Summary: Harry is struggling to come to terms with the loss of the closest parental figure in his life, and the latest of his years has left him lonely and distrustful. But he needs to learn to reach out to others if he’s going to defeat Voldemort and live to tell the tale, and he needs someone strong there to help him. Who? His new guardian, Albus Dumbledore.
Between normal stress, the papers filled with Voldemort’s attacks, duelling training and a mysterious illness creating wounds from magic, Harry’s year is proving to be just as difficult as, if not more than, the last one. This time, however, he has his new guardian with him all the way. But will it be enough when faced with their most difficult task yet?
