Author's Response: I'm extremely glad you enjoyed the story so far. I haven't had a lot of reviews lately. I also haven't been very active, or had much time to write. I do hope to get back to this story some day, finishing it is still a goal of mine, but unfortunately one that is on hold for now. 'The One' is an insidious myth, and 'Meant To Be' smacks of a hope to which no one has a right.
It's a shame the two of them bought into it for so long.
And it's too bad old habits are so hard to break.
