Harry Potter and the Reflection of Darkness by Czarina

Rated: Professors •
Summary: It’s the summer after the battle at the Ministry of Magic and Harry has returned to Privet Drive, where he awaits the time when he can rejoin his friends. A certain redhead has begun to occupy his mind and awaken emotions he never knew he had. As he continues to mourn the loss of his godfather, Harry slowly begins to heal and may have discovered a way to communicate with Sirius. Can it be too good to be true? Takes place directly following OOTP. Primarily a H/G romance, with some R/Hr as well. Rated R for adult content in future chapters.

I LOVED Harry's internal thought process. The description of what caused Harry to want to think about baseball, so to speak, was picture perfect. And I cringed (in a good way) as I read about Hermione's chest - a wonderful contradiciton to Ginny's. Wonderful stuff!

Author's Response: Thanks! Don't you just love all those hormonal outbursts? I didn't really think about the contrasts between Hermione and Ginny's chests, but you're right. Thanks again for all the wonderful reviews - I really, really appreciate them all.

Have to laugh over the rejection of your chapter business because it was not canon - nothing in my tale is canon anymore either! It's a post OtP story not post HBP one. You had every right to stand up for your decisions. Anyhoo, great chapter - loved the whole "protection in a box" line and the fact Ginny looked everywhere but at Harry. Sigh. Ron's confusion over his OWLs was priceless and you've got a real knack for writing Hermione - she's wonderful! Well done!

Author's Response: Your reviews just make my day! Yes, the chapter rejection is quite funny because it's really ludicrous. I think your point was very good about none of your story being in canon anymore either because I think it's a situation that will occur with many fics that were still being written when HBP came out. I really wish I could have sent the mod a Howler! Back to the chappie...great minds think alike I guess because one of my favorite lines is about the "protection in a box" and you're the first to mention it. I love writing about those awkward moments like "the talk" and Ginny's uncertainty. She and Harry will have quite a few of these moments over the next few chapters, so I hope you'll stay along for the ride. Thanks for the wonderful review - I'm glad to know that the characters are coming across as canon - even if my original OWL scores weren't (ha, ha...couldn't resist. My sarcasm takes over my brain a lot).

Okay, first off - Dudley on Atkins! Hilarious! It truly is the diet for him. Secondly, I love strange little leaps of stomachs! And Harry's intense reaction to the letter and his need to immediately write her back - very telling, even if he's too thick to figure it out. The twist on Ginny's letter was ingenious! Well done! Now, I'm dying to know what happens when Harry comes face to face with Ginny....wonderful stuff!!!

Author's Response: Ah yes, high protein and hell on the kidneys! I'm glad you liked the reactions and the twist with the letter. It takes him a bit, but I assure you that once he sees her, it dawns on him that his feelings have definitely changed. Of course Harry being Harry, he has to wait awhile before he acts upon them :-)

Harry? Looking good at the end of a summer?! I'm sure there is an excellent explanation as to why and I'm looking forward to findout out what that is. Excellent job with Molly - you've got a talent for writing her, Dennis! Until next chapter...
