Wow that is so scary- but why can't she tell anyone? Isnt this as bad as it can get?

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm speechless. I don't really know what to say- but it's a really good story.

I imagine the soundtrack for the part where Draco's holding Hermione before he has to leave to be the song "Daylight" by Maroon 5. This is so sad, but I'm definitely going to keep reading!

April Rain by Kimberley

Rated: Professors •
Summary: ***COMPLETED!***Five years ago, half way through her third year at Hogwarts, Regan Jayden was expelled for reasons only she and a very select few know. But now that she's been allowed to return-- under certain terms-- in what would have been her graduating year, will she be able to regain the trust of her fellow Hogwarts students, and of herself?

Excerpt from story: Merlin, he was going soft, Draco thought as he tried not to grimace. He'd start spouting off poetry in a minute if he wasn't careful. This whole love thing was sending him round the twist.

This is a fantastic story. Regan has just the right amount of spunk and caring. She's strong willed and can really bring Draco down to earth. I love her character.

She Was Beautiful by social loner

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Draco relives his happiest, most painful memory of love and pain as he fights for his life. But what is worth living for when what you want, love, has left forever?

“Draco didn’t know what it was, whether it was the intoxicating appeal of forbidden fruit, or the way her hair blew in the breeze, with lovely brown tendrils that lay elegantly down her back. What he did know, was that she was beautiful.”

I’m Social Loner from Hufflepuff, and this is for the June one-shot challenge.

It's so sad and beautiful! I nearly started crying at the end.

The Letter by moebear

Rated: Professors •
Summary: My sisters were the beautiful ones, the ones with the world open to them, and I was the one who climbed trees and didn’t pay attention when they scratched me until I was covered in blood and it was already too late. The trees had given me a bit of their sap to staunch the flow, and in doing so had turned me into a wild thing, something that should have been free, but was caged forever, tied down by life.

In the Bellatrix fic, I really liked your description of Andromeda. We never hear much about her in the books, so I had thought she was more of the plain child. However, I like your description of Bellatrix as the plain one. Using the tree sap reference really emphasizes how strange and wild she is. It really compares her to a tree: strong, unflinching, doesn't care.
In the Ginny fic, I liked how she was in a dream for most of it. That shows how she really wasn't in control of her actions in CoS. This, also is a new take. I had never thought of Ginny as loving Tom Riddle, but it makes sense. Love is a strong motivation.

In general, I like the overall sense of longing and loss, but I think it would have been better if you'd posted the fics separately. The two pieces have different tones, and it was a bit difficult transitioning.

Inner Demons by lucca4

Rated: Professors • Past Featured Story
Summary:

The Battle of Hogwarts changed the lives of many.

For Katie Bell, nothing mattered anymore, least of all her Quidditch career.

For Draco Malfoy, it meant he had to face that surviving comes at a price.

They each had their own demons to face alone. But for each other, they were a form of release.

Winner of the 2012 QSQ - Best Dark/Angsty Story

Many, many thanks to my beta Sarah/TheCursedQuill, whose speedy beta-ing and wonderful comments helped transform this into a two-shot.

Someone Like You by Alice Mac

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited

But I couldn't stay away - I couldn't fight it

I hoped you'd see my face and that you be reminded

That for me, it isn't over yet

Neville Longbottom is newly married; finally has a job that he's passionate about and, against all the odds, is finally happy.

He hasn't thought about her for months now. But then she comes back to remind him that he was happy once before - a long, long time ago.

This is a great idea: building a Neville/Luna relationship despite who marries who in the end. I really like Luna, how even though she's older, she still has the same way of viewing the world.

One little typo I noticed:
You said
"it’s supposed to be natural habitat of the Bainodendrons, you know?"

Isn't it "to be 'the' natural habitat" ?

Anyway, great job! I really like the bittersweet ending.

The MacGuffin Hunt by Inverarity

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Draco has one key to Helga Hufflepuff's Three Lock Box, and Harry has another. Harry and Pansy both have a brilliant idea, and it doesn't involve teaming up to find the third because that wouldn't be as amusing.
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 10/22/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Ooh, I love the plot. I don't know why they're trying to open this box, but its hilarious! Good job on Pansy's character. She's just as bratty and self confident as I thought she would be. I also really like when Pansy pretends to be Ron. Is this all of the story? I feel like there's more that should happen. Maybe Pansy and Harry's relationship could develop? Anyway, just some ideas…

Lily's Legacy by iruthb

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Grace Potter had grown to trust her Head of House at Hogwarts a lot, even when she discovers who her parents were. Then, when Snape kills Dumbledore and her brother becomes the most wanted man in Britain, Grace begins fearing that her misplaced trust will get her killed. Or worse, cause her to betray her only family member and her best friends.

