If you're looking me up, you probably like my stories, so thanks! Hope you've left a review; I'm always glad to get one.
Three stories--Harry 5.5, Harry 5.9, and Black's World--form my Saving Sirius trilogy. Black's World was awarded an Order of Merlin, First Class for Best AU at Fiction Alley. Enjoy!
Very funny! I particularly liked this line: "Within thirty seconds the two of them were firm friends, which isn’t surprising when you have such a wonderful personality like Mary Sue." It never takes her more than that to become the fourth member of the Trio, does it?
Author's Response: "Mary Sues" do afterall have wonderful personalities I wouldn't blame the trio for becoming quick friends :D
Ah, of course Hermione loves Mary Sue (and her hair and her clothes) even though she's horning in on Harry and Ron. Of course, Draco shows up for some half-witted conversation. Cal's taken on more than he can handle with Luna and Ginny, I fear. Keep going; this is good!
"If I'm the man of your dreams, keep dreaming." God, this was funny. More, please?
I can see Ron as an artist. He's a Pisces--they're very artistic. Wouldn't he wonder why Hermione was suddenly showering him with attention? Maybe not; he'd just enjoy it. Great chapter.
Author's Response: I'm glad you approve of Ron's secret drawings. As far as him wondering why Hermione was suddenly showering him with attention.....Ron's always been a little slow on the uptake :) And of course he'd enjoy it!
Lots of fun things in this chapter. I particularly liked Draco's transformation from taunter to crybaby. Having the girls band together to outmanuever the boys was so right. Merlin's nightgown? Lol. Must know what's behind the tapestry, of course. Good cliffie.
Author's Response: Merlin's nightgown is a play on Gone With the Wind (one of my faves). Scarlett O'Hara is always going around saying God's nightgown. I just changed it for my fic :)
Brilliant chapter. Loved all the inventive items in the caves and this cubed Milius character. So old Godfric and Rowena got down, eh? Kept a lot of toys around, too... All right, I won't go there. Anyway, can't wait to see what Ginny will do as a Veela and how Hermione will use her invisibility.
Author's Response: Teeheehee! You're too funny! And I have a sneaking suspicion your mind may be in the gutter (don't worry, mine is most of the time too!) :)
"Putting his head together with Ginny was an idea that definitely had appeal to him."--Yeah! Go girls! Oh, there were so many funny/sweet bits in this chapter. Seems the girls are making the right choices with their items. What will they pick next?
Author's Response: Girl Power!!!!
What a satisfying chapter! Ron giving Harry a serious nudge, Malfoy punched out and the fabulous Breakthrough Moment! Sigh. Love it, love it--but what's beyond that blinking arch?
Author's Response: MWAHAHAHA!! You'll just have to keep reading to find out!!!
Marvelous how well the girls' plotting worked. Guess the guys just needed a little encouragement. Very nice to have Harry and Ginny together at last. The rather chilling scene with Voldemort and Bellatrix added just the right touch of tension.
Author's Response: When don't guys need a push in the right direction?? :) There's plenty more of Bella to come!
I know other reviewers have said it, but the combination of romance and mystery is terrific. I adore exploring the caves as the chapters progress and discovering all the creative things you've stocked them with.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Laudomia. BTW, don't think I've abandoned your stories! My hubbie is on vacation for a few more days, so I don't get as much computer time. I WILL get them done!
Wow, interesting chapter. Felt sorry for Neville, of course, but it was funny to think of Draco looking after him (sort of). Bella the runespoor is a wild card--no way to anticipate exactly what she's going to do. Must read on.
Author's Response: Yes, Bella is up to no good. And poor Neville, everything always happens to him!
Many funny bits in this. I especially liked the red, hairy "pillow" and Ginny's purple hair (not sure Snape would do glamor potions in class, though). The idea of McGonagall pre-testing students for Animagus potential was very creative, as were the animals they could become. I'm very curious to see what's in store for the Quartette in the caves.
Author's Response: Well, the purple hair has become quite popular. It may not be exactly a type of spell that Snape would do in his class, but after all, this is fanfiction :) Glad you liked the Animagus bit. It will probably come more into play in the sequel.
Yes! Can't wait for the Harry/Bella showdown. I wondered if Ginny would be so nervous, but then remembered she had not been in on all the adventures the Trio experienced. Took her a little time, but she found center nicely. As someone else said, I'm glad you pointed out that Ginny isn't dead--gah, that would have been too painful. Exciting chapter.
Author's Response: Yes, I think maybe Ginny is a bit nervous in this chapter, but she recovers nicely by letting her bravery shine and sacrificing definite protection (her half of the amulet) to give Harry double power.
The most powerful chapter yet. I could feel the struggle Harry was going through, and kept thinking yes, no, yes, no... But it's not good for a hero to kill in anger; that would make him a seriously dark character unable to defeat Voldemort. Perhaps that's why Voldemort sent Bellatrix?
Author's Response: Yes, Voldemort would never do his own dirty work. He considers himself too important. He has plenty of minions to do things for him. I couldn't have Harry kill Bella. He didn't kill Peter, so why would he kill her?
Everyone's staying nicely in character, plus you've given us the "modest" Loreena and we've gotten Milius back (yay!). I'm thinking Harry needs a break and a good rest, but doesn't he always?
Author's Response: You noticed how "modest" Loreena was huh? :)
I liked the gentle quietness of this chapter. It's sad because Ginny is still comatose, but there's a special, loving quality to Harry. I do keep wondering why Ron and Hermione have to find the cure; aren't there any adult healers available? (Not in the Potterverse, I know...) I also think Molly would probably have moved into Hogwarts by this point, but who'd want Mum when Harry's so singlemindedly devoted?
Author's Response: Yes, there are adult Healers working on Ginny's case, but they haven't found a cure yet. And Hermione absolutely shines when it comes to doing research! She's determined to find that cure and save her friend. And of course Ron is helping since it's his baby sister. Molly is ther frequently, I just don't mention it everytime she's there.
Oh, that was so good! You do a wonderful job with romance--and suspense, humor and mystery as well. Bravo!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Coming from such a talented writer, I take your compliments very seriously!
Excellent first chapter. I like the way you've depicted the characters and the bits of humor. I'll definitely read on.
Author's Response: Thank you! I promise I'll get to your longer fics, I'm trying to balance reading fanfic, writing new chapters, and getting caught up on the first 5 books before HBP. But I WILL get to your other stories!!!!
This is a story that will reveal what will happen if the most mischievous of the Marauders joins forces with the ever-creative Weasley Twins. This is an epic tale that will reveal the mysterious myths and history of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Blacks. Be mystified, and roll over with laughter, as Sirius bumbled his way through his 1st year at Hogwarts in this alternate tale of the HP tradition.
I'm intrigued--and so in need of a Sirius story! The prophecy idea is very clever and in keeping with wizarding society. Think I'll enjoy this one.
Author's Response: Thanks! I've been enjoying your fic as well (Harriet Evans) pointed it out to me ... but I wonder how you managed to leave a review *L* I'm having a hard time logging in....(which is why it took me quite a while to reply as well)
This was such a satisfying chapter! Hermione and Ron are nicely IC and Harry, well, he's delicious. Lucky Jessica. Will wait (impatiently) for more.
Author's Response: Yeah, Harry was a little taken aback. Fortunately he gets over the Percy act rapidly. Thanks Laudomia!
