Hey,
Well here's some information about me. I'm 23 from England, with a three year old son. My real name is Clare, so please feel free to use it. I love fan fiction, especailly H.P fanfiction. My favorite type of fan fiction to read is romance, the more fluff the better! I ship Harry + Ginny, Ron + Hermione and James + Lily. I also love Marauder's era fics, well written book 7 and post war stories. I'm not really into slash, I have nothing against same sex pairings, they just do nothing for me.
I'm currently working on my first chaptered fiction, still untitled, about Amelia Malfoy (Lucius' niece) who forms a relationship with Regulus Black. I've written about five chapters so far, and I am just waiting to get them beta'ed.
My first fanfiction - a H/G 1-shot- is now up, so go check it out.
The beautiful banner was made by kitkat2010 from the beta boards. Thank you, its awesome.
Hi,
I have just read this story all in one go, and I wanted to review and tell you how wonderful it is.
I found the link on the MNFF beta boards, as someone had suggested it as a good Ron/Hermione fic. When I first read the summery I have to be honest, I was not sure about it. Nevertheless, I gave it a go, and I am very glad I did.
Your story was wonderfully written, and the characterization was perfect.
The plot idea of Hermione discovering she was pregnant and not wanting to tell Ron was brilliant. I could really relate to it, as me and my boyfriend were not together when I found out I was pregnant.
You handled Hermione's feelings and how she dealt with being a new mother perfectly.
The story was set at a great pace and I was pleased to read that Ron and Hermione did not just fall into each other's arms after the revelation of Hannah.
The tension and confused feeling were very well written, and made the story so believable and real.
I also loved how you threw in little details about the past.
This is one of the best-written Ron/Hermione fics I have ever read. It was a pleasure to read from start to finish. Well done.
Awww that was so beautiful. The song fitted perfectly with their relationship too.
It was very well written and contained a lot of emotion.
Well done.
I've just found this story and read all 4 chapters in one go. I love it, it's very well written and in a style similar to J.K's. Well done on a great story. Can't wait to read more.
I found the link to this fic on the Badger Review Circle thread. Even though I haven't got a fic of my own I'd like reviewing, something compelled me to read yours.
I'm so glad I did, as it was a wonderful story. It was very well written and full of emotion. I thought your characterization of Ginny was spot on.
I also liked the unusual coupling of Ginny and Blaise, even though its not something I'd go for it worked really well.
I loved you little touches too, like the information about Ron, Hermione, Lavender and Parvati's lives in the future.
The song fitted nicely and the imageary of the warm breeze representing Harry was beautiful.
I'd love to read the sequel when it's submitted.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for that lovely review. I\'m glad you liked it and the little touches;-)
So far the sequel\'s just in my head but I\'ll do my best to get it finished as soon as possible.
AWWW, the ending to that had me filling with tears. How beautiful!
You combined two of my three favorite ships perfectly (the other being Ron/Hermione). I loved the contrast between summer and winter in the story.
Your description was brilliant, the characterization was spot on.
It ws very sweet and full of emotion. Well done. This cute one-shot was a pleasure to read.
I've just read all nine chapters of thiss in one go! Wow, its great. Its amazingly written and the emotion is convayed brilliently. Although I usually stick to connon pairing, Narcissa and Snape work well together. I love that they had a history in Hogwarts. Its also nice to see a nicer, more gental sie of Snape. Well done, I'm looking forwards to reading more.
I'm really sorry but I've decided to leave this as a one shot. Thanks for reading :)
That was very well and beautifully written. I like your idea a lot. I was so sad whan you didn't pair James and Lily together, but I really like Lupin and Lily. The end part about Lupin and their children visiting Lily's grave was very sweet. Are you planning on writing more, about the other Marauders?
I hope so and can't wait to read them.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I didn't expect such praise :D Yes, I have written some about the other Marauders but they're very short and may have to be done together. I'm not sure if they're very well written but I'll leave that up to you to decide :)
I've just read this whoe story in one go and I must say, its awesome. Your characterization is perfect and your description is amazing. I also love the whole plot idea, and it almsot feels kind of 'Big Brother' like.
Great work, keep it up. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: I never thought of it as Big Brother-ish, but I guess in a way it kind of is. I loved the first couple of seasons of Big Brother here in America, but haven\'t watched it since. Thanks for your wonderful review, I am glad you like it. More is coming very soon.
Wow! Men can really do fluff. I think thats one of the most beautiful romance/songfics I've ever read. Well done.
Your use of language and imagery was fantastic and you convayed a lot of emotion.
i also liked the added touches of other people's relationships etc.
The end line of "This is a good day to be in love." was perfect.
Well done, this was a pleasure to read.
Author's Response: Aw gee, shucks! *blush!* Again, mad propz to Lady_Rhian, who is beta-reading another, longer story even as we speak. There will be more romance and fluffiness coming, plus a well-deserved dope slap.
The story was not at all what I expected from the summery, there was so much feeling and wonderful detail to it.
Oh my goodness! The cliff-hanger at the end was amazing.
I originally thought it was Lucius who brought the ring.
I have never read a dark/angsty fic before. This was a great one to start with.
You description through out was fantastic. You set up Knockturn Alley beautifully. I could almost smell the grime of the place.
I loved the power of the ring, how it started of slowly, suggesting doubts in May's mind then lead her to the conclusion suicide was the best answer.
I also really liked how the ring had claimed countless other women over the years too.
All the self-doubt you described was brilliant, it did not seem forced, it came naturally and builds up well.
Great job, I think I might have to start reading more dark/ angsty fics from now on.
Well done! Great little one-shot.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m so glad you enjoyed reading it - especially if Dark / Angsty isn\'t your favourite genre!
Wow! Awesome chapter. I loved the cliff hanger.
The banter between Harry and Ginny was really goo, and the whole detaention and Ginny's daydreams about what might happen were great. Overall a really great chapter. Well done!
Fantastic opening chapter. Its really good to see a book 7 fic start with the aftereffects of the war.
It was well written and your characterization was spot on.
The emotion in this first chpter was amazing, so many times it had me filling with tears.
Looknig forwards to reading more.
Author's Response: Ahh, thanks so much, Clare! I\'m really glad you liked it! Emotion is really important to me in a fic, so when I hear that I made someone feel something, it\'s really awesome!
Another great chapter. I like how you've now flashed back to the start of the trio's last year. I noticed from the warning that you'v deisregarded Book 6. I wasn't sure about that at first, but it seems to be working out really well.
Again your characterization was really good, and I liked the details of the sorting and feast.
I'm looking forwards to seeing how this story ptogresses.
Author's Response: I started writing this fic last February, so HBP wasn\'t even out yet. So, the whole thing is AU since I didn\'t know the events of HBP when I began writing it, and I kept it that way throughout.
But I\'m really glad you liked it, and I hope you like the next chapter when it\'s up!
Unusual pairing, and not something I would normally read, but fantastic never the less. Well done!
