I'm a truck driver who was introduced to Harry Potter by my daughter in 1999. The books are fantastic, the movies are some of the best made, and the fanfic is better than that I've read in Star Trek, Buffy, and even the Xena universes.

BTW, the Sorting Hat put me exactly where I belong, in Gryffindor.

Revival of Autumn by AstroFire

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: The war is long over, and Harry is now reflecting on what his life is. But is it really what he thought it would be?

A short one-shot with Autism as the main theme. Meant for mature readers. Rating due to the sensitive topic.

Loads of thanks to Kasey for modding and guiding me with this story.

Don't you dare remove this story! I have 4 daughters, Dawn has Asperger syndrome, and Amanda is autistic and also has Down syndrome. All of my daughters are precious to me, and I think your story shows very well the emotions I've felt as a father.

Author's Response: Wow, Trucker, I\'m truly speachless.

It\'s truly a priceless honour to hear this. I cannot say how thankful I am that you felt it was realistic. I put a lot of work and devotion to it, but above all, a lot of emotion. It is very rewarding to know that you liked it. As I said in another review, I do not have a personal experience which to relate to, but I have done a lot of research on the subject. And although this story doesn\'t really brings a lot of facts regardin Autism, I did try to embed the emotions I felt when writing it.

Again, thank you immensely for your review. I am truly honoured.

It isn't nice to make a gray-haired truck driver cry! Thank you for a most touching story.

Love's Not Time's Fool by Moonysgirl79

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Remus and Hayley have been going out for some time, but things get difficult when Hayley begins to understand why Remus disappears once a month. Will a well-kept secret shatter the foundations of a seven-year friendship? Or will it bring them closer together? Third in a series of one shots following Remus' and Hayley's relationship. It helps if you read the others first, they're not overly long.

A beautifully told tale with only one wart: "where he would spend the rest of the night in his dormitory, not speaking to a sole." I wouldn't want to speak to the bottom of a shoe either!

Author's Response: lol *blushes* oops *goes to edit* Thanks for reviewing. The next one should be up soon, in case you were interested.

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

I've already read the Mary Sue parodies, and find that you have, once again, made me smile, snort, chortle, and laugh. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you for reading this story too! Did the pen names make you snort? I could easily imagine Dumbledore being tickled by them! :D

Carry On Wayward Son by BeautifulDreamer07

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry Potter has just lost the last person who stood between him and Voldemort. Dumbledore respresented everything good and worth living for in Harry's life. With him gone, Harry is more alone than he ever thought he could be. Or so he thinks...

A one-shot loosely based around the chorus of the song Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas. It explores Harry's feelings after the events of HBP. Character death is hinted at.

Disclaimer: JK Rowling owns Harry Potter. Kansas owns Carry On Wayward Son.

A nearly perfect piece! All I'd change is Hermione's statement of "You still have Ron and I." Hermione always has perfect grammar, so that should be "You still have Ron and me."

I think you showed the depth of Harry's emtional turoil perfectly.

Author's Response: :) Thank you!

Time After Time by Moonysgirl79

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The night of the Easter dance, Remus and Hayley have a lot of things to sort out. Will he ever let her into his heart, and his secret? Can she ever forgive him for lying to her? Rated for very mild language.

That was a nearly perfect story! I love this series and hope you'll finish it. Until then, I'll just point out that "loosing" someone means to set them lose. I think you meant "losing" in this case.

The Source of Magic by GoG

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: COMPLETE At the start of his 7th year, a stranger from his mother’s past arrives to help Harry find the remaining Horcruxes – and teach him to attain the power the Dark Lord knows not. Harry learns surprising things about his mother.

The Ministry of Magic, increasingly under Voldemort’s thumb, attempts to infiltrate Hogwarts, but the feisty Headmistress McGonagall is equal to the challenge. The race against time to destroy the cunningly concealed Horcruxes takes the reader to dark realities where Voldemort reigns supreme.

A story to make you think … with a little mystery, romance, adventure, philosophy, and humour along the way.

This fic is complete and I'll be posting all twenty chapters as fast I can get them validated. It is canon-compliant up to Book 6, and does not follow on from my previous fic: The Ghost of Godric Gryffindor.

This story is much better than your other one (Ghost), which is amazing when you consider how excellent the first one was!!! Only one error so far - I think - didn't Ron miss getting his license by an eyebrow, not an elbow?

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A dark fic about families torn apart. Daisy Potter is thirteen years old and is already burdened with the responsibilty of her autistic sister and ill mother. Will she ever be able to go to Hogwarts?

This fic deals with Autism and other Mental disorders so if you're easily upset by such thing then I advise you not to read this fic.

