I know what you're thinking. You're probably thinking, What kind of username is x_lily_evans_x? And I agree whole-heartedly with you. x_lily_evans_x is a username that I'd chosen at the tender age of thirteen and five-sixths, and while most people at that age were capable of thinking wise beyond their years, I was, very unfortunately, not one of their number. And then now, two years on, when I'm capable of a higher level of thinking, I've wanted to change my penname loads of times, but it's just not allowed here. And because I have quite a number of stories up, I just simply cannot be bothered to sign up for a new account. So I'm stuck with that lousy penname. The end.

Lily Evans and James Potter share absolutely nothing in common, not even their feelings for each other. Lily, perceived as a ‘model student,’ detests the handsome, popular, Quidditch star James, who she thinks to be something of a git. James, on the contrary, has been infatuated with Lily for years, and has let her and the whole school know it.
As time progresses into Voldemort’s ‘reign of terror,’ the two have to learn to trust, tolerate, and love each other.

I love this story. Seriously. Not only do you write really well, all of them-- the Marauders and Lily-- are totally in character. I liked the way you portrayed Sirius. He's really funny in this chapter, like when he said, "especially you. You'll poison her." And I thought you handled how he talked to James about Lily very well. He was very believable as James' best friend, encouraging him to go after Lily. And I think it's in character for Sirius to not want to talk too much about his family problems, unlike some fics where he rants on and on about his family. On the whole, I think you did the character of Sirius very nicely. Well done. I'd say "hope you update soon!" but after about a year or more I don't think it's going to happen, and it's sad because you've such a brilliant story going.

Wow. Sirius was really in character in this chapter. I liked how he was kind of nonchalantly amused by the way girls were fawning over him and James. JK Rowling made it quite plain in Order of the Phoenix that he didn't quite care for girls, he seemed like the type to make fun of those girls who were into him and James. So good job on that. However, because Sirius is also a rather reckless person, he strikes me as the kind who'd go for stronger curses at Snape than "Expelliarmus." I was thinking along the lines of "Stupefy". But other than that I thought that Sirius was portrayed perfectly, well done!
