I'm a 26-year-old engineer who has become "obsessed" (that's the word my wife uses, anyway) with Harry Potter. Of course, she also accused me of being in love with Ginny Weasley once, so.... *shrug*
I write (and read) stories like the ones on this site as a way of escaping from the real world for a while.
Currently, I'm working on two chaptered stories (see below), which I update just as fast as the amazingly awesome Moderators will let me. I know I get frustrated when it takes forever for a story I'm reading to get updated, so I try to avoid giving other people that same frustration. :D

Hooray! They're on their way out! I thought Bella's empty promises and then her rage when she couldn't find Harry and Ginny were very appropriate. I'm interested to see what happens next.

I've noticed that your writing really seems to improve as the story progresses, so congratulations for that. Date: 06/07/06 Title: Chapter 27: Homes
Hooray! Finally a chapter that didn't make me want to hit the computer screen. Actually, the last one was good too, I was just disappointed that Mauricio hadn't hit Ginny. It's not that I think he would really do that, I just had this really funny picture in my head of Harry storming over to Mauricio's apartment to curse him, only to find that Ginny had turned him into a giant banana slug before she left. I know it's extremely random, but that's what I really wanted to see.
This chapter, though... it was great. I, like Harry loved the fact that he kept coming out on top in the sidebar, but I'm more glad that Harry and Ginny seem to be Harry and Ginny again. Here's hoping that Paris treats them well, and that The Letter will resurface soon. Cheers!

Sorry, didn't do it for me. I'm not saying ginny and Hermione wouldn't ever look at other guys, but they're just not the type that would actually sit down and make a list. Hermione, for one, would be appalled at anyone who would objectify people in that way. Ginny... let's just say that if she actually married Harry, she'd probably be a little more sensitive to how he would feel if he were to find out about this little list.
Don't get me wrong -- I really like your story overall, but Ginny and Hermione are just a little too OOC in this chapter. The hotties list, or whatever it is, may be something that most girls do, but Hermione and Ginny aren't most girls. The beginning was very good, though -- the discussion of the life-debt. Very believable.
Please update soon. I apologize now if I offended you with any of the above. That's just how I feel.

Hooray! It's always nice to see a new chapter up, and, as usual, you've done an excellent job. I'm going to assume that the lie Dumbledore told to Sirius was that James already knew, is that right? That's what I gathered from the conversation with Melinda, anyway.
I'm dying to know what Dumbledore's plan is, and what happened to Snape. Oh, and Fred and George (I almost forgot). Keep up the excellent work, but please try to update more often. You're killin' us!

Another great chapter. I'm glad you didn't drag out Lily's transformation -- the suspense would have been too much. It was heartwarming to see her and James together again, but I agree that she really should give him all the details soon. I guess now she's got something big in common with Remus (being a cursed being who transforms against their will).
I'm still thinking that Riddle will pick Harry as his heir. (BTW, am I correct in assuming that immortality comes hand-in-hand with sterility?) Perhaps Harry becoming Riddle's heir will make him a Parselmouth, etc., just as Voldemort's failed AK did in the books. Hmmm... I do think it would be cool if the heir-making process gave Harry his lightning-bolt scar (it's just so weird to think of him without it).
I'm extremely excited to see what happens next. I want the Potters reunited, darn it! Ok, enough of that. Dumbledore takes his sweet time, but sometimes that's the only way to do it. I think he probably had Sirius locked up to prevent him spilling the beans about the kids being alive.
Keep up the excellent writing, and PLEASE update soon.

Draco Malfoy is friends with Harry, Hermione, and the Weasleys, and is dating Luna Lovegood. Charlie is falling for a dragon. Before I started reading this story, I would have said this was impossible to pull off without some serious OOC-ness. Thanks for proving me wrong. Somehow, you've managed all of this while still making it believable, and I salute you for it.
As for this chapter, I think you did a really good job. Ron's right -- Ginny is sort of filling in for Hermione. I can't wait until they go after Lucius, although I would kind of like to see Morgan roast him instead. Maybe she can get Fenrir. :) Keep up the good work. We're all anxiously anticipating the next chapter.

I have a BAD feeling about this.... If the Death Eaters were trying to strip Harry of his ability to love, then I can only think of two possibilities:
1) They might have been trying to kill Ginny in order to throw Harry into an irreversible depression. If that was there plan, though, the light would have been green, right?
2) This is the one that realls makes me uneasy. They could have cast some sort of spell at Harry that was intended to remove his ability to love, but it hit Ginny instead. So when she recovers from her physical injuries, she won't be in love with Harry anymore. Oh, I REALLY hope that's not what happened.

This was a great chapter; I'm so excited. I can't wait to see the rescue of the Thompsons, and I really hope more of the (good) witches and wizards can get their powers back. I still wonder what Harry has to do, though, and what Snape has to do, for that matter.
