Moonlight and Mead by CCMugg

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What if Ron hadn’t started dating Lavender yet by the night of Professor Slughorn’s Christmas party during their sixth year? Here’s a glimpse of what could have happened during Ron and Hermione’s first official date, which involves a few glasses of mead, a small bout of jealousy, and the discovery of a secluded spot for a romantic rendezvous.

This is a cute AU story. I liked it, although I still feel that Ron and Hermione needed something monumental, like the War to bring them together. After all, they needed to fight a troll to become friends :) But still, this was cute and romantic!

Author's Response: I agree, JKR wrote it perfectly having them go through hell before getting together, this was just my fun little fantasy. Thanks for reading and commenting!

The Question (Again) by Northumbrian

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry is on his way to ask Ginny a question. No - not a question the question. How hard can it be?

It started out with anticipation, and there is so much travel involved, one place to another, so much so that at a point of time I thought maybe Ginny had an inkling of what Harry was about to do and hence was actually giving him a hard time for some fun. But I went all "awww" at the end, it was so amazing. I loved it. I guess I am a sucker for mush, but, you wrote it really well. Both the stories, The Question and this, were great, and my heart became twice its size. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This and The Question are certainly mush, but Harry suffered to bring you this mush! As Ron rather grumpily said, Why is it the bloke's job? :-D -N-

Whatever it is,it's here and it's wonderful. I clearly have something in my eye right now, they're a little moist...I loved this. I don't know what else to say. King's Cross was the best. You're amazing

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
This story (stories?) were an experiment. It seems to have worked. Kings Cross was obvious, to me, anyway. Glad you liked it.

Owl Post by Northumbrian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Some letters are mundane: generic form letters which arrive with monotonous regularity. Other letters are life changing.
Some letters can be both.

That was so sweet! and the owl aspect was wonderful.

Minor nitpick, in one place Ginny is referred to as "his wife", I think it'd be better if the owl referred to her as the dame, which by the way, was wonderfully put - sire, dame and hatchling.

But I loved the story. The whole Drakeshaugh theme, with the Potter kids growing up, is a story I really look forward to, and this was yet another piece of the jigsaw at Drakeshaugh :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review.
The owl aspect was fun to write, I did wonder about "wife" but I didn't want to over use dame. I'll take another look at it.
My next short story (actually, next but one after "What Lina Sees") will be a three part Christmas story set before the Potters move to Drakeshaugh, and before the events in Ginny's rival.

The Knitting Alternative by Misdemeanor1331

Summary: Stuck in the Manor and bored nearly out of his mind, Draco Malfoy hatches a plan of questionable legality to acquire some company.

This was hilarious to no end! But, but but, the end, oh, it leaves scope for so much! (Read Sequel! :P )

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm considering a sequel, but I don't know if it's going to happen ever/any time soon. I don't want to force it, after all. ;)

My Harry Heart by SaboteurVictory

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: While Ginny sulks in her bedroom of The Burrow, her whole family in hiding and the love of her life on the run, she thinks. She thinks dark thoughts, and she think depressing thoughts. Mostly, she thinks of Harry.

Hey, that's a rather touching story. Ginny's perspective hadn't been touched much in the books and I haven't come across other fanfics on the topic (kinda new here). So, yes, it has its share of cheese, but one does tend to feel these things, and you were able to put that across. Nicely done :)

Disillusioned by SaboteurVictory

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lily Evans is practicing her Disillusionment Charm. The thing about being invisible, however, is that sometimes you hear things from people who don't realize you're there...

And sometimes, the things you hear might just change your mind. Maybe.

This was an absolutely lovely way of determining why Lily softened toward James. And your characters were in character, so good job there. :) I had fun reading this (though I wonder if there'd be a sequel to this, one fine day, after James and Lily were together, when Lily tells him about this perhaps?). I like the flow of your writing. Good job!
