Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind by Huskers

This is the year seven sequel to, Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor. Read that first, or you will have no clue what is going on in this. Now that HBP is out, and I have continued to post my story, Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind, I thought I would take a second to say this. Unlocked Mind will not be modified in any way to accomodate any of the cannon from HBP. Unlocked Mind, while not posted, was essentially finished before the release of JKR's book. Any similarities that my version of year seven has that may tie it to JKR's version of year six are coincidence.

it can't be over!!!!!! nooooooo! i have to go and find a new favorite story now! really great piece of writing, i absolutely adore it! you could be as good of writer as J.K.R. in some respects. have you thought about taking this story farther, like a post-hogwarts sequel to a sequel type thing? like do all the things in the epilogue in more detail. i'm sorry if that's a stupid idea but i'm craving more of this story! 10\10!
Author's Response: NOOOOooooo, absolutly not, I will not be doing a sequel to these two stories. Because, I feel it best to let the characters be. I have read series, where it never ends, there is always a new evil for the hero to defeat. And I get sick of it. Sooner or latter, I want to know that the hero is dead, or gets to live a somewhat normal life. For that reason, I will not write anymore in the, Blood Traitor, Unlocked Mind, story line.
I'm sorry to leave you craving more, but that is the mark of a good writer. Use your imagination, if you want, I gave you a start, go ahead and fill in the story yourself. I don't mind at all. In fact, that would be a huge compliment.
Anyways, thank you, and I'm gald you enjoyed reading the stories.

This is an awesome chapter. I like how everything is being put into motion and everything is aligning itself for the impending final battle. It was definately a good idea for Fred to get Peeves and Myrtle on the Order's side. I like that idea a lot. It is very smart. I'm curious is Harry really likes Susan, or if the date was a rouse to get her to Hargids to join the Order. Also, the question we've all been wondering, will Ron have the operation to get his voice back?
One Spelling error I noticed:
'Ron was a little sceptical about Fred coming back to Hogwarts as a new caretaker.' Sceptical should be spelled skeptical.
Looking forward to the next chapter, as i always do with this story!

I absolutely adore the line “So, when we’re old, like twenty or something, will you marry me?” You capture their innocence wonderfuly, and you did a fantastic job overall with this story.

this is one of the times when i just do a headdesk for the obvious solution to a simple problem. like in book 5 where harry set up the elaborate plan to find sirius and flew off to the ministry instead of using the mirror, harry here charges off to battle when he doesnt need to. ummm ... the portkey? it's so obvious that he could just tell minerva to grab it and then apparate to grimmauld place from there, but no. the hero complex. always complicated. *Headdesk* but these little flaws give characters character, because no one is perfect. i cant wait to see how this plays out.

Love it! You wrote Neville very well with this story, and your OC Grace didn't come off as a Mary Sue like most OC's do. Just a few grammar issues I noticed (sorry if this is a bother, but I'm in the Beta Guild)...
'After she had left the room, Neville sighed deeply ' This sentence near the top of the page needs a period at the end.
'“Distraction or not, Neville, you’ve got to tell her how you feel, she went on.' This sentence a little farther down needs quotes after the comman and before she.
I love the ending with all the engagements and weddings, and what Ginny said about Voldemort is very profound. 10/10.

I love the start to this fic. I found Tom's reaction to Merope's invitation interesting, yet fitting. I have never given the topic much thought, but Tom's unwillingness to enter the house is very nice and in character for him. You're fleshing out a character that we know almost nothing about, and you're doing it brilliantly!

I love this POV on the Quidditch match! It gives it so much more depth. I had never considered that Barty Crouch could have organized the Death Eaters to do what they did, and I like this version of events with that in it. Also, I hadn't thought that his real task would have been to get Voldy a new body, but i like that aspect too. Gerat work!
