Author's Response: Yeah, the situation with Hermione's parents is a bit unfortunate in that respect. I've always figured that she would start to feel a bit distant from them after a couple years at Hogwarts, since they're effectively immersed in two different worlds. But a big part of this story will be about how her relationship with them develops. Thanks for reading!
