My name is Bean, and I've been writing fic for a long time, now. Harry Potter has always been my first and strongest love, and I love everything about this universe and its characters. I am here for life- no getting rid of this cat.

Expect a lot of variance here! I write a lot of things, from poetry to smut, angst to fluffy romance, and lots of different pairings! Been away from the site for a while and am going to attempt to get back into the groove of it, so we'll see how it goes!

Thanks for being here :)

This is so beautiful. Goodness, you've written something simple but very powerful and beyond lovely. I love this.

Author's Response: Thank you. :-)
This was an experiment, I simply wanted to see what I could do if I imposed a one hundred word limit on myself. I'm glad you like it.

Hell and High Water by Misdemeanor1331

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Life’s choices are unfair, difficult, and occasionally impossible. But to stand in inaction is to perish, and to perish is to fail. What determines survival, and ultimately success, is one’s ability to adapt to the consequences of the action taken, regardless of whether it’s right or wrong.

I thought this was really good. I loved it; it was short and simple, but it had a lot of depth and meaning in it. I really enjoyed it :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I chose this scene because it had strong emotions. It was out of my comfort zone, so I'm glad you liked it.

Remember the Slytherins by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: There is a thin line between love and hate. There is an even thinner line between Gryffindor and Slytherin; the willingness to do anything to achieve their goals. Gryffindors cannot see the big picture, and if they come to a decision to choose between the greater good and their loved ones or himself, they would sacrifice the world for their friends.

Slytherins are different. We know the value of sacrifice, but there is something else that separates us from those who wear red and gold. We will fight as hard as we can, in any way possible, even if it may be seen as unjustified or morally wrong. Gryffindors let their consciences get in the way of the greater goal. We don’t, but no one believes that we can fight for the right cause. They remember us as the evil, idiotic, or simply power hungry. They don’t remember us for what we are; who we are. We’re here to change that.

They will remember us, and they will remember us as those who fought all prejudice and cruelty simply because were were done with it. They will remember us, and the next time they think of a phoenix rising from the ashes they will remember this phrase:

Remember the Slytherins.

Nominated in the 2012 QSQ Awards - Next Gen/OC for Nick.

This story is amazing, Ellie!!!! I really like your writing style; it's very unique, and that interests me. I like the way you characterized Nick; she's very head-strong, and very Slytherin, indeed. But I am rather curious as to who gave her that scar... I hope we find out soon! But I really am enjoying this; keep it up, and update soon!!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! :)

I'm glad you like it. My writing is a little ... quirky. And Nick is one of the most stubborn people I've met (created), except maybe Al. As for the scar, chapter 12-13ish should reveal all. I already posted the next chapter, and until eleven it should be one right after the other. I'm so glad you like it. Thanks for reviewing!

I loved that! The fact that it was Draco/Harry made me smile with fsngirl love. It was adorable! Reminds me of Kurt and Blaine on Glee :)

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review. I had the Tom Jones Cerys Matthews version hammering my head as I wrote it, actually. Much as I love Kurt and Blaine, their version isn't smutty enough for me - *snigger* ~Carole~

Forever Dancing by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Sitting in my room watching raindrops dancing on the window pane, I try to catch the attention of the passers by, but no one can see.

They never see.

In her room at St Mungo's, Alice sits and waits.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. She wrote in so few words a scene between Neville and Alice that never fails to make me cry.

This story was inspired by the song Shadows in the Rain, by The Police. It was originally a drabble written for the lovely Ariana (lucca4) in the SBBC Musical Drabble Exchange.

Thank you, Natalie (hestiajones) for beta'ing the original drabble.

You have amazed me yet again. This was simply stunning; I loved it so much. I don't think that Neville's parents get enough credit or attention for what happened to them. But this... this was phenomenal. It was beautifully written, and had the right depth and emotion to the story. It was heart-melting. Loved it to pieces!

Author's Response: Thank you very much. Unlike my usual stories, I found it hard to add to the original drabble because other things seemed superfluous. I'm very pleased you found this successful. It's pretty different from my usual writing, but i was pleased with the end product. Thank you ~Carole~

421 Hours by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: 421 hours. That’s how long I spent in hell.

Hell was humid and hot, and was a ten-meter concrete box. It was filled with blackouts, and mind tricks. It was filled with pain. It was filled with memories; so horrid you wish you would die again just to escape it. The only thing hell wasn’t was lonely. The devil was always there to remind me exactly where I was.

Above all, hell was painful. And I couldn’t escape it.

This is a companion piece to All That’s Left. It isn’t completely necessary to read it before this, but I would recommend it.

Oh. My. Godric. That was spectacular! Like I said on the boards, it was deliciously dark. I loved every second of it; you really had me going! I was so afraid for James, and I thought everyone was dead... Wow. Just wow. Wow!

Author's Response: I love the dark stuff, don't you? Who needs teenage romance when you can have almost every character die?

Hehehe, that actually wasn't that sarcastic. Anyways, thank you so much for the review. I'm glad I manage to convince you of the deaths . . . and I have this to say: did you believe I killed James? I would really be a horrible person if I did, after all I put him through, in All That's Left and this.

Thank you so much. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. :)

This is beautiful. I loke the chopy style of it; I think it really captures the true essence of Harry's emotion. I also like the word choices; such as when you said they were helping him move his aching legs; it was very good :)

Author's Response: Thank you for the nice review :). I didn't mean for it too be choppy but I guess it worked out. I only hope to expand on this and get better.

The Question by Alice Mac

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

A voice said, Look me in the stars,

And tell me truly, men of earth,

If all the soul-and-body scars,

Were not too much to pay for birth - Robert Frost

Have you ever wondered if it's all worth it? The pain; the suffering; the torment; the misery; the loss? I do - everyday. Not my own - that of my son. My little boy. For me, that makes the question that much harder.

This story was positively heart-wrenching. My goodness, I found myself gasping and holding my breath (if that makes any sense, lol) the entire time. You did a brilliant job.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I'm glad it was effective, since there is always that chance that it's more effective for the writer than the reader, or that I just didn't get it down well enough to work. Thanks so much for reading, I appreciate the review!! ~Gina :)
