I know what you're thinking. You're probably thinking, What kind of username is x_lily_evans_x? And I agree whole-heartedly with you. x_lily_evans_x is a username that I'd chosen at the tender age of thirteen and five-sixths, and while most people at that age were capable of thinking wise beyond their years, I was, very unfortunately, not one of their number. And then now, two years on, when I'm capable of a higher level of thinking, I've wanted to change my penname loads of times, but it's just not allowed here. And because I have quite a number of stories up, I just simply cannot be bothered to sign up for a new account. So I'm stuck with that lousy penname. The end.

I'd like to thank all my former beta readers, and Joanna (lucilla_pauie) for beta'ing Intertwining Fates. I'd also like to thank my homies, Eliezer, who read through my excerpt bunnies and give me great suggestions for my romance fics, and Cherie, who came up with the brilliant title Turning Tables. Thanks go to Quan Yue, who tirelessly read through and edited my fic. Thanks, you guys! :D

Well, you-who-are-reading-this-page, I hope you'll take some time to browse through my fics, especially the more recent ones. Enjoy!

Good Night, Princess by MissyQuill

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Night time has once again taken its toll on a child who needs to hear a story before bed.

“I don’t want any of those books, Daddy. I want a real story. Please.”

“All right, what real story would you like?"

“I dunno, something with a prince and a princess in it.”

“Would a Half-Blood Prince suffice?”

Hi Sammy!

At first I thought it was Harry telling Lily the story, but then when the story turned out with a Lily/Sev ending, I was like, huh? But then I managed to figure it all out, and oh my gosh. I am a Lily/James shipper, but this story makes Lily/Sev cute, too. I can't say that I'm converted, but still. It was such a sweet story. I think I loved this part the most:

But the boy, naturally, came to save her... Actually, he came to save himself as well, because he could never have lived without her... So that could be counted as selfish reasons, but we won’t get into that.

His admission made it all the more sweet. My gosh, I think I'm melting...

-Mavis :D

Author's Response: Mavis love, THANK YOU for getting that part. When writing Sev, loads of seemingly normal subtilities are usually sneaked in and made to sound random and unimportant and it feels so great when someone catches on to them. And if you wish to be fully converted, go through my drabble thread which is a shrine to Lily/Sev.=Sammy

He Wasn't All Bad by Amelia Bedelia

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: COMPLETE. When trying to decide who might be worse - the Weasley twins or James and Sirius - the Fat Lady retells a story about overhearing James' confession to Lily. One-shot.

I loved the way you ended this story. Sirius Black! The possibilities... Anyway, this was such a sweet story. The only thing I found slightly questionable was that although Lily said that she loved James, she acted like their going to live together wasn't a possibility at all. Other than that, it was just so amazingly sweet and I enjoyed every bit of this one-shot. (:

Hello Michelle and Stacy!

I abso-bloody-lutely loved the beginning. You know why, Michelle. What wouldn't I give to be rescued by such a dashing young man from a bunch of hooligans.

I loved how you let Peter not lose his backbone in front of the Death Eaters, though I suspect me might not have been that brave, and probably would have hovered about the background anxiously. But then again, letting him be so brave is a lot better than having him squeaking in terror and running away, so excellent job on that!

And now I find myself wanting to fangirl about Sirius rescuing Marlene. So charming and smooth and gorgeous!

Brilliant first two chapters, and I'd love to read more!

-Mavis

Author's Response:

*grins*  Yes, the beginning was inspired, was it not?  Truly, who wouldn't want to be rescued like that?  I still see that scene playing out in my head and it makes me swoon!  XP

As for Peter, I just can't see him as the spineless jellyfish most portray him as.  I believe his weakness lay elsewhere other than courage, necessarily.  However, it could be argued that he simply felt more courageous surrounded by his mates in an extremely public venue.  >.<  In any case, I like the 'united front' of the Marauders in this instance.

Thanks for the review and for noticing my little poke at our conversations regarding another extremely impossible and outrageously handsome wizard.  >.>
