I am a university professor who primarily does biomedical research and teaching for medical and graduate students. I am married with three boys, all who now tower over me. I am a hardcore Tolkien fan and love reading good SF and fantasy, especially Ursula LeGuin's writing. I really enjoy HP fanfic because there is so much variety. I also write fanfic when I get the time.
Oooh. That was a good one--some action and the plot thickens...
Author's Response: Yes, the plot is thickening up nicely. I need to turn the fire up a little and boil off some of the water, and add a bit of corn starch. But it is thickening up well. ~woomama
I just read chapters 1 and 2--good start. I think Severus is fooling himself about Hermione using a spell on him. He's just so unsued to being attracted to a woman (and apparently lust-filled, too) that he can't recognize it! I am eager tp see what happens next.
Author's Response: Thanks for reading! The matter of the spell/not a spell is coming up in further chapters. Chapter Three is already in Q.
I read the chapters on your LJ (part 5, chapters 21-25). Is this chapter (22, severance) the next chronologically? or will you post more chapters on your LJ to filll the time gap between Severus' romp with the centaurs and the end of Hermione's 6th year?
Author's Response: I plan to take this story through the end of HBP. I have the Currently In Progress chapters hidden completely, because I can\'t stand having people read over my shoulder while I write. So you\'ll see whole sections come up at once as I finish them. Severance and the next chapter, Bereft, are the last two of the entire story, so if you want to read them in order, ya gotta wait.
Absolutely excellent- I love manipulative Snape! Your characterization of both of them was spot on here. I will be looking for an update...
Author's Response: Thanks! They\'re on their way...
Aww, cute little owl. Will Snape keep him?
Author's Response: *falls over and dies* Snape does not keep anything cute. Period.
Hmmm, did she die of a borken heart? Nice progression through her various emotional states. Grief and rememberance take many forms and are triggered by the slightest things.
Author's Response: umm.... did she die of a broken heart? Welll, in a way yes, although i dont thnk it comes down to something as simple as that but it certainly a contributing factor in this case. Hope that explains... thanx, Ecca
