Wow. That was an amazingly written piece. It's the alternate side of your other fic, I believe, and it is a really beautiful way. We got to see Sara's side, and exactly what was going through her mind, and how her and Tom really got together.

A beautifully written, yet sad story. Wonderful work.

Author's Response: Thanks, I\'ve always lived Sara\'s side of the story a lot. Thanks for the review!

Through the Eyes of an Onlooker by Cruciatus Love

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The House of Black may look beautifully decorated and filled with life through the eyes of someone who had never lived there, but when two boys have spent their entire childhood suffering the pain their family gave them, this same house looks only melancholy and depressing.

I really liked this story. It totally opened up an entire new level in my mind, as to why Sirius hated the house, and hated being back there.

I also love the way you show Sirus and Regulus (sp). They fight and tease, yet inside they feel different. I found it interesting how you said that Regulus masked his true feelings, and he wasn't really into it. It's a trait that *could* lead to him defying Voldemort, if he is R.A.B.

Wonderful job Shayla! Really great!

Author's Response: Thanks for the wonderful review! I tried to make their connection as realistic as possible.

Wow. Such a great story. I really love it. So sad. :(

I love how it's in first person, and so we get to see all of her perspective. I feel like I can relate to her (even though I really can't. ;)) Something about this story, I don't know what exactly, but I really just like it.

".. the day I was free. Free of the village and the hate, and most importantly, free of my cage. After seven years of confinement, I was finally allowed to leave the house."

Author's Response: / \\ | | I\'ll respond to that one ;)

Author's Response: LOL, those wierd //|\\ lines were supposed to be an arrow! :P

Whoa, woops. Part of my previous review was cut off. I meant to say, that that part of the story was my favorite line. It was just really good.

Overall, great story. I look foreward to more stories from you soon! :-)

Author's Response: Aww, thanks Sara! I think that\'s one of my favorite lines too!

A Death Eater's Bedtime Story by Sly Severus

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A father tells his young son a familar story. A story that has become the boy's favorite. It is the story of the Dark Lord and the evil Harry Potter.
Reviewer: Sarakime Signed
Date: 08/29/06 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Wow, that's a beautiful story!

The way he showed Harry in the bad light, and the Dark Lord in a good way was really great. And how he kept it good for his son.
Really great!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review!

I always assumed that Death Eaters were similar to the rest of the world when it comes to family. They are just people, after all. They just have a different view of the world than the characters we\'re used to. It doesn\'t make them completely evil.

Again, thank you for the review, and I\'m glad that you enjoyed my little story. :D

This is an amazing start. I love how the very beggining just hooks you into it. I couldn't stop reading after the summary and first few paragraphs. Awesome introduction to the story.

Plus, great desriptions. And a huge vocabulary that really helps the mood. The mood is great, showing how from the start, Draco's life has been hard. Great work!

The Silver Charm Bracelet by charmed_heart25

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: If your BF/GF fails to turn up at your date, what do you think happened? Most of the time, we think it's "just not meant to be." Maybe there's more to it than it seems. You never know. But don't say it's "just not meant to be."

Great story. Sad, though. Any thoughts of continuing it? Like, in the future, when he see's her again? I would love to see that. Good work!

Author's Response: Yes, I have been thinking of continuing the story (maybe an epilogue, or a sequel). And I\'ve decided to write it out and see if the story\'s good enough to be posted here. So you choose if you want to wait for it or not. =) Thanks for reading!

There's Nothing Left to Lose by blackhairedweasley

Jace! It's up! Amazing work. It was amazing when I read it before, and it's still that way.

All of your descriptions and imagery are really wonderful, as if I could be there and be expiriencing it all with him. A great start to a great story.

Good luck with your next chapters, I'd be glad to help out, if I can. :)

Author's Response: Aww, thanks for the review, Sarah! I have Chapter 1 coming soon, so keep chacking back! - Jacie the Cat

Great chapter, Jace!

Awesome desriptions, especially of his first reactions to magic. And his eagerness, for food and to go to the school.

The kitty was a nice touch. Is something more going to come from the cat?

I'd leave a better review, one that made sense, but I'm just too tired... :D Sorry.

Author's Response: Hehe.. It\'s ok, Sarah. The kitten was kind of meant to be his first friend. I wanted him to connect with someone that wasn\'t human. He still doesn\'t know the real good in them seeing as he\'s been looked down on all his life for being homeless (see prologue). - Jacie the Cat

Nifflers, Otters and Shrew by tickled_pink

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: What happens when the man Hermione feels far too embarrassed to ever see again (due to events entirely out of her control ... well, almost ... ) turns up as the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? The War is raging, the N.E.W.T.s are approaching, and the only question circling through Hermione's head (much to her annoyance) is whether or not five years older is too old.

It seems to be out of her control once again; avoiding Oliver Heaney for her entire seventh year seems not only difficult, but well near impossible ...

Excerpt from Chapter Eight

Oliver was a nervous wreck all through his seventh year class.

