AUTHOR UPDATE!!

Wow. It's been a while. But I'm still alive, and now that I've finally got the net in the apt., I read all those wonderful reviews that have been left for me since May and before!
I adore all of the HP world. It really makes me want to buckle down and keep writing on my real novel. As per usual, I will make sure that this site (after my live journal) is the first to know once I get a publishing deal. Because I would be so flattered if since you spent so many hours and gigabytes supporting me online if you'd spend fifteen or so of your hard earned dollars (and a few more of your hours!) to read my real 'no pen-name required' novel.
Feel free to keep up with me via live journal (user name bartender713), but I will warn you- I am a 23 year old graduate student. Contents of my personal life may very well be not suitable for children, so read at your disgression. If you want to know whether you're old enough to read about my personal life, well... if you have to ask, you're probably not :-)

I don't think Harry is being 'wimpy' at all. I think you wrote his reaction PERFECTLY. I know that's how I would react.

Harry Potter and the Punishment for Immaturity by Obliviate
Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: Mere weeks after OOTP's end, we find Harry in his room. He is unwilling to do anything but lie in bed, demoralized by the loss of Sirius. That is until he receives a letter. This is an AU fiction with some anghst and pairings of Hermione/Ron and Ginny/Harry. Humor is my primary focus however. Story complete. There is a sequel: "The Deepest, Most-Desired Wish." You can find it in the Dark/ Angsty section.

I remembered you asking about what we (the readers) thought about how the story should turn out- that is, when Harry should learn his lesson.
Let me tell you that I think this is an absolutely WONDERFUL story, and I love the creativity. I can't wait to see what Dumbledore's Lesson really is. I'd say- just to annoy people- that Harry shouldn't be "righted" before the end of the summer. Although... I WOULD have him turn back at least within the first week of term, and just show up. When people ask questions, he could just say "WEll.... I had some... growing up to do" Or something to the effect, prolly just less cheesey. :-)

If you're looking for a read, I would reccommend "Escape"- can't remember the author, but it has a rather creative twist, too, and it's one of my other faves.
Author's Response: Thanks for the recommendations. "Escape" is really good so far. I like it a lot, so thanks for telling me about it. I've thought of writing a similar story (that is where Harry somehow lives with his parents), but I've read a couple, so people would probably say I plagiarised.

hahaha. Harry must have been SOOO cute as a four year old- all that tousled black hair!!! And that bath scene!!! HA! sooo typical four year old male!
Author's Response: Another new reviewer! Thanks for reviewing. You're probably right about Harry being cute, but not just his hair. Green eyes are so precious on young children. I don't think Harry was protesting the bath for the same reason other four-year-olds do, however. He was still thinking like a sixteen-year-old at the time. Thanks again for reviewing some of the older chapters.

man, I totally feel for Harry and his Pox. I just got over shingles last month (aka adult chicken pox) and let me tell you- they were NOT FUN. I was sick for 3 weeks, and that's just NOT good when you're in your third year of college. on to the next chap....

Oh, MrsGeorge, well done! SOrry I stopped reviewing on all the chaps, but I had to log off so I pulled up the story on the new "story" option (which is wonderful, btw! Yay to for adding that feature).
I loved the character developments- Ellie is wonderful. SO headstrong and VERy much a Potter/Dumbledore mix. I also really enjoyed the idea of the "green" Howler you had Neville receive! I heart Neville!
I'm off to read your next continuation-- I know it will be AMAZING!