Let's see -- you're from a "perfect" family and yet you tackled some very tough issues, including autism, and put them into a very moving story. Hmmm....

WOW!!! You hit this one out of the park!

Author's Response: Thank you! That\'s such a high compliment! I am lucky to come from a secure family (though, I wouldn\'t say it\'s perfect!) so writing this was a bit of a challenge, but I\'m so glad that I seem to have managed it! ~Evie

Oh Baby! by Spenser Hemmingway

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Brave, resourceful and with a great soundtrack, Harry Potter has faced countless challenges over time. Dozens of Death Eaters…bring them on. Angry ogres…nothing could be easier. Voldemort even…he was simple. Then Harry meets a real challenge. Now if he can only find the instruction manual…

They named the triplets Huey, Dewey & Louie? LOL! You are a great comic writer!

Author's Response: Great grief! I never noticed that! Actually, I was considering Athos, Porthos and Aramis, but there are actually readers who don\'t know who they are. Hmm...I suppose that there are readers who don\'t know Donald Duck either, but I took the chance. Thank you for reading. Eric B.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Gin_Drinka

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “You sing to me every night that heaven is somewhere over the rainbow. Granddad told me today, when I asked him, that heaven is after the stars. Everybody tells me that’s where my father is and…I miss him. I wish I could be with him. And if that means being a million light years away from earth, then that’s how far I want to be.”

Harry's family is missing him. A heart-wrenching conversation between Ginny and her fatherless daughter.

Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill for Best Dark/Angst. Thank you!

Where Luna Lives by Ennalee

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Sometimes Luna remembers the explosion of sound against her eardrums, the blast of hot air (throat raw, the insides of her nostrils burning), the shower of tiny sparks like fireflies, but flaming. Sometimes she just remembers running through the damp grass, feet bare, her mother dancing on the lawn before her, white dress and shining hair, singing.

Being Janey Weasley by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Fourth in the Janey Weasley series – oh no, it’s not over yet!

I’m Janey Weasley, and this little one shot is from MY perspective – lucky you! I’m nearing my twenty-first birthday, and there’s lots going on. Job interviews, family gatherings, along with lots of other matters of interest. Read on, and you’ll find out exactly what’s been going on since the last look in you got on my life! It’ll be amusing for you, I’m sure – it always is when you’ve a loopy family, barmy friends and boyfriend and ... well, mostly just the bit about having a loopy family. Welcome to my world!

Reborn by maria_taglioni

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The Weasleys’ trip to Egypt was crucial to Ginny’s emotional recovery after the Chamber of Secrets. This is a missing moment that attempts to explain how Ginny overcame the trauma of Tom Riddle's possession.

Reviewer: Trucker Signed

Wow! You certainly have a firm grasp on the subject... The biggest problem some of us have is with being far too harsh on ourselves, believing our misdeeds somehow are worse than anyone else's, unforgivable, and that we somehow are beyond redemption. That's just another form of hubris and a lie we tell ourselves that we need to get past. Thanks for an excellent tale showing how Ginny may have learned that lesson.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing it. I happen to fit in the category of people you\'ve described, but then I give me a mental shake and say to myself \"hello, you\'re just like anybody else and thus prone and allowed to make mistakes!\"

Alyssa Lies by Katty Wood

Date: 03/20/07 Title: Chapter 1: Alyssa Lies

I also recognized the song. Nice twist at the end; very well done!

Author's Response: Aww thanks. I didnt really see it as a twist, just a natural progression of the story. Thanks for telling me your thoughts, I was quite worried it was horrible! Happy Reading! ~Katty

With Much Left To Say by Seren

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

I've no idea where you got the idea for this one, but it was brilliant! You're right; those who can no longer speak for themselves deserve to have their stories told in a courtroom, or justice will be denied.

Chatting with Werewolves by beauty and brains

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: I, Ashley Elizabeth, Special Correspondent and Junior Assistant to Rita Skeeter, am about to embark on my first ever interview with one Remus Lupin. My task is to document the life and troubles of how a werewolf copes in these dark times. I only hope that this Lupin isn’t a good looking chap, because I have been known to go on tangents with the male species. Let us pray.

For Want of a Nail by the nutty imp

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: This is a strange tale about events that resulted to Neville Longbottom becoming the-boy-who-lived.

I blame a dead crup, Sirius, Bellatrix and some escaped fairies. Wipe that smirk off your face, I'm being serious here... really!

Reviewer: Trucker Signed

Fantastic! I agree with most of your assumptions here. My only criticism is that you didn't capitalize The Boy Who Lived as in the books.

Author's Response: Thanks. I\'ll correct that :)
