This story was written...three years ago? But I just read it recently and finally decided I wanted to leave my opinion, despite how long its been. This, and I will be quite honest, was the first Mugglenet fanfiction I actually read. All the way through. I stumbled across it one night, and the next morning I looked it back up and started reading. I read all day until I finished it, and I absolutely loved it. It's very well written, the characters are real and lovable, and the whole story almost seems like an extension of the original books. I had to remind myself after finishing that the whole thing wasn't actually canon. In short, its a wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed, and which made me want to read more.

Well. I probably wouldn't be leaving a review, but the reminder at the end, as well as the fact that I've been reading my laptop screen obsessively for the past few hours, made me want to leave one. I loved reading the Lands Below and the Thorn Circle.

Alexandra, although she has almost driven me crazy in a way that makes me want to grab her by the shoulders and shake her, is a wonderful character, and I really feel for, and generally understand her. I love almost all the characters, really. Even Dean Grimm, although I have to admit she scares me more than she scares Alex.

I think I had a minor heart attack about every other chapter, but to me that just makes a story even more enjoyable.

It's all very well-written and engaging. I just want to read even more Alexandra Quick.

Author's Response: Thanks very much! I hope you enjoy book three, Alexandra Quick and the Deathly Regiment. Book four, Alexandra Quick and the Stars Above, is being edited and betaed now!

Wow. That's pretty much all I have to say. The Deathly Regiment is just as engaging and heart-attack inducing (for me) as the first two. The characters have only evolved more and more, which is wonderful as characters are usually my favorite thing in any story. The ones here do not disappoint. The plot was nearly impossible to guess, I changed my predictions almost every chapter. I loved reading the Deathly Regiment, and I'm eager to dive into the next one when it's ready.
