development.

Sirius, you’re purple,” she added, catching sight of his face. “That can’t be healthy.” That was a bright tint to a dark moment! Finally, Jocelyn and Sirius have Their Moment! I don't want to know what would have happened to Professor Flitwick's classroom if it hadn't been for dear Joce!

How dreadful! Poor Sirius and Jocelyn... goodness, I loved how complicated you made their relationship, though. It was brilliantly well-written how they dealt with it too, and this might sound weird, but it was very IC for Jocelyn as well.

Wow, that review before mine is really, really long. Anyways... I really loved the string of memories in the middle, it was a perfect way to show Jocelyn's love. "He looked extremely careworn. Sirius’s recommencement of his weekend escapades to London had James worried." Careworn and recommencement are brilliant words...

I just realized that neither Sirius nor Bella are going to die, and Bella is going to, really, end up winning, and it was a really depressing thought. Oh, and Jocelyn is going to.. go away.. somehow, too. Wow, I think I'll just go cry now...

So you change it to other pairing NOW? The kiss! finally!!!! I'm so excited! I just discovered this chapter. Sorry I haven't been here before, I can't believe I forgot to check! Great job by the way, as usual.

I love the new chapter! But now Jocelyn's lonely and alone! This is kind of R/Hr, isn't it? I just now thought of that... but Ron isn't hot. I love the I-can't-stand-losing-my-best-friend-poor-Sirius debate. It's so sad!

Voldemort is just delusional. But you did an excellent job of capturing what he would think!

I personally thought this chappie worked just fine. There wasn't much substance, but it was a brilliant break from angst. I'm also curious to see what comes next, though.

This was the first fic i read. EVER. now look...all grown up and soon to be writing stories of my own! *sniff* anyways...LOVE your story, always have...ive been reading way too much LE/JP lately and i keep mixing up OCs, but Jocelyn is hard to forget. I love how you've developed her character. Bellatrix and Narcissa make the perfect antagonists; they are just so evil. and I dont mind if the next few chapters are dark/angsty....it makes it more real. Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Aww, I'm so happy for you! :)... Thank you very, very much!

Well, I'm trying to review again.. let's see how successful I am this time! Before, all I was saying was that it was late but completely worth it to review. So let's see what I remember.

He did not seem heavy-hearted or empty, as most people were after a loss. Instead, he appeared burdened. I definitely commented on Siobhan's perception and intuitiveness. This proves her intelligence and wit, of course!

“The first time the six of us were all together since the murders was on the train… that’s why…” The second set of ... works, but the first one would be better used as a period or "train, and thats" or something along those lines.

I know I had a lot more to say when I was originally reading it, but oh, well. I love that Siobhan and Harry have Draco in common! It's a wonderful way to form their bond.

You wanted me to call it intrigue, right? This is intrigue.

Good gracious, I was not expecting this. Can I just say that I have never in my life seen a chapter title so fitting?

Right, that out of the way, I really enjoyed this chapter, because it was a slice of Siobhan's real life, the one she doesn't have to share with anyone. Though she generally seems resigned to having to marry a stranger, it seems as though she's optimistic about finding her own sense of self - maybe because she gets to see Liam?

Oh, that reminds me: Liam took Siobhan horse-riding
No, there isn't anything particularly fascinating about that phrase except for my jealousy. Can Liam take me horse-riding? Oh, and he's my age at this point, which I didn't realise.

Right, moving on. Yes, Siobhan's inner conflict. You wrote it so smoothly, evident in everything she does, in her thoughts and, most particularly, her quick temper. She gets defensive with Liam and excessively upset with Lucius at the end simply because she can't reconcile her heart and her mind. It's sad, isn't it?

And Draco! It seems to me that Lucius simply wants Siobhan closer, but it also seems very Slytherin of him to essentially go behind Siobhan's back to get his way. I hope that he can explain himself, and that Siobhan won't let the sound of her fast-pounding heart drown out his apology, or explanation, or whatever it is.

Wow. Thank you, Jenna, for this brilliant chapter. I am actually excited about the proposal!
