Well, I suppose that since I have my first few stories up on the boards, it would be good to create a bio. I am a crazy thirteen-year-old girl with a weird family, weird friends, and EXTREMELY weird imagination. I have been in love with the Harry Potter series for a bit more than two years now (I discovered it the day after Christmas when I was ten years old, about to turn eleven).

My first story on these archives is called Fighting For the Cause. It's about two completely different characters who have the typical Gryffindor-Slytherin hate-and-look-down-on-each-other sort of relationship until the Death Eaters take over Hogwarts. But you'll have to read it to find out more!

The Hungarian Horntail, my first poem, is about...well, you tell me. ;)

Mother Dearest is about Hannah Abbott and her mother. It was a big challenge for me, but hopefully it paid off....

My most recent story is Where They Can't Follow. I am especially proud of this one, and I'm trying extra hard to write it! It's my first Next-Gen story (focusing on Lily Luna Potter) and is a far cry from my original headcanon after reading the Epilogue, but I think that I like it better this way.

Anyways, I am working on a BUNCH of stories just for fun right now that I might post later on. Some of the featured characters include Voldemort, Narcissa Malfoy, and Teddy Lupin...although they aren't in the same story, but rather three different ones! I'll keep you posted about when I'm ready to submit them.

Well, enough of my blabbering! Why don't you go on ahead and scroll down to check out my published works?

I really liked the ending of this! You are a really awesome writer. Good job! I especially liked Ron's "Gryffindor Pride" robes--that was a wonderful touch :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I had so much fun writing this story and am really glad you enjoyed it! :)

More Than A Game by Hypatia

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one.” -Dumbledore, HBP, ch. 13

Dumbledore was rarely wrong, only once did Lord Voldemort desire a friend. It started out as only a game…

First place winner in the Color of Love Challenge.

Nominated for Best Romance Between Other Characters in the 2008 QSQs!

Oh my gosh...I cried so hard when I read this! I mean, I knew that they wouldn't have a happy ending, but...oh, Lydia.... This was so beautiful and heartbreaking... *sniffles* I feel so sorry for Lydia and Tom! And Hestia...Hestia Jones is Lydia's daughter? :o Now whenever she is mentioned, I have something to remember this story with. Oh my gosh, I love this pairing so much....

Author's Response: Thank you! (But I'm sorry it made you cry.) And yes, I wrote Hestia as being Lydia's daughter. I thought having her parents being attacked and killed while she was at Hogwarts would have motivated her to join the Order of the Phoenix. In hindsight, I think maybe she was supposed to be younger in the books, but there was such a vague description of her that I somehow pictured her being Molly Weasley's age.

Thank you for reviewing,
Hypatia

When Worlds Collide by jenny b

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

Rose was a Weasley. She never gave Scorpius Malfoy a second glance. They were sworn enemies, even though they’d barely even spoken to each other. But sometimes all it takes for love to blossom is a Potions lesson, a few snide remarks and a dropped book.

Two people. Two entirely different worlds that are suddenly intertwined.

I haven't reviewed this story yet even though I've been reading it over the past two days, so I suppose that since I'm almost finished it would be a good thing to do. Even though this particular chapter was very serious, I laughed quite a bit when Hermione was berating Ron about wanting to keep the door open so that he could keep an eye on Rose and Scorpius. I think that this story is beautifully written, and my favorite character is Albus Potter.

Pride and Pre-Juiced Plums: A Potter's Pentagon Love Story by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A companion piece to the Potter's Pentagon trilogy... it's better if you've read the Potter's Pentagon trilogy, but you don't necessarily have to.

It's five years after Emma Weasley and her chums graduated from Hogwarts. Ted and Ivy are married, Haley is working at Madame Puddifoot's while trying desperately to break into show business, Jordan's doing whatever it is he does, and Emma is an Auror trainee working as a guard at the Chudley Cannons' stadium. The Cannons have actually been doing much better lately, due to their new star Beater, Tyrone Thomas. Unfortunately, Tyrone is Emma's ex-boyfriend. OH, THE AWKWARDNESS.

Follow Emma through her awkward adventures told in her usual insane way, as she experiences angst, hilarity, obnoxiously strange people, misadventures involving a deceptively dashing cad, Haley's wedding, the birth of Ted and Ivy's baby, and her own eventual descent into LURRRVE.

Written for the marvellous Vindictus Viridian's Pride and Prejudice NEWTs class on the Fanfiction Beta Boards, based on Jane Austen's fantastic novel, "Pride and Prejudice.".

Nominated in the 2008 Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Non-Canon Romance Story! And its lovely (haha) heroine, Emma Weasley, received two nominations for Best Female Original Character, while Haley Potter and Ivy Potter each received one! Thanks so much, guys!

The rip-off of Pride and Prejudice is complete genius. I love how you call the Darcy guy "jerkface girl-name" and have him stomp off to an emo corner. I once tried to read that book and didn't much care for it, but these little summaries are quite funny!
Emma is a really cool character, but Mr. Sappy (Ted) seems to be my favorite character so far.

Love at First Strike by Equinox Chick

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: When Cupid and his trainee, Godfrey, arrive at Hogwarts, their plan is to bring some love into Angelina Johnson’s life. Cupid knows exactly who she should be with. Unfortunately, when Godfrey panics the second arrow ends up in a totally different place.

Lavender, blue - A Gryffindor true by Equinox Chick

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary: When Lavender Brown returns to Hogwarts for her seventh year, she knows things will be hard. Professor Dumbledore’s death has scared everybody, and with her Muggle-born mother in hiding, she makes a promise to her father to stay safe.