Grace is a very interesting character. I've never seen a fic with Harry's sister before, but this is a really good start! Good choice putting Dumbledore's death as the beginning. It really caught my attention and drew me into the story. Also, I like how you incorporated Grace's house into the story. It perfectly conveys most Slytherins' prejudices. I'm very interested to know why Grace was put in Slytherin. Also, why her parents hid her from knowing she was Harry's sister.

Shifting Perspectives by TheUniverseWillSing

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A brief look at Hermione's struggles with her estrangement during PoA, and also answering the question of what might have happened if she'd still been holding onto Scabbers when Sirius "attacked"?
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 10/22/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

This is a good start. You portray Hermione's character well, especially when she doesn't want to use the time turner for anything but schoolwork. However, I'm not sure she would just burst into tears like she did with Hagrid. She seems more like the sort of person to hide her feelings.

I'm very interested to see how Harry and Ron treat Hermione later on in this fic.

What It Takes to be a Black by PInk_Witch

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Three sisters. One Dark Lord. This story is about how the choices they made affected who they turned out to be.
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 12/26/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

I liked this piece. It was great to get a look into all three of the girls' minds. Bella and Narcissa seem to both be alike in this fic, at least a small bit, because they both compare themselves to their sisters a lot. This emphasizes the difference between Ande and her sisters, since the other two are always comparing and she is more of an independent person. I think you captured Andromeda's and Narcissa's personalities quite nicely. I'm not sure about Bellatrix, because I think she'd be more lofty, but her character was pretty believable as well. There were a couple grammar issues such as commas being in the wrong place, but the mistakes didn't interfere with the telling of the story so good job!

Wow, I love it! Are the shadows like their fears dragging them down?

Dark Fire by Phoenix Song114

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Celesta Grey isn't expecting anything good to come out of her fourth year at Hogwarts. Why should she when her parents are ignoring her, her insufferable cousins are bullying her and her friends, and she is reminded of a secret every waking minute? Cell isn't expecting new feelings to arise, or a strange foe to come, or even a simple promise that turns out to be harder to keep as each day passes.
Cell is in for a complicated year. Bloody typical.
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 10/24/13 Title: Chapter 2: Short-Lived Excitement

Great job! I love your OCs, especially Cell. She seems pretty well developed. I also like your description of Hufflepuff, how no one wants to go there so they have hardly any people. It's so sad!

For your decision about making Regulus Black in this time, I'm not sure whether he actually was in the trio era and is just really old now, or if you just put him in here at a normal age for a parent of Hogwarts students.

Other than that one patch, the story is very good. I especially like the friendship between houses, and Matt's welcoming attitude toward Muggle- borns.

Sanctimonia Vincet Semper by kneazle_on_a_hot_tin_roof

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Growing up as a member of the Malfoy family, Valeria has always struggled to conform in an intimidating environment and to the strictest of demands. Until one fateful day when she finds herself completely cut off. Lost, adrift and facing destitution, she finds help from the unlikeliest of benefactors. The opportunity arises to build a new future for herself, and her life will take an unexpected turn...

I really like Valeria's character. Though she was raised in the Malfoys, she isn't stiff or snobby and is actually rather sweet. I also love the way she treats Draco. She really puts him in his place, and he knows it.

Enigma by Ichthus

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Every man has secrets, and Severus Snape has two he will do anything to protect.
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 10/20/13 Title: Chapter 2: Chapter One

I like that Snape is moving on from Lily. In the beginning of his friendship with Deirdre, I think they could have been a bit more awkward, but otherwise that's good. I'm very interested as to where this story goes. Will Severus and Deirdre stay friends as Voldemort's rises to power?

This is a good idea. It's very interesting to hear what happens after the war in terms of news. All this gossip about Umbridge is great as well. It really explains a lot of her actions, and works well with canon.

If you are still writing articles, I think it would be interesting to hear on about Rita Skeeter. I never did find out what happened to her …

Great job!

The Art of Acceptance by goldensnidget92

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Colin Creevey sees acceptance as an art form. It disguises his loneliness, his insecurities and his conviction that he does not fit in.

Luna Lovegood has never been accepted, but remains perhaps the most content person Colin has ever met. As his feelings for her develop throughout their years at Hogwarts, Colin must prepare to renounce the acceptance of his friends; instead learning to accept her and, ultimately, himself.
Reviewer: Daenerys_bella_girl Signed
Date: 10/20/13 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Second Chance

Oh, this is so sad! I thought Colin might have been strong and stood up to his friends. But this really does show what our lives are like. People stand with their old friends and try to blend in. I really like how you built up this tentative friendship, and then had Colin destroy it in a second.
