I love Harry Potter fan fiction, because it allows my imagination to run free!
I probably could be doing something more productive, but since I love to read and write, and hope to be an author one day, this doesn't seem like a whole waste of time!!!!
I love this site so much. It really let's me challenge my mind and see things in a whole new light.
Go fan fiction!!!!!

EDIT: I am a poetry nut! So watch out for all my poetry and you can even check some of my poetry out on Poetry Anyone? in the Beta Forums, if you are able to get an account. :) Also watch out if you write poetry, too! I am sure to review it, and possibly leave behind a critique!

Miss Me by Valentinia

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Merope Gaunt is alone and in love with a man she knows she can never have back. In her loneliness she writes a letter that is never to be delivered to Tom Riddle.

Reviews would be greatly appreciated! Constructive critism is definately welcome!

Wow! This made me cry! What emotion! If its any consolation, I miss Merope. I miss her when I finish the stories about her, and want to find her and tell her that I will be her friend. That arrogant Tom Riddle Sr! He should have stayed with her or at least helped her out. No compassion or mercy whatsoever! If any men are reading this, they should well remember to treat their women well! That goes without saying that women should do the same for their men. :)
What a beautifully tragic letter! I shall treasure it always.

Glass Shoe by DaisyMaeEvans

Summary: Every girl deserves a fairy-tale night. Unfortunately Hermione Granger is not the fairy-tale sort.
Reviewer: Nagini Riddle Signed

Hi! I don't know the tube, but I really enjoyed this! The rhyme scheme was beautiful and I rather thought that this fit Hermione.

A few changes would really help the rhythm:

In the last line of your first stanza, I think it would work better to add the word "one" in front of "glass shoe."

For the second stanza, the last line would flow better if it had "this one glass shoe." Just take out "a" and substitute "this one."

For the last stanza, it would work better if the last two lines read as such, "I guess I've cut my heart on this one glass shoe/I must have cut my heart on this small glass shoe."

Other than that, the rhythm was fine! :) Way to go. I hope you keep writing.

Not Really Saying Goodbye by Gmariam

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry Potter is staying at the Burrow for Bill and Fleur’s wedding. The night before he leaves on his journey to vanquish Voldemort, he goes out to the garden to think. Soon Ginny joins him, and he finally tells her about Prophecy. Ron and Hermione come out for a brief shared moment. Harry and Ginny come to a sad but resolute understanding before returning to the house hand in hand.

This is a one-shot scene from Book Seven. It is very fluffy and possibly a bit sniffly! It is also the second part of The Seventh Summer, a set of three stories taking place in the summer after Harry's sixth year.

First off, I must say that this excerpt was impressive in its language. The scene felt extremely natural to me, despite knowing that the seventh book took a different direction.

The interaction between Harry and Ginny was very good, and I was not surprised that Ginny blew up, nor that Harry handled it pretty rationally. Although, I was kind of hoping for Harry to get frustrated like he always does and blow up himself. But I suppose he wouldn't want to hurt Ginny, so that makes sense.

My only criticism is how quickly Ginny accepted the prophecy without really asking what it meant, because it took awhile for Harry to understand it. I know Ginny says that she always knew Harry would have to be the one to go against Voldemort, but still, I think she would have fought the prophecy a tad bit more before accepting it. However, you may see it differently than I do. :)

As a pairing, this story worked well for Harry/Ginny, and I say that not being a fan of them. :) You captured those tender moments really well, and them just hugging each other for a while said it all. For that, I give you kudos!

Anyways, very nice job. Keep it up!

Severus Suffering by GryffindorGoddess

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily Evans was the only woman Severus Snape ever loved. During school she was the only person for whom he felt anything other than contempt, but leave it to James Potter to crush his dreams of ever having her. Now, when he is shocked to be invited to their wedding, what decision will he make? Will he stay isolated in the shadows of his despair, or use the opportunity as a chance to say goodbye?

I love this pairing! I wish Severus got Lily!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh.
This was a great story! I really enjoyed the very beginning with them as boys, and I enjoyed it when Lily gave Sev a kiss. :) *daydreams*

Amor Non Mutuus by Dumbledore Prince

Rated: Professors •
Summary: “Amor Non Mutuus” is Latin for “Unrequited Love”.

This is the story of the tragic love life of Merope Gaunt, Voldemort’s mother. It is told in first person from Merope’s point of view. She has deep feelings for Tom Riddle Senior, the son of the village squire; and tries to make him fall in love with her. However, Merope learns the hard way that a “love” potion can create only a powerful obsession, not true love.

Additional warning: bad language.

I love seeing different versions of this history! Poor Merope! I think he should have listened to her conscience right away! But then, my favorite character would never have been born...
Great job!

Born on the Streets by Cruciatus Love

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A young woman tells the tale of how she started her life completely alone with no one to turn to, and ends it the same way. She describes how she worked her way up the mountain to find everything she ever wanted, or could ever love, and how she was pushed back down it into the same place she started from. Listen to her as she shows you the story of her doomed life.

Wow. Rarepair central. :) I laughed so much! Great job.

I also love your username! That series of books has been one of my favorites and I absolutely live the ridiculous name Telemain came up with for the trigger word in order to melt those pesky wizards. Teehee! I always found it interesting how different authors portray wizards...

Anyways, great job! ~Nagini Riddle

Again, poor Merope... I wonder what Tom was thinking when he left... He was always a pompous brat to me- what did Merope see in him? I'm sure it was just his riches and good looks...
Great story! I really enjoyed it!

Nice! Very clever!!!! I still think, though, that Tom probably didn't care much for Myrtle. But this was a very interesting idea! Nice job.
