I'm a 25 year-old English grad student and HP fan from Somewhere on the Eastern Coast, USA. I've written fanfic before, but my ventures into Harry Potter's universe are relatively new. Most people know me as a fanartist anyway ;). In any case, on to the updates...

The AtDiC saga is almost at its end, but a prequel awaits just around the bend!

Join the Harry Potter Odyssey Yahoo!Group for updates on After the Die is Cast and its prequel, Forbidden Ground

Don't miss it. ;)

Only Her Kiss by GwendolynJames

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: She didn’t want to hear him reject her again. She didn’t need that confirmation. She didn’t need to know that he still didn’t forgive her. She had to take the initiative. She had to end it before he could. One-shot.

You have a fantastic way with dialogue, especially between Harry and Ginny. My only criticism is that it ended too soon. Bravo :)

The Quidditch Captain by Weasel King Fan

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry is back at Hogwarts for his sixth year and is the new captain of Gryffindor's Quidditch team. But, in his first season as captain, things don't exactly go according to plan...

Hey! Finally getting a chance to pop over and review! Okay, first off, I'm in love with Oliver Wood, so you get an automatic 10 for bringing him back ;). I also think love-struck!Ron and Affectionate!Harry are wonderful. You really have a novel idea for a story here - sports narrative with romance! On the side of constructive criticism, draw out your transitions a little bit more - we've been jumping from one scene to the next at a fairly quick pace, which works wonderfully with Quidditch, but doesn't give us enough time to identify with Ron and his feelings for hermione. Teeny tiny critiques aside, you have a great talent for writing and I look forward to chapter 6! Keep it up!!

Aetas nam mutatio by H Cooper

Rated:
Summary: Bearing in mind the events of book 6, this story now no longer fits into the overall plot of Harry Potter. However, I shall continue to write it regardless, keeping it as a separate story. Therefore, please remember that it will not be influenced by book 6. It's the beginning of Harry, Ron and Hermione's seventh year at Hogwarts and change is in the air. Unfortunately, Ron seems to be the only one who doesn't sense it.

Wow. I really wanted to wring Ron's neck towards the end, there! *sigh* That kiss was so sweet, though. You really know how to work the unresolved sexual tension! Bravo and I can't wait for more! :)

Krikey. That's one hell of a cliffhanger. Awesome chapter and, as usual, your dialogue was entertaining and creative -- especially when Malfoy and Ron were having their exchange. Don't know how you pulled it off - Malfoy, both counselor and enemy at the same time :). Two thumbs up :).

Daddy by blondebouncingferret

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Post Hogwarts: Ron and Harry are sent to America for Auror training. Ron spends his last night in England with Hermione, and after returning two years later, he finds Hermione with a fifteen-month-old baby ...

Oh my GOD. This story is amazing!! Let me have a go at Miranda - she's so deliciously evil!

Right Under His Nose by CathCarl

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry comes back from serving detention with Ron and finds Ginny and Dean in a rather compromising position. A strange and confusing set of new feelings erupts... like wanting to punch Dean Thomas senseless. But what's confusing Harry most of all is that Ginny no longer seems to be just Ron's little sister... she's a beautiful girl, standing right under his nose-- exactly where he hadn't been looking.

Edited by Moderator: Summaries should be concise and minimally formatted. They should not contain any form of author's note or pleas for reviews.

I just stumbled across this fic and had to tell you that it's absolutely perfect. The characterization is spot on, the funny bits were hilarious, and the romance is sweet without being too gushy. 10/10, I LOVE this story :).

Malicious Intentions by Lurid

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This story follows the Trio, Bill Fleur and Ginny after Hogwarts, Engagements and Marriages... and children. Bill and Fleur's daughter Millie is haunted at Hogwarts by her younger sister. The only “abnormal” thing about this haunting? She was believed dead … but is most definitely alive.

Awesome plot - original and fun to read :). And very, very suspenseful - I can't wait to find out what happens next! Bravo!

Author's Response: Thanks! So far I haven't found another plot like this, so I'm proud of myself *note to self, bring Shrinking Solution next time for massive ego* It's just I've alwyas written stories, but nothing this big and nothing I actually enjoy reading online myself; i actually enjoy going back to the start and reading it from an outsiders POV, imagining what's going through their minds, and that sorta helps me create the next plot twist. That's why I love theories, [reviews help here]makes it harder for me to write, and makes it more enjoyable when I go back and actually re-read my work. Thankyou for returning the favour!

Very interesting and entertaining chapter, there! A question popped into my head as I was reading the seance with Lily - does she still look as old as she was when Voldemort killed her? (I know that's random, but I think it's interesting if they're calling her "Grandmother" and she looks, well, like my age ;). *sigh* I feel old...) Really enjoying the dynamic of the kids across the houses - what are those sneaky Slytherins going to do to her! For constructive criticism, all I can say is to be a little careful with the continuity; there are moments when the narrative's flow sort of breaks up. (That's a hard critique to describe, but I guess it means that there are moments where I had to reread because I sort of lost my footing on what was happening.) Otherwise, great chapter, keep up the good work and two thumbs up :).

