Bare by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:
All I ever wanted to do was fit in and be normal. I wanted friends, a nice boy, marriage and kids, the usual stuff. It wasn’t much to hope for.

Fighting a war can leave scars, and you can't always hide them.

This is Northumbrian of Ravenclaw writing for the Madam Pomfrey One-Shot Triathlon - Round Two: Minor Canon Characters, Prompt 1 (encounter with a mythical creature).

What fun this was to read! Poor LavLav! What's Seamus up to anyways, is he a farmer?

Author's Response: Glad you thought so. I suppose I'll have to write a Seamus story, eventually. -N-

Centuries by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:
Harry and Ginny reach their centuries. Life after one hundred years in ten one-hundred word scenes.

Nominated for: Best Canon Romance (One-shot) story - Quicksilver Quills 2012

Whatever it is, it's quite sad and moving. The last DA members and Harry Potter dying. I can't imagine it, but I can. A poignant end to a poignant story. Maybe it hits close to home because I am Harry's age, plus 28 days. (No really-July 1980.) Of course he's at Kings Cross, he's ready to go on. I'll stop tearing up now.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
It was a challenge for me to keep myself to my self-imposed word count, but I think it was worth it. All life ends, and it's worth remembering that, because the world will certainly remind you.

Conceptions by Northumbrian

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: It's the 14th of February. Ron isn't stupid, he knows what that day is. But why is Hermione distracted, and what does Malfoy have to do with it?

This is Northumbrian of Ravenclaw writing for the Great Hall Cotillion which is a type of dance - who says writing fanfiction isn't educational.

Aww I love the Valentine/Rose tie-in for Ron and Hermione!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This story started with the idea of how Rose got her name. -N-

Molly and her Daughter by Northumbrian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A story about Ginny's school days, and the relationship between a mother and her daughter.

I have done little else for the past few days (in my spare time, which is precious) but read your work. Thank you for another wonderfully written, 100% realistic dip into the world of Weasley. I look forward to this story's progression, whenever that happens.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
It may take a while for me to get back to this one, as I'm currently concentrationg on Friends and Foes, Hunters and Prey, and Aurors and Schoolgirls.

Brown by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lavender Brown is not the easiest of people to get along with. Mark has managed to overcome the first hurdle, she has finally agreed that they are going out together. Now Mark faces another challenge.

So contented with yet another well written, totally canon possible story between Lavender and Mark. I almost feel like JKR would have written about Mark, which is a 100% compliment to Northumbrian's writing and tale telling.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and the compliment. Lavender and Mark will return, but I have other stories to write first. -N-

Yggdrasil by Northumbrian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:
Luna attends the International Symposium on Fantastic Beasts in Sweden. She is looking for proof of the existence of the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. What she finds is something else entirely.

This is Northumbrian of Ravenclaw writing for Round Two (Travel Prompt) of the 2012 Madam Pomfrey’s One-Shot Character Triathlon.

Aww I've been waiting to hear Luna and Rolf's story! I'm quite glad that Luna and Neville didn't end up together in "real" life, and in this story as well. It's just too neat and tidy, and even JKR admitted that. Luna marrying a Scamander is much more her style.

Author's Response: Thank you. I have plans for Rolf and Luna, and also for Rolf. He’ll be appearing in another story soon(ish). -N-

Friends and Foes by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It took Harry and his friends years to discover who killed Colin Creevey. Ginny and Luna's classmate is the only person whose killer remains free. It is 2001, and the search has been ongoing for a year. Will the killer ever be brought to justice?

I can't wait to read more! I love Daisy, and how you have kept the flower name theme for Evans/Dursley women, though JKR seems to relish them in general. (Lavender, Myrtle, Lily, Petunia, Pansy, etc.)

So, Millie-could her given name be Millicent?

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
Daisy will be back, but not for a few chapters. Instead you’ll be meeting another OC. I look on Lavender as having a colour name, because I called her mother Carmine, and her daughter violet, except that’s a flower too, isn’t it? As for Millie…
