Just an old bus driver that's older than dirt. I love to spoil my old sheep dog. Nana deserves it.

Harry Potter and The Story In The Runes by IHateSnakes

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lord Voldemort is no more, but the victors paid a high price. This story begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s seventh year comes to an end and Ginny's starts. While delving into the ancient story of Merlin, Percy Weasly brings attention to what appears to be the complete collapse of magic. Can he, or anyone stop the changes before it's too late?

Wonderful! But... AAAAUUUGGG! another cliff hanger! Just, please? Finish this story before wandering off to a third? PPPPPlease?
I really love the wry humor throughout.

Well done! Oh wow, Rufus Scrim a vampire? How cool is that?? I hope things improve at work. This was just as enjoyable as the rest of the story. I'm looking forward to being able to read the whole story from beginning to end.

Wow! That was intense. Very good descriptions. Your portrayal of Harry's emotional turmoil was clinically on point. It has always amazed me that Harry wasn't more messed up by the Dursleys than JKR portrayed.

Author's Response: Thank you. S.

Yes well that was expected. Whatever strong feelings Harry or Tom have felt have been linked.
Well presented.

Bedtime by Vindictus Viridian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: The Malfoys are entertaining, and it is time for little Draco to go to bed. He, of course, can think of better things to do than sleep.

Well written and compelling, if in a limited scope. A good start to a larger story. Too bad it's a one shot. Or is it???

Yours,
Godric

Author's Response: It is indeed a one-shot, but it fits into lots of other things. Thanks for the review! It rather made my morning.

An Evening at Queen's Hall by Vindictus Viridian

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Society-page reporter and music critic Imelda Skeeter found herself with a bit more to report than she had bargained for when she attended an Elgar oratorio in 1941. Formerly for the Daily Prophet Challenge, the society-event option, and bunnied by the discovery of a remarkable historical moment.

Excellent! Historically accurate and well written. Many predecessors of current characters of the current series.
Very enjoyable.

Yours,
Godric

Author's Response: Thanks! The original challenge was for a news report of a society event, and in doing the research for that I came across all these lovely historical tidbits. They were dying for a story, and suddenly Imelda Skeeter popped into my head in a dither, with a completely ruined concert review and more column-inches to write, immediately. I love one-shots.

The Lion Within - A Sirius Black Story by the nutty imp

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: He was raised to be a proper heir to the 'Most Ancient and Noble House of Black'. An unexpected turn of events sent him to an unfamiliar territory. Family foundations shaken, he will have to look within himself to figure out who Sirius Black truly is.

Nicely done. I found the fact that the Sorting Hat was aware of the rumours and people outside of the school intriguing. The poetic, running commentary was a nice touch.

Author's Response: I think that to sort people, maybe it ought to know a lot more than it lets on. :)
