I live in west central Minnesota. I'm 50 years old and when I'm not writing Harry Potter fan fiction I'm probably either playing my cello, guitar, or banjo, or else I'm observing the Moon and planets with one of my telescopes. I love J.K. Rowling's interesting, well-drawn characters, especially Severus Snape, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and Dobby. I recently took the new sorting quiz at Pottermore and was sorted into Ravenclaw, which pleased me very much.
Hmmm, that's chilling ... because we know she didn't change ... great short story with a thought-provoking twist at the end! (On the other hand, I didn't think she looked bad at all, at least in the movies ...)
Author's Response: Bellatrix turned out to be one of my favorite characters. Her baby voice was annoying but she is so beautiful. I couldn't resist writing about her. I wanted her to live but she was such a good bad person. And, we know that she doesn't change. She kept getting worse. And she did remain beautiful until the end. I'm going to try to finish my chaptered story about her this spring some time and have the canon ending; then I might consider writing an alternate ending letting her live. But we'll see. How did you like my Archangel Gabriel?:P
Nice little story, and the fart cracked me up!
Author's Response: OMG! I didn't know I didn't respond to a review for this long. Now I'm really embarrassed. As mature as I think I am I always giggle at farts. I have that a little more under control than I did before (the giggling) but I will still laugh in a very undignified way. I think Gabe is a little suspicious as to why Bella keeps popping up and has an easy explanation for everything. Thanks for reading.
I enjoyed the suspense and the prmise of this prologue, as well as the theme of a good son of an evil father seeking the best for his daughter. I do hope you'll continue this story.
If I may add another comment, especially for those who love Severus Snape and want to see more of him: My writing of this story is, in part, a deliberate effort to build upon the love many have for Severus as a character, and Severus and Lily as a couple, while at the same time adhering to canon (yes, Severus was killed by Nagini, no, Severus and Lily didn't get together, etc.). May I simply say that the fullness of Severus' role in Lily's story has yet to be revealed ...
My previous self-review has a typo in it. I meant to say that the fullness of the role of Severus in Rosie's story has yet to be revealed.
Very nice!
Author's Response: Thanks, Michael, for reading and reviewing!
That's beautiful. Thank you very much.
Author's Response: Thank you for being a kindred spirit and for reading the poem. It's a sad day.
