The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. I was wondering how you would follow the last two chapters which went out with sucha bang! Im pleased that you didnt try to top them or anything. I cant wait to see where you go with Hermione as an 'alcoholic'! You really have a phenomenal way of working things into the story, so you always have a new bit of info to work with but still stay on topic without completely sidetracking. I cant wait to see how the love knot unfolds!

Author's Response: After writing two chapters that have been viewed as hilarious by most of the readers, I decided to tone things down. I do love humor, but I didn’t want to wreck the story by adding an overdose of it. So I'm glad you thought it was a good idea that I didn’t do anything to top the previous two. There’s a reason I wanted Hermione to be labeled as an “alcoholic”, and you’ll see why soon enough. Thank you so much for your kind words… Though I admit, sometimes, because I have quite a number of things going on, I have to make little side-notes to remind me of them. Hopefully you’ll like the way this story continues! =D

It's sometimes not very easy to keep them true their characters while adding romance, but I try and good to see it working out!
