Bittersweet by Aebhel

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: It's funny about wars. They drive people to do things we never would ordinarily--good and bad. Harry and I had only been dating for four months. He loved me--I know that and I knew it then--but if there hadn't been a war, he would have waited. I think he just wanted something to hold onto...for when it was all over.

Ron comes across Ginny's diary, four years after the war has ended.

EDIT: 1000 reads!

Wow, everyone else cried too. Now I don't as much of an idiot. Great story. It got me emotional. Too bad it was only a one shot. Instead of being a really long mediocre story, it was short and sweet. I give you a well deserved 10.

Elevator of Hopes and Fears by Byn

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Shortly before his 17th birthday, Harry returns to Grimmauld place where he stumbles upon a secret room with the help of someone special. H/G with background R/Hr.Post-last battle, pre-HBP (confusing, eh?). Chapter 6 in queue!

Hey, I really like your beginning. Are the chapters named after Keane songs? Just wondering. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Keane songs and eventually Hot Hot Heat songs.

Unforgotten by pottersperfectprincess

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is post HBP, and Harry potter is having a very bad summer, like all the rest of his summers have been. Many things lay unforgotten in his mind, but he wishes that he could forget.

Wow, good story. I like how you show all of their different views. Your story is very realistic to Harry Potter, too. Some of the fan fics aren't. Keep it up.

Author's Response: thanx! i'm glad that you like the POV switching thing! i wasn't sure if i should do that or not, but i guess that it turned out ok! i submitted the next chapter already, so it should be in in about a week (if it's not rejected). thanx again for reviewing, i really appreciate it!!! :)

ALBUS AND MINERVA by Wiccan

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Yes, yes I know...the visual is enough to turn you off! (Run screaming and gagging in total disgust! Bleegggghhh!) Alright...get your minds out of the gutter! There will be no wrinkled old bodies wrestling and sweating in the throes of passion here. These are NOT hormonally driven teenagers. Rating is for subject matter only (I mean they actually mention the word…SEX! Horrors!). I have just often wondered if there wasn't something going on between these old fogies. JKR seems to hint at an intimate sort of playfulness between them and I decided to investigate that aspect. This is a one-shot complete character analysis. I hope you enjoy it and it doesn't give anyone nightmares. Let me know how you're sleeping...

You know, for some sick reason I actually liked this ficcy. (no offense.) But seriously, it answered all of those teeny questions lurking in the back of our minds that we never had the guts to ask. It was also really funny. I just had to cringe when Dumbledore mentioned it-who-must-not-be-named. I loved it!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Oh...you mean the It-That-We-Don\'t-Speak-Of (without blushing)! At first I thought you were referring to Aberforth! LOL! I am just the right typr of sick puppy to investigate those lurking questions.Thank you so much for your kind review.

The Song of the Trees by Tinn Tam

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Damaged by the war, Harry flees everything that used to be familiar to him and instead roams the night, haunted by unsolvable questions -- what truly killed Voldemort? And what lurks in the Forbidden Forest, where the trees seem alive?

As his investigation progresses, everything Harry has learnt is called into question as he discovers the most jealously kept secret of the Wizarding civilisation.

Wow... I just read it all the way through. I absolutely loved it! Even though half the time you either had me in giggles or my eyes filled with tears. I tried to guess what was happening with the plot, most of the time I was part right, but I would not pick up on something else. You are a wonderful writer, you would bring something up, make us forget about it by making us all giggle shamlessly at Harry or want to cry for Remus, and then tell us the rest of the story. I LOVE this story! And now I'm really worried about Ron because he just realized he loves Hermione forevermore and he gets attacked by some green-tree-bird-thingie. Ugh... and now I guess I get to worry about it until next chapter.

Author's Response: I\'m very happy you loved the story! I hope the giggles and tears were in the appropriate moments, though ;). Thanks for all the nice things you said.

From Fen to Glen by Magical Maeve

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Salazar Slytherin is old and weary, but still working his own brand of magic. He finds himself in a tavern in the northern town of Alnwick, reflecting on what was, and on what could have been.

Date: 05/24/06 Title: Chapter 2: Birth

Wow! I really like it so far. It gets really in depth into Salazar's childhood and starts to explain why he acts the way he does. He simply wants power. Maybe it will help explain what happened with Rowna? Please update soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. And I\'m updating again!

For What It's Worth by Aelan Greenleaf

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Three meetings, two people, one place. The girl and the boy, together and apart. Nothing lasts forever, but at least she remembers when it felt like eternity, when the days were soft, the nights of dark and their love, forever [Lily/James AU]

I really don't know what I can say without repeating everyone else. It was a sad what-if story. Beautiful, well written, narration fit well. I liked it, even though a bit sad at the end. Obviously.

Such Great Heights by Aelan Greenleaf

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: War is hell. Years after the Final Battle, the man remembers, and writes the letter he has written so many times before. [Post Hogwarts; one shot]

"Tell her... tell her the half-truths. It's better than the lies."

I love that line. How can you make everything that is so sad... beautiful in a way, I guess. I can just feel Harry feeling numb, and it makes me feel numb too because of how much we love Harry and want him to get a happy ending. Love it.

And the Sky Was on Fire by Aelan Greenleaf

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: I held your cold body against mine, as I shivered from both shock and grief. You were gone, and I had never even known you. And the skies above us were on fire, on fire with the new dawn, the dawn you would never see. And I cried.

I love it all. The title, the story, and the saddness. And how you can make something so sad a tad bit beautiful in it's own way. You can just feel the saddness radiating from Harry, the regret, and that ever present feeling that he could of saved her. Thank you for writing it.