Author's Response: Yeah, it is a bit odd, i never thought of it like that! I think Lily was about 22 or something when she died... so year, it would be a bit weird for Sirius (Potter) to be talkign to his grandmother.. whose onyl 5 years older than him!

Author's Response: Oh, and you're not old. I am just very, very young =)

Ah! I forgot! On your author's notes vs. preview idea... I like the author's notes. I totally dig when the author has something to say.

Author's Response: Well, form now on, the end of the chapter is the start of the next chapter, as you'll notice as soon as you read ch. 9, and the authors notes will hopefully have a quirky (or annoying) twist soon enough!

DAMN, girl! That was hardcore stuff, there! I have to say, I was kringing 90% of the time only to find myself at yet another cliffhanger at the end! Egad! :) Anyhoo, awesome chapter and one teeny insignificant question: isn't Blaise Zabini black? Cheers!

Author's Response: Bwahahah at last, you have unleased my weakness =-) my pre-HBP draft! True, this was written and beta-d before HBP, but then my hard drive crashed.. yaddd yadda been THREE MONTHS at the shop, only ot say the only files they recovered were... my borthers. Which he happens to have a copy of on his Notebook. Of course, he deleted my files form his precious flash key, so I'm left up knockturn alley with floo powder. Ah yes, thje Blaise bieng black thing- as this was pre-hbp, blaise was the slightly more dianty version of draco in my mind... "her" (yes her!) nose being slightly more upturned. Of course, this was before the new came out of Blaise being a BOY, well at least before i had interne tin my room again... and this is tkaing too long. wait for the behiund the scenes fic where i point out all my errors and analyse your reviews! Joy!

You have quite a way with suspence, Lurid! Yipes! I was particularly amused by the whole switching from Harry/Ginny and back to the girls - made for a nice balance of fun and romance, and horror and suspence! Can't wait for the next :)

Author's Response: Really? Thank you! I haven\'t noticed my writing style getting better, as my beta said, but i suppose you lot have! Thanks so much for the kind review!

Fantastic Chapter! One of the things I really adore about this story is that, although it's set so far into the future, it's so true to the Potterverse: I love the use of the founders and the appearance of "Grandma Lily" :) I wish I could have heard a little more about how the mind-reading came about. Aside from that and a couple of verb mix-ups I located (I'll e-mail you), I give it two thumbs up! Well done :)

Author's Response: Thanks! Every since HBP obviously there has been one BIG mistake, but i have tied to subtely change the little detaisl that no one really notices.. but the keen eye might see. Hopefully chapter 9 will be up (8 got accepted today!) and there will be sopme answers to all the questions people ask... and some more material for you to question!

Weee! I love fluffitudinous fiction :)! Harry's becoming a rather randy young lad, isn't he? Lovely story, kudos to Ginny for sticking to her guns, and I look forward to reading French Blue :).

Author's Response: Yeah, I figure when Harry and Ginny spend some more time together after the war he'll start thinking about "that" a little more! Glad you liked it; I hope you like french Blue too!

I'll always be with you... by hattiepotter

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sequel to Always Stick Together. After the life-changing events of the last few weeks, and the emotional ending to Always Stick Together, the wizarding world prepares to fight for their freedom. Harry is going to have to play a key role in the battle and Ginny is willing to do anything to get them through the Second War... Love, unity, friendship and courage will all be tested in this battle between good and evil - but will it all come to a happy ending?

Reading Always Stick Together first is not completely necessary, but it would help this story to make more sense!

Lol! It's so wierd reading another final battle fic when you're writing your own... Loved the chapter much - entertaining, exciting, funny, and moving - and can't wait to see the DA come back :). Two thumbs up!

Author's Response: Oh great! I might have to hunt that out. Meanwhile, thanks for reading my fic. I actually have some rather BIG NEWS in that last night I finished this story. There are 2 more chapters to type up and put on here, then it will all be over! Please do keep checking back for those 2 updates - hopefully they will be done to post by the end of the Christmas hols. xxx

The Severed Souls by Magical Maeve

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Summary : The sequel to Daughter of Light. Maeve has a very bad end to her honeymoon as things come to light about Severus that astound her. Why is her husband so keen to keep Draco Malfoy alive at all costs and can she really get over her loathing of Narcissa Malfoy to work together to save both Severus and Draco from the fate that Voldemort would like to inflict on them? Why is Harry so furtive and will Neville save the day when Maeve’s necklace is returned to her by her father. Oh, and our favourite bad-boy Auror is back!

There has been rather a long break in the writing of the story due to work commitments, but I'm back on the case and hoping to get it finished - if there's anyone left still reading!! :-)