It took all of his will-power not to glance Hermione’s way every three seconds. He risked it only a handful of times, making sure never to do so when her face was looking in even remotely his direction.

As is usual with one who is out of control of a course of events one began, Oliver began to panic. Second-guessing himself was not something Oliver was prone to, and yet here he was, asking himself those terrifying questions. Did she get the note? Has she read it yet? What if it was all a bad idea? What if it all went horribly wrong?

What if she took the note straight to Minerva and told her everything?

Don't worry, this story hasn't been abandoned, just moving in a different direction than I originally planned!

Oh, I'm so sorry! I just realized that I didn't actually submit to you this review. It was for the Recommend Your Favorite Story (Non Canon) thing on the forums! At least, I think I didn't send it to you! Sorry!
__
Nifflers, Otters and Shrew is an amazing story, centered on Hermione/OC. This OC is Oliver Heaney, a new Professor at Hogwarts. Hermione and Oliver have quite the history, seeing as at Bill and Fleur’s wedding, they both became increasingly tipsy and told each other many secrets due to the influence of alcohol. They ended up sharing a kiss, though Hermione never told Oliver her age. He was under the impression that she was his age, just about. Like a slap in the face, he finds out that she is only a seventh year, but not only that – she was to be his student, seeing as he was the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher.

This story is very, very cute, and it deals greatly with the affect age has on a relationship. Both Oliver and Hermione try to hide their feelings for each other, finding them inappropriate due to the fact that Hermione is still a student and he is a teacher. Though he is only in his early twenties, their few year age distance goes into extreme scrutiny and is the depending factor on their entire relationship, really.

There are many encounters between the two, ranging from the cute happenings that take place during his class, whether we are hearing from his rambling thoughts or hers, all the way to after class discussions. This story keeps you hooked. It, too, is not yet finished, and has left us with a cliffe at the current moment.

The characterization of Oliver is so likeable and you honestly feel as if he has been there all along, with the normal HP characters. He has funny thoughts and it is apparent that he isn’t completely mature in his choice of some of his actions. He is helplessly falling/has fallen for Hermione, and vice -versa. Also, the writing of this author flows and is so well done that you feel as if it is JKR writing all of this. It is most obviously a great piece of fiction, definitely worth the time of any shipper. Though I am an avid Draco/Hermione shipper, I find this pairing so adorable and loveable.

Author's Response: Oh wow.
You’ve just made my day! [And I’ve only been up for about an hour!]
Seriously, my cheeks are now hurting from smiling so much – thank you so so so much!!!
Hee hee, I find the forums so confusing! I got sorted [into Hufflepuff – I wanted Slytherin!] and I don’t know where to go from there! Ah well, I’ll get the hang of it eventually!
Again, thank you so much! :D Oh, I have the next chapter written [it’s a long one!] and now I’m just trying to find a beta – and it resolves that horrible little cliffe!

I really love your story! This is the only Hermione/OC story I ever read and followed up on because it was so great! Please, update soon!

I love your writing style. It's really great. Well, your writing overall is great. It feels almost as if JKR was writing it. Or another published author. Have you considered becoming an author, full-time job? ;) If so, I'd gladly buy your to-be book.

Please update soon!

Author's Response: Thank you so so much!!! I\'d love to do a creative writing course at uni (and I keep having ideas for stories I\'d like to write) but for the meantime, I don\'t have the time. Maybe in the future! ~Tickled Pink~

Wonderful work. I love how we really get to see what's running through Tom's mind, during such an important time. The descriptions of how he felt trapped inside was great. Great, as always!

Wonderful ending. It's great how we get to see his thoughts, and how he feels. He isn't in control of his actions. I never thought of a love potion controlling a person, just swaying their romantic thoughts of a person. Great work!

Author's Response: Thanks. I;m glad you liked it.

I AM a Killer by Cruciatus Love

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy has had enough of everyone telling him who he is. He's had enough of other people wanting him to be who they want him to be. He wants to show the world that he's his own person, and that if he sets his mind on something he will do it. He will show the world that he truely is the dark character he says he is.

Wow. Amazing story. The fact that we get to see what he's thinking is great. I admire how you can depict exactly why he is doing it.

"He offered me everything he thought I might want, but it was never enough. He couldn’t give me everlasting life, and he couldn’t give me eternal power. Those were things the Dark Lord could give."
That is my favorite part of the entire story. It just kind of makes you feel like his thoughts were justified... even though they weren't. :) Lovley work!

Author's Response: Heh, thanks Sarah. I always thought Draco might have reasons for doing what he did whether or not most people agreed with them.

He Wasn't Bad At Heart by Queen of Serpents

Rated: 6th-7th Years •

Haha, no, I meant what a beautiful start. Like, the opening. Also, something I forgot to say before, that's a really good poem. :)

Author's Response: Ohh! Haha thanks a lot. If it weren\'t for that poem, I\'d never be able to write the story (which I wrote about 3-4 days before the deadline...wow that was one crazy week :P)
