Everybody Does It by Grimmrook

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: *Runner Up in the 2006 Annual Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Dark/Angsty*

It's the one thing everyone must do. You can't avoid it, you can't bargain with it, you just do it. It hurts sometimes, hell, it hurts most of the time, but it's also the most natural thing in the world. One of those rare things that makes us human.

This story is included in the Epilogues story arc, however it is a side story that can be read at just about any time. it is most favorable, however, to wait until reading Epilogues Part I for certain thematic reasons.

I just read it again, and I have to say that you had me in tears the entire time (yet again). It is rare that a fic will do that to me (My main focus in fics is death) but yours truly does. It's really really amazing, and you are an amazing author!

Author's Response: Thank you again so much. I just reread your first review to this, and you know, I\'m really humbled that this story still affects you. It\'s like it wasn\'t just a quick hit you and then it\'s over. Somehow I managed to write something with staying power, and I can\'t believe I did that. Thank you so much.

Between a Chinese Fireball and an Amaryllis by Purplemage

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: "Sometimes, just sometimes the right decision is not always the one that makes the most sense."

Heather hadn’t wanted to see Charlie Weasley because she knew it would awaken many memories and feelings she had put to sleep a long time ago, but once she saw him she couldn’t help, wanting to know what he had been up to. Where had her lost love gone?

This story was the first price winner for the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes one-shot challenge .

OMG! Awsome characterization! Charlie is just like I have been imagining him lately- except for one thing. I don't think he would kiss a married woman, even if he was deeply in love with her.

But aside from that- it's a great story! It's perfect for my mood at the moment, utterly depressed. Keep up the great work.

When is your Humour Fic coming out?

Author's Response: Well, thank you! In canon we see so little of Charlie that we have a lot of room to work with him. Maybe he wouldn\'t kiss a married woman, who knows, but in my fic he kissed her to say goodbye, it wasn\'t a passionate stick-your-tongue-in-my-mouth kinda kiss. My humor fic wasn\'t validated and I never received an email explaining why it wasn\'t accepted, so now I have to find out what is wrong with it, but thanks for asking. And thanks for the review!

To Be Held by Seriously in love with Sirius

I love fluff! But that's not the point. Thecharacters you made them here are totally canon AND they fit together perfectly! I LOVE HARRY AND GINNY!!

Author's Response: why, thanks!

His Eyes Were Black by SiriuslyMental

Summary: Was he always evil? A little something I wrote in my spare time about Severus Snape.
Reviewer: guiding ray of sunlight Signed

Woah. The fic is so powerful. It shows Snape go from good to bad to good again. If this doesn't convince non-belivers, nothing will. Except maybe Jo herself. *Sheads a tear for Dumby* He didn't die for nothing!

Conflict by grangergurl

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Harry Potter's life is now Voldemort-free, but he is far from carefree. His wife, Ginny, has come down with a disease from which she may not recover. However, the time that Harry could be using searching for the cure is snatched away by the newly - rising Dark Lord, Draco Malfoy. Harry cannot find the cure until beating Malfoy, which should be easy....right?

OOH...Cliffie! I must say - totally awsome fic! You characterrised them all really well. I like the part with Hermione teaching Joshua how to say Hermione. If he had pronounced it her-my-own-niny, Ron would have had fits...

Author's Response: Thanks. I was going to make him pronounce it that way, but Joshua really couldn\'t even pronounce that (my brother) so I wanted to make him as realistic as possible. I also thought that I would be copying the books too much. Thanks for the great review!

It's so sad and dark in the start, and then the end is hopeful. like she has hope for future generations. I like fics like that. I like the refrence to the veil (Sirius *sheds a tear*)

Great work!

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you like it. *phew* No one is getting upset about the ending...

Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely by loral

OMG! That was so sad! *wipes away tears* That was great characterisation, you really captured the mind of a lost and lonely first year. I like how inside the letter he debates whether or not he really does love her. Natus is a great characer, and I can't wait to read more about him.

Author's Response: Thanks! Son of Dad\'s Worst Enemy is currently in queue, so the wait shouldn\'t be too long.

Harry Potter and The Process of writing Fan Fiction by Purplemage

Hey! I dion't realise untill now that this is also a Victor/OC! Anyway, I am now (relativly) calm, so I wanted to say that I really like the fic, even if you did make their personalities a bit eccentric.... Love the ending though, (BOOM)

Author's Response: Yay!!! A fellow Gryffindor *huggles* I guess you can say they were a bit OOC. Thanks for the review!

The Tooth of the Lion by Marauder by Midnight

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The Four Founders of Hogwarts have arrived in tiny, forgotten Hogsmeade to search for a location for their school. But just as school opens, Salazar Slytherin confronts his friend Godric Gryffindor with a threat.

A Gryffindor banner entry. Written in response to avenger_of_dumbldore's banner.

Date: 07/24/06 Title: Chapter 1: The Tooth of the Lion

that was ausome! the end where Godric and salazar argue is such a perfect ending! my fave sentance is 'Some things, Salazar, cannot be killed with a wand' and the part where he talks about the fact that he will always be there is sooo dumbledor! you can see why dumby was a gryff (like us!) anyway, great job, totally spiffing.

Author's Response: Hehe yes. I like to think of Dumbledore as a reincarnation of Godric ;) Thanks!

Possessed by the Imperius Curse by Dumbledore Prince

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: This story elaborates upon the day in Broderick Bode’s life when he was Imperiused by a Death Eater. As we know, he was forced to take the prophecy from the shelf, but he did not succeed.

