I am a very big Marauders fan (mainly Lupin). My favorite HP books are PoA and HBP. I sort of kind of hate the movies in that they are not up to my standards, but I like them in that they're addictive and quite fun to watch. I don't really ship anyone, but I find it fun to write stories about ships I don't particularly believe in, such as Dr/H. My main unhealthy obsessions other than HP are anything to do with the Phantom of the Opera, Broadway musicals in general, and, um, food. That counts, right? I'm a beta on PI with no current projects, so if you need a beta, I'm here for ya.
My beautiful username banner is by Butterfly Kisses, and here are some other lovely ones for my collection of ship banners (don't ask):

Harry Potter and the Phoenix Song by Black Iris

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Pre HBP, post OotP, no HBP spoilers. AU as of HBP

Troubled over the loss of his godfather, Sirius Black. Harry finds himself drowning in depression and fear; until he gets a visitor with a gift even Harry would never have imagined. This story is complete. Check out the sequel, Time of the Lost. ;)

THANK YOU for updating. I literally not been able to stop reading this one. I practically had to be surgically removed from the computer. So addicting! P.S. prongs_potter_rulez or whatever, I WISH YOU WOULD DIE RIGHT BACK!!!! Don't be such a little baby just because the fanfic doesn't appeal to you. And have a little taste, huh?

In the words of Darth Vader: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I am one of the biggest fans of this series, I read it almost obsessively. I discovered it by accident, and now, I am going to wait by the computer, night and day, for the sequel. The ending was more perfect than can possibly be imagined. I cried. This whole series was beautiful, stunningly, astonishingly, perfectly beautiful. Thank you.

Ditto, Bishop. I am also a "Harry Potter and the Phoenix Song" addict, and this is my favorite chapter so far. Oooh... such evil makes me shiver. "Apologize to my mother! Avada Kedavra!" I can't get over that...

Unveiled Secrets by forsakenphoenix

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: “He does the only thing that he can. He tells Harry a story about four boys in school, magic, smoke screens and tricks of light, about a beautiful girl that they'd loved in different ways and a prince without a crown who did everything that he could and nothing that he said he would but was kind and gentle and universally adored.”

When Saints Die, The World Stops Spinning by forsakenphoenix

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Hope, loyalty, love, despair, and tragedy. Through it all, Lily discovers the truth about the Marauders, the affable troublemakers who hide behind smokescreens but still glitter in shattered light. They aren't the glorious, graceful men they are often perceived as, but stumbling, awkward boys who are still trying to find their way out of darkness.

Yet another fic that made me cry. It was… beautiful in the largest sense of the word. Lily was so… wonderfully portrayed, as was my favorite character of all time, Remus.

A Dusty Old Volume of Inconsequential Verse by Vader

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Here you will find a jumble messed of ill-conceived poems. Perhaps, and the odds are firmly against it, you may stumble across a small smile, intriquing thought, or unique feeling in here. But, again, it's very unlikely. Verse XI has been validated.

I realize that Vader is Harry/Hermione shipper by now, which I am quite against, but I absolutely ADORE these poems.

Author's Response: Well, this "untitled" is not a h/hr poem. But, I am really glad you like it. And, really glad you left a review. Thanks.

I thought this fic had many funny parts, such as the "cocky bastard" part and especially the "Mrs. Shit" one.

A Bitter Pill to Swallow by forsakenphoenix

Rated:
Summary: It’s the countdown to a breakdown. Lovers, friends, and those he thought were friends—it doesn’t matter what they were, all that matters is what they are—gone, dead; some buried beneath the surface of the earth, some beneath the surface of his skin. Post-Halloween 1981, RL/SB

Too Sweet to Remember by Canadian Confessional

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Meet James Potter, a clever, somewhat mischievous, popular student at Hogwarts. He takes every situation in stride and has everything under control, except one: Lily Evans, an amazingly beautiful and intelligent individual. He loves her more than anything, but she despises him more than anything, and a not-so-impressive run-in late at night with her leaves James thinking that chasing after Lily might be hopeless. Then, a series of events happen in James' life, which is topped off by an unexpected visitor that makes his sixth year too sweet to remember.

Whispers in the Wind by juniorauthor

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: At last, Remus Lupin's 'fury little problem' gets to him as he writes a hearfelt letter to his closest friend, and greatest enemy.

This is my submission to the 'Letters to Heaven' challenge/extra credit assignment, in favor of Ravenclaw House.

If I could change the number rating below, I would. To a 20. This story was heart-wrenchingly true. I read this on one particularly dark day, and while I won't say it made me happy, exactly, it gave me some insight into the lives of others... and the Harry Potter books. I'm not quite sure if this was poetry, or a story... but whatever it was, it was beautiful. I admit, I am a bit biased to adore stories about Remus Lupin, but this one was one of the best I've ever read, maybe the best ever written. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you win the contest you submitted this in!

Author's Response: I'm glad my story affected you in such a way, and thanks for your vote of confidence. Unfortunately, this was just an extra credit assignment, but thanks very much any way...thought I doubt Remus' letter was the best ever written. ;-)

Moon and Sirius by desertfox

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: ~One Shot~
It was a few days after Christmas; Harry had just left the Number Twelve Grimmauld place and returned to Hogwarts. Sirius found he was once again alone inside the house he dreaded. Staring at a photograph of his best friend’s family, Sirius retold the story of that fateful night when a family was shattered and a legend was born. ____________________________________________________________________________ “Wake up, James, wake up!” He pounded the floor with his fist. “Wake up, damn it! Wake up! This is not funny James. Ok, you got me. Now please, wake up! Wake up! No, wake up damn it. James, wake up! Wake up! Wake up…” ________________________________________________________________________ A story inspired by Forsaken phoenix’s story “When saints die, the world stops spinning”(or is that the other way around?) This is my first Sirius Black fiction, as a matter of fact my first ever fan fiction. I am not a Sirius Black fan (ah stop put the pitch forks and torches down please, I am not finished yet), but I think Sirius is one of the most interesting characters in the book. He was tall dark and handsome (I am a man so it’s a bit creepy to say that I know) and at the same time mysterious. He was a very straightforward man; when he was mad, he could be as scary as a bear; when he was sad, he could cry like a child. And that is what makes him interesting to write about. As for the title “Moon and Sirius”, part of the reason I call it that is because I have no other ideas. I am never good with titles. The Sirius in the title refers to both Sirius black and the star Sirius. Sirius the star is one of the brightest stars invisible on earth. It is one of the few stars that could be seen during a moon night.
Ok enough chitchat, I give you “Moon and Sirius”

This is, by far, the best fic I have ever read on MuggleNet. I literally started sobbing. Sirius is my second favorite character, and I miss him very much, so you can understand. About the point where baby Harry started screaming, “Paddy!”, I knew I was not going to make it through the end without pitching a spaz, so I grabbed a box of tissues and read the rest. Needless to say, I bookmarked this page. *applause*I only wish the author would writer another fic just as good, only about Remus this time… *grins*
