Summary: Hermione attends the Charity Masquerade Ball, silently praying that he would finally come - that he wouldn't let her down this time. She hadn't seen him for a year now and she starts wondering why she’s even waiting for him. Why hadn't she moved on? What if he didn't show up this time?

Draco watched her from afar, his cool gray eyes taking in her every movement. It had been far too long since their last encounter. He couldn’t – wouldn’t – keep her waiting any longer.
