Hey all fellow authors, readers, Harry Potter fanatics :P,
My name is Rachel and I'm sixteen in May. I'm quiet, kind of shy, a daydreamer and artsy/creative I guess. I like Art - drawing and painting. Most of my stuff is just doodles and sketches which I just sort of keep in a drawer, but I have sketchbooks too. I like writing, i like reading. I like exploring, I like walking in the countryside and feeding the ducks. If I could go back in time, I'd meet Beatrix Potter for a day and we'd go up a hill and paint and write stories about the animals there; I'd meet Shirley Hughes and ask her to teach me how she draws and writes, and I'd go back to Jane Austen's life and find out who Elizabeth Bennet was and whether Mr Darcy exists for every eligible bachelorette!
I like singing, dancing and acting too, but usually only in my room since my dancing is umm...interesting! I hate Maths and science. I wanna kill algebra one day. I love kids and their imaginations. I love looking after them and I like inventing stories and games for them.
I'm doing English language and literature for the the next year (and hopefully after). Writing is a skill that has to be practised to become anything, so I figured, writing stories is pretty much a way to keep me motivated!. I love harry potter and JK Rowling is pure genius. She's my favourite author, hands down. I don't care about all those people who make digs at her by saying she only writes basic literature for kids...so? Just look at this site, dedicated to her :)
Since I was little I've always wanted to write professionally. Nowadays I'd still love to write a book, but realistically that's quite a big dream! Whether or not I publish a book, creative writing is a really useful skill to develop. So writing fanfiction is the way forward! It's far more fun and way less stressful than school will ever be - and no one judges you!
I like general fanfiction, but Harry Potter's all I've ever written. I almost started a Lost fanfic once since I'm really into that show and believe that Kate and Jack are made for one another! Lol. Anyway. At some point, I'll get my next fanfic up. I swear, exams and school are almost NOT worth the effort...but once they're over I am going to SIT DOWN with a HUGE cup of tea and write a fanfic :)

Here is the bit for all you lot reading "The New Surprise". Chapter 15 got deleted first time round, so that's why there was a wait. I had to completely re-write it, but I think the 2nd draft has improved a lot, so I'm glad really! Again, my apologies for making you wait!!

Awww.....Brilliant!!! I loved it!! I wrote a one-shot fic like this a while ago (urs is better tho, lol). It was so sweet, I wish this happened in the book. Lol! You should contact Joanne and get her to re-write book four based on this fic! okay maybe not, but it's still awesome!

Cool!! I really like this fanfic! Its really sweet but i think theres only one problem. You should write more chapters!! It would be really sweet!! But you ended it well for a one-shot. You kind of gave us this image into the future of Hermione and Harry looking really happy together with lots of children in their backyard running around. Awwww!! Hermione would make a great mum and i can imagine harry holding a toddler on his shoulders! Perfect. PS and yay! I'm the first-ever reviewer!
Cute. Sweet and witty. :) I noticed this cuz it was by you, and I didn’t realise you’d ever writtin it so I thought I’d give it a read (and it was worth it). I only want to mention a few things and try not to sound harsh! You had a tendency to change tenses a bit, for instance, you put ‘hermione said’ and then ‘ron strokes her hair’. Not a biggie, but I just got a little confused over whether you were speaking in the past or present (or writing, to be correct, actually! Well I liked it! I liked how you described her nightmare, it was very realistic. It made me get really scared, especially when she was running. Hey, and also (this is off the topic) but do you ship H/G cuz if you do, I have a fic about it, you can find it on my Author’s Page. I mighta mentioned it bfore, but I thought since you reviewed my other fic you might like to read this one! (it has over 200 reviews now! yay! erm, scuse me!) Thanks. PS To italicaze (I had trouble with this at first as well!!!) you just put < i > at the beginning of what you want in italics and then < / i > at the end, but there have to be no spaces in between (i was just doing that to demonstrate. And the same goes for bolding. If you wanna bold something you put a < b > in it. But don't whatever you do forget the forward slash at the end like this < / i > otherwise the whole text end ups being in italics!!! Believe me, I know from experience! You can read up on this in the FAQ in the help section. Glad to have helped :) (hopefully!) now do i get a cookie? Lol!

I use cliffies all the time in my fic, so you're forgiven ;). I thought it was excellent! At first i was a bit worried it would be anti-climatic that voldy just died like that, nothing else, but after what happened to all the death eaters and harry, im hooked!! Since Draco is marked as well does this mean he is going to die too?? Oh dear, I hope not!! So many questions!! Well I'd better wait for the next update to find out then :D
Oh wow!!! Totally great first chapter!! I'm automatically sucked in - i loved the way this was written - it's going straight to my favourites list. I liked the University of Aberdeen bit - duno why - i think my older sister might be applying there, but im not sure. OMG I am soo needing to find out about bitchy muggle sinclair!!!! Soz :) That was an excellent twist by the way. Hope Draco appears soon, and I hope he regains memory quickly. Poor Hermione - she's lost her parents and now the love of her life. Well - hopefully not forever. Please update this soon, but no pressure lol. :-) Excellent work.
Oh and I hope Derek doesnt hit on Hermione. To be honest since his mother is "Miss Sinclair" I have a bad feeling about him. He seems like the type who might hit on a girl and then be nasty and horrible, but I'm not sure yet. It's the gentlemenly kind you need to keep an eye on ;) specially in fics like these, with great unexpected twists.......
I checked back on this after a long time to see for an update... but i have a question (or are you not allowed to anser this yet?) Will this derek guy come back into the story? I know he's only been gone for one chapter, but it almost seems like he wouldnt come back because hermione isnt staying with them anymore..ooh i just had an idea..could he possibly be a death eater in disguise? Hmm, that last chapter was very intriguing. It left me with a lot of questions!! And im a curious person! Lol. I reviewed this chqpter before and as i said it almost seems like it will end now voldemort is gone. Or is this seqel going to go on for longer (i hope so!)...so many questions sorry!! Great chapter, the battle was really realistic.

Good chapter again! I love this fic, and yay you updated!! I liked how you put a little interlude in about Draco...and I'm dying to find out more!! But I can wait for now :)... I have a sinister feeling that all this nice-ness surrounding the Sinclairs is suddenly gonna burst into a horrible experience. Wish Draco would remember Hermione or something! But I understand why he doesn't........keep up the good work
