I read one of your later stories before this one and I guess it's hard to review this one since it's, understandably, not as good since you are currently a very talented writer now. Thank you for the gift of getting lost in your stories.
Author's Response: Haha, yup, I feel the same way about the entire "Aversion" series. It's good, but it's definitely early in my writing "career." However, I still stand by it, and I'm very flattered (and relieved!) to hear that I've improved. Thank you so much for reading!
It was the worst news a father could receive: his son was marrying his worst enemy's daughter.
But for Draco Malfoy, being in the role of the reasonable parent was in itself a debacle as he tried to make the best of a bad situation. But when circumstances forced him to spend more time than he ever cared to with the most irritating Mudblood on the planet, he constantly questioned his sanity, as well as that of his son.
However, Draco might have come to realise that things change, as well as people. Is Hermione Granger Weasley the mad bint he remembered, or were they both a little different this time around?

This story has also been nominated for a 2014 Quicksilver Quill Award: Best Humour Story.
Great job keeping true to the characters and creating a believable situation where they would interact.
Fantastic story and I love that you wrote it from Draco's point of view. Appreciate that you were able to keep the characters true to their character and not change anything from the books.
The Battle of Hogwarts changed the lives of many.
For Katie Bell, nothing mattered anymore, least of all her Quidditch career.
For Draco Malfoy, it meant he had to face that surviving comes at a price.
They each had their own demons to face alone. But for each other, they were a form of release.

Many, many thanks to my beta Sarah/TheCursedQuill, whose speedy beta-ing and wonderful comments helped transform this into a two-shot.
**Originally written for Jess/ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor for the SPEW Summer Swap under the title 'Release'.
Beautiful story and felt true to the characters. Definitely one of my favorites.
Author's Response: Wow - thank you so much! This means a lot! xx Ariana
I've read all your stories and this one is the best. Well done!
Michael Corner muses on his short-lived relationship with Daphne Greengrass.

Originally a drabble written for the amazing Jess/ToBeOrNotToBe…in the SBBC's Musical Drabble Exchange. It was based off the song "Ain't that a B*tch" by Aerosmith and the title is taken from the lyrics of that song.
A big thank you to Natalie, the impeccably wonderful beta for this in its drabble form.
Winner of the 2012 Quicksilver Quill Award - Best Non-Canon Romance.
Inspired and perfect. Nothing but praise.
Author's Response: Ahh thank you so much! This review left me smiling! xx Ariana
Falling in love teaches Dennis Creevey that sometimes, needing someone isn't a bad thing, especially as it helps him forget all that he's lost.
It fails, however, to show him that forgetting can only go on for so long.
Thank you to Ari for her loveliness in betaing this story.
Beautifully done, poetry of the heart.
Author's Response: Thank you for this beautifully worded review :) xx Ariana
A lot can change in a year.
Susan returned from Ireland to find Theodore Nott engaged to his Hogwarts sweetheart. Determined not to lose him again, she vows to keep Daphne Greengrass --the enemy -- close enough to watch over.
Little does she know that this is a game of fire, and it only takes a single misstep for one of them to get burned.
This is lucca4 of Gryffindor writing for the Great Hall Cotillion Challenge.
**Thank you to the wonderfully talented Soraya for being a fantastic beta :) **
I thought this was unique and very well written until I got to the part where Daphne compares her torturing a friend to allow for his murder to a young woman deciding to end her pregnancy at such an early stage (she wasn't showing yet) that the embryo didn't have brain activity yet. The idea that Daphne, someone cold enough to torture a friend, would consider a first trimester pregnancy murder is ludicrous. It's too bad you couldn't have left your extremist views about abortion out of your writing. It would have been great other than that.
Author's Response: I'm sorry you feel that way. Seeing as that is not my view on abortion at all whatsoever, I'm struggling to see how you managed to find that in my writing. Daphne is psychologically manipulating Susan, praying on facets of her life that she wishes to keep hidden - she is in no way shaming the abortion, but she is trying to goad a reaction out of Susan. I hope this clarifies the mix-up for you. xx Ariana
Why would Hermione say she would turn him "back into a ferret"? She's never turned him into a ferret. That was Barty Crouch who was disguised as Mad Eye Moody. Other than that, I thought it was very well written and true to character (except for the sexual feelings of course, but that makes it more interesting).
Incredibly well written and true to character. Loved the analogies. The only tiny criticism: I just can't imagine Ron going out with Pansy.
Author's Response: Really? Ron/Pansy are one of my favorite side ships! I feel like she's enough like Hermione to give Ron direction, and Ron is head-over-heels in love with her, so he doesn't mind it. I feel like they're more equal intellectually than Ron/Hermione ever could be. Idk - they just work for me. :) Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thank you so much for reading!