Written for the Harry Hospital Wing Project: The Department of Mysteries by Dumbledore Prince of Gryffindor house.

Instantly, his mind went blank. He felt blissful. A seemingly authoritative voice echoed inside his head.

Wow. That was one amzing piece of work! I like how well you described the effect of the Impirius curse, and the feeling of no self control that fills you when under the effecty of the curse. Moreover, I liked how you made him already in the bigginning someone succestible to the curse, by his lack of interest, and his seemingly no self-confidence. I also liked how ulike Harry, Bode did not even have a stable amount of ressistance even in the face of a regular Death-dEater, while Harry managed to ressist Voldemort on his own. Then again, Only Harry is cool enough to go into ALLCAPS.;)

Great Job!

~Sunray

Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I\'ve tried to keep Bode true to what we\'ve seen of him in Book Five and I\'m glad you\'re impressed with his characterisation.

OMG, Gabby! I just got around to reading it now, and I do not regret it. *sniffle* though I might be depressed for the rest of the day *sigh* oh well, everything comes good at a price...

You truly did a great job expressing Ginny's pain, I hope you write more fics like this.....

Author's Response: I\'m so glad you liked it! I\'m currently writing another dark/angsty fic that may prove to be even more depressing than this one. I think I should give fluff a shot...

Dragon Tamer by Khrys

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Charlie Weasley goes to Romania to work with Dragons. How will he survive being so far away from home, not knowing a single witch or wizard? Follow Charlie as he remembers his first day in Romania.

Please note, this story is set in my universe from The Boy Who Lived and is the first in what is a planned six story series. Of course, as I fall madly in love with Charlie, and picture myself as Cordi, I may choose to write even more. :)

Ooh! I love this! Charlie's characterisation is amazing, and I can practically see him jumping onto a broom and catching the snitch at any time! Well, he did catch quite a snitch, if he has Cordi...

“Hey Cordi,” Charlie whispered softly.

“Yes?” Cordi asked, halfway to the stairs leading to their shared quarters.

“Soon,” Charlie promised.

So sweet! You just feel like crushing Charlie in a big, humungus hug!!

I really loved this!
~Sunray

Author's Response: Such a lovely review. Thank you, Sunray. I really love the relationship between Charlie and Cordi.

OMG! such a sad fic! I could feel Sirius's pain. His words to Lily and James are so touching, and the flashbacks *shivvers and sobs* Keep writing!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. And don\'t worry I\'ve still got a lot of stories coming.

A Test of Patience by cmwinters

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Immediately after the Dark Lord is ressurected, Albus Dumbledore assigns Severus Snape to Dragonmirna Preserve in Romania to help combat an outbreak of Dragon Pox amongst the creatures as most of the handlers are inflicted with a rare and serious strain of Doxy Flu.

Except, with Snape, nothing is ever quite that simple, is it?

Rated 3rd-5th years due to some clinical references to sex towards the end.

This fic was written for MNFFs "Gauntlet Second Run". It was one of the most enjoyable challenge fics I've ever done and I highly encourage others to participate as they become available.

I greatly enjoyed this. I had a whole long review typed up and then the CP decided I wasn't logged in so I lost it. So here are the highlights of the review-I liked the charctrerisation, liked how you brought im historical characters, and sniffed at how dimwitted one woman can be ;)

~Sunray

Author's Response: Oh dear. I hate when that happens. It\'s happened enough (It just did it to me! hahahaha!) that I\'ve learned to compose the review in another window, or at least copy and paste it before hitting the submit button. And I\'ve noticed that some sites do it more than others. *cough* The dimwitted woman, I had nothing to do with. ;) That was a Gauntlet prompt. BUT! The rest, I\'m very glad you liked it - I try very hard to keep canon and characterisation and incorporate what we\'ve heard in the books for other characters, even if we don\'t know anything about them. If you haven\'t done a Gauntlet, I *HIGHLY* encourage it, as it\'s a great deal of fun. :D Thanks a lot for the review!

great job!

Author's Response: I\'m glad you like the story, it has fast become one of my favorites.

Poison Rationality by StaceyLC

Ooh...I like it! I like how you brought Snape and Charlie (a VERY unlikely pair to find...) together on this journey. I enjoyed the fact that although Snape respects Dambledore, and says he cannot refuse him, he is consantly blaming it on him.

One... Charlie Weasley must survive the journey. Every precaution must be taken.

Two... I was going to kill Albus Dumbledore.

I absalutly love that line (two?)!!! It's halarious!

Finally I would like to thank you again for my absalutly gorgeous banner that you made *is currently ibsessed with looking at it...*

~Sunray

Author's Response: Yeah, I was a bit confused whether to put this in General or Humor, because I don\'t find myself funny, so I wasn\'t sure. I\'m glad you thought it was funny. I enjoyed writing it :)

I like your charcter of Snape. I like how even though everyone is moping he know that that isn'e the thing to do. though some of his comments are evil, it just adds to his character.

I like how you hint at other aspects of Snape's life. Sirius's grin, Lily's tears and so on. I also like how you put in Lucius's Munipulating of his fellow Slytherins, just as his son does during his days at Hogwarts.

Furthermore, I like how Snaoe breaks free of Lucius. It reflects his charcter like nothing else, for he did break free of Lord Voldemort.

All in all, I loved it.