But to stay safe she must ignore her instincts and turn her back on her friends.

This is a Lavender Brown/Blaise Zabini story, but also concerns that last year at Hogwarts when the Trio were a'hunting Horcruxes.

Thank you to Laura (bookofsecrets) and Terri (mudbloodproud) for beta'ing the first chapter, Alyssa (Harry4lif) for the second and Emma (Amortentia x) for taking over the reins. And Natalie for the last chapter.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. I doubt that surprises anyone.

This story won the 2010 QSQ for Best Chaptered Non-Canon Romance. Thank you to everyone who nominated, appreciated and judged.

ATTENTION: Because of prissy glitch on the archive, stories with a rating about 3rd-5th cannot be read. I have lowered the rating to enable access, but the content remains the same. This is a PROFESSORS rated fic. Read at your own discretion - the sexual situations warning is there for a reason.

After reading High, I just had to read this as well. Plot and character developement are good so far, and it makes me hate Crabbe even more.

Author's Response: WOOT WOOT - sorry, this is my 100th review for this story and I've been waiting a while so I'm grinning form ear to ear (Thankfully I'm not George Weasley). I'm pleased you liked this story. Lavender and Blaise weren;t going to be a part of High but I rather liked him being Potions master, plus Lavender just pushes her way into everything - ha ha. Thank you again ~Carole~

Unwanted Gifts by jenny b

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lily Evans and Severus Snape were best friends. Always had been, perhaps always would be. But there is a thin line between them – a line that has always held Severus back from showing Lily how he really feels about her.

One Christmas, he steps over the line, and gives Lily a simple gift she did not ask for. A kiss.

Dead and Gone by Karaley Dargen, padfootsgirl1981

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: After the First War, wizards and witches everywhere were celebrating. But there were still losses, and deaths to be mourned; and in the end, there were more similarities between the good and the bad guys than one might like to think.

Molly Weasley had two brothers, who fought Voldemort and paid with their lives. She always thought that all what happened was horrible, but she never thought it would happen to her own family. And now, people everywhere are celebrating, and hardly anyone thinks of all the heroes that died anymore.

Avery was a Death Eater. He watched many people suffer and die, and never cared - until his friends die for Voldemort’s cause. And now, people everywhere are celebrating, and no one thinks of all the brave and good men the other side had lost.

This is padfootsgirl1981 of Hufflepuff and Karaley Dargen of Gryffindor submitting for the Interhouse Co-Op Challenge in the Great Hall.

Date: 05/18/12 Title: Chapter 1: Dead and Gone

I thought that this was a great story, but I think that I liked Molly's half better because it seemed to explain a lot and make you wonder why Molly would give Harry such a prized possession for his 17th birthday.

What Mulciber Did to Mary Macdonald by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Do you know what he tried to do to Mary Macdonald the other day?"

"That was nothing," said Snape. "It was a laugh, that's all --"

"It was Dark Magic, and if you think that's funny --" **

Two versions of the same incident. But what did Mulciber actually do to Mary Macdonald that could be viewed in two different ways, and why was Severus Snape so keen to defend Mulciber?

** The words at the beginning of this summary are taken directly from The Prince's Tale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. I doubt that surprises anyone.

Thank you very much to Natalie (hestiajones) for beta'ing this fic for me.

Date: 04/14/12 Title: Chapter 1: What Mulciber did to Mary Macdonald

That seems to explain quite a bit, I'd been wondering about that! I think that it was rather mean of Lily to accuse James like that, but it was nice of Mary to stick up for him. And Severus Snape would know a spell like that, especially since his cleverness is motivated by black magic...even as a fifth year, which makes me sad. I wonder why Mulciber liked Mary so much if she was a Gryffindor and a Half-Blood?

Author's Response: Mulciber desired her, he didn;t like her particularly, he just fancied her. It's rather like Voldemort understanding that Snape 'desired' Lily because he couldn't conceive him loving her. Lily was a bit mean to accuse James, but this is pre SWM, so she thinks James is a mean old bully - ha! (Well, he is a bit, but he's redeemed later). Thank you for reviewing. ~Carole~

The Happy Couple by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Romilda Vane is a young reporter for The Daily Prophet. Currently writing a popular column for the Social pages, she is outraged when the highlight of the social calender - the wedding of Harry James Potter to Ginevra Molly Weasley - is given to Lavender Brown to write.

Lavender isn't happy either, for their boss (He-Who-Pays-Our-Wages) has threatened to assign her to the Cookery section unless she dishes the dirt on her friends. She readily agrees to Romilda taking on the assignment for what could the Saviour of the Wizarding World possibly have to hide?

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry for The Weddings Challenge in The Great Hall. I chose prompt 3 - The Daily Prophet Report.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling, but I think you all know that.

I hated "Mildew" at first, but I suppose that she did some good for Dean in the end after all. I actually felt badly for her when she thought that she didn't deserve to be there...though I suppose that she didn't. Good job--just like all of your other brilliant stories.

Author's Response: Thank you. Romilda is a tricky character. Resourceful in her fourth year to drug Harry (or try) and that's all we know about her. Im not a fan, but ... that's not everthing about her ... *sigh* thank youuuu ~Carole~

First Date Disaster by Equinox Chick

This was probably one of the most depressing stories that I have ever read, but I strangely liked it. Good writing and detail, good play on Ginny's emotions about the whole thing, and a good central plot.

Author's Response: Wow, one of the most depressing? I never would have pegged one of my stories for that honor, lol. But yes, it is very sad. I'm still occasionally surprised I wrote something quite so dark, but sometimes challenges inspire us. I'm glad you liked it for all it's tragedy.
